[Q] any touchwiz roms with ota updates? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hi all,
The note 2 is my first Android device so please excuse the noob question.
I have rooted and flashed jedi x19 rom and am enjoying it. The problem is, x20 is out now and it seems to upgrade I would have to wipe my device again.
I think I want to stick with touchwiz. Are there any roms I can update without losing my data? I know I must wipe data to change roms, I'm just talking about a newer version of the same rom. Thanks.

[Q] Going back to Note 2 Stock rom ?

Hi,
I have had my note 3 for a while now and am selling my Note 2 so i want to flash the most stable stock rom for UK as i dont want the new owner to have any problems with the phone. Any advise ? What rom should i go for ?
I have been using the 4.3 roms with Note 3 mods and also flashed the newest bootloader to make the 4.3 wifi work so now i am wondering if i am able to go back to 4.1 or 4.2 stock roms without any issues ?
Or if the above is impossible then is there any rom i can flash that don't have any kind of FC's what so ever ?
EDIT: nvm i figured it out. SOLVED
If you already updated the bootloader i think you will be not able to use a rom that is older than the 4.3, but to be sure just ask someone more expert than me

Root: Newbie's questions about upgrading & updating

Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie to the community of everything rooting and post rooting. I have recently rooted my N7 2013 running 4.2.2 and flashed TWRP recovery/SuperUser by Chainfire/AOSP PA 4Beta ROM.
While I now understands how to update the ROM and how to get out of a bootloop and other similar rooting circumstances, I need help understanding the procedures involved in the below scenario :-
Should Android get an incremental or a major update,
1. Should I first update the Stock ROM followed by reflashing the custom ROM or just wait for the custom ROM to release their compatible update?
2. Should the Superuser have an update, that does have to be updated from Play Store or the update needs to be flashed? Also, does TWRP needs to be updated if there's an update because I have heard that some ROMs are compatible with recoveries from a specific versions? Is this true?
3. Is updating radios really necessary? Will updating the radios cause it to malfunction? What is the procedure if this needs to be done?
4. What do I do if I wish to chuck the custom ROM and return to stock ROM or what is called un-rooting?
If there's something I missed out on asking but needs to be done, please point me in that direction as well!
Thanks
Regards

Just follow the instructions in the ShinyRom thread here
forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/development/rom-6-4-14-shiny-rom-ota-stock-android-t2642375
and you won't have any troubles upgrading your ROM. It's easy and as you already have ShinyRom installed there shouldn't appear any problems!

Moving to another ROM (JEDI specifically): THings to be Aware of?

Hey guys, I have been having more than normal dropped calls and poor signals so I have decided to move to an actual TMobile ROM.
I am coming from an AT&T based SKy Note Air G2 ROM with the MK7 modem and PSN_AGNi_pureSTOCK-v3.9.5_N7105_4.3_AROMA-signed Kernel, I also had to do a WIFI patch because I upgraded from the 4.1.2 BL to avoid Knox issues. I have TWRP back from March this year. I was wondering if I need to do anything special before installing the JEDI ROM.
Any helpful guides to install this ROM? I have checked the ROM page but couldn't get the info I want.
Can changing back to a ROM native to your carrier help with service signal?

[Q] SGH-I317 upgrading from 4.1.2 to 4.4?

I have rooted and flashed the original stock ROM to a 4.1.2 custom ROM few years ago.
Now I am trying to upgrade to the latest 4.4, e.g. the DN4-V2.2 ROM. However, after flashing it in TWRP, I became stuck at the Samsung boot logo and black screen.
My question is, do I need to upgrade to 4.2, 4.3 then I can try 4.4 ROMs? What is the best approach to go about this?
Also, I am seeing certain "Kernels" and "bootloaders" as prerequisites for 4.4. Can someone please let me know what I need to do to my 4.1.2 Note 2 in order to try the 4.4 ROMs? Thanks.

Hit up the folks over in the DN4 thread. .
Flashing that build requires a few tricks that are posted in the OP of the thread.
If you still have issues. ..post in the QA thread for the rom...and they will help you out. .
I don't run DN roms so I'm sorry for not being more help to you. ..g
