I have installed JB Lupus kernel v13 full version along with the new racing speed xplay jb avaiable on @smokerman 's website. The thing is, when I try to use the mic in apps like whatsapp with it's push to talk function, recording audio comes extremely low, is there any way to fix this?
I have this too.
Is there a fix?

Hello Guys!
I've testing about one week some ROMs and kernels combinations, and many things has worked on many of them, like the camera, panorama, wifi, etc... But I see the ICS Camera Video effects working only on the AokPlay V3.1 + DoomKernel, and also, I really liked this ROM. Unfortunately, I can't get WiFi and Video playback working on this combination . I even tried a fix that xRegrets had posted, but I think it's for a old build...
Now I'm using DooMKernel + Hybrid evolution V 5.3.1, and almost everything that I tested is working, as it's Sony ICS Beta based, but the video effects I can't get to work... I look for some fix to it, but I didn't found nothing..
So, the question is, there's some way to get the camera video effects working on the Sony ICS Beta or some Sony ICS Beta based ROM?
About the AokPlay, I didn't found a new WiFi fix for DooMLord's kernel and even installing the wifi modules I can't get it to work, and I read on DooMKernel thread that's the video playback doesn't work for the differents video drivers, so... It's too bad .
And I tried the Keiran's kernel too on the AokPlay, but with the new release the Wifi is not working
Hi everyone,
Is there any compatible add-on of xLoud sound enhancement that can be applied to Desire HD's ICS ROM?
Last month, when I was still running my phone with Android2.3.4+Sense3.0
I flashed the xLoud Engine made by Pacha, and it worked GREAT!
Sound improvements for phone speakers are easily noticed.
Currently, my phone is running Blackout's V3.0 which contains Android4.0.4+Sense3.6
flashed the same add-on and my phone can't boot anymore, guess it might be compatibility issues
So...is there anything that can improve the phone speaker volume while running ICS?
I tried DSP Manager, headset effects are great, but for phone speakers...well...
I wouldn't post this thread if it works...
If there's anything out there that can help to improve phone speaker volumes
Let me know! I need it desperately:crying:
does anyone has any info on this?
I also look for the solution to improve loudspeaker sound issue.
It's quite small in call hand-free and ringtones that make many lost calls when walking around crowded people

Its because of cloud. There's a mod called louder jb But I didnt really see a difference when flashing it but you can try it. Just search because I don't have the thread favorited so can't link you to it
Sent from my Xperia Play (r800x)
I found a partial fix
Try it out. I think some code was lost when the drivers were ported. I used this mod from team acid the speaker is now almost where it should be

Thanks for the info
This is because of poorly optimised drivers on the Jelly Bean Rom. I'm sure the Rom Developer could fix if he put more time into it. But as other seem to suggest. You could probably download some Mods to make JB phone louder.
oh yes i notice VERY MUCH it tears me apart knowing that JB or CM roms on xperia play will never support True XLoud ( the engine that makes the external speakers loud) this makes me want to get a new phone.
if you download Cosmic Dans version of Miui v5 you will notice that he has implemented some kind of semi XLoud, its like stage 1 xloud like "when you have to plugin headphone to fix xloud on GB" im currently trying to see what it is.
I notice a distinct crackling when using my bluetooth stereo in my car with my Nitro (with the latest stable CyanogenMod ROM,) the kind you hear from a low bitrate audio file. I read that usually, this is because the bitpool of the bluetooth function is limited to 32, and should be set above 44. The few threads I read said that CM fixed this, but it doesn't appear to be working in this ROM.
Can I verify the size of the bitpool? Is there a file where I can edit it myself?

my only suggestion is to switch rom's i had nothing but problems with cm10.1 and i ran it for over 3 months, i had problems with rc's when i installed the stable release i had 3 issues within an hour, one random reboot one f/c and display problems.
in the course of the time i had about 6-7 nightlies that didn't even boot...
i'm running liquid nitro v2 with my 4.1 UI mod and i'm happier than i ever was on cm. i use pocket skip track for screen off song change, widget locker to replace stock lockscreen, i use my custom UI to fix the status bar (links on nitro tnt thread) i use power toggles for reboot menu (recovery/download) and airdroid for screenshots. apex launcher gives you jelly bean launcher options.
i run all that on v20f and i basically have all the features of cm10.1 except on a 100% stable rom that doesn't take away my ability to use MHL and 1080p recording.
use mx camera to get your HDR camera feature. if there is any i missed let me know, but frankly i don't miss CM at all, easily replaceable.
i also get far better battery life today i left for work at 7am my phone was 60% i got home at 6:30 pm it was 15% and i had some decent screen usage on breaks and during lunch etc, with cyanogenmod my phone would have died around 1-2pm
Yes, the constant resetting is getting annoying, in particular the YouTube app causes it often. so Liquid Nitro doesn't do that?
I will gladly switch to LN, if you can confirm that this bitpool problem is addressed (no need to go resetting my phone for nothing!)

i have a problem in every custom rom i tried (besides the rear camera bug):
the sound in some games is crackling. in hitman go it's only sometimes when a sound is played, in the walking dead it's really bad, there's only crackling and no real sound, it's unplayable. i messed a little with the dsp settings, but to no avail. if i plug earphones in it's the same. this appears on all of the latest nightlies and weeklies drom slimkat, cm11, infected and standard builds. again like the camera bug, it's not present in stock roms like LRS.
could someone who's running one of the latest nightlies of those roms test that please? walking dead season 1 is free to download.
thank you!

Hey mate,
I'm on 4.4.2 Commotio at the minute, its stable as heck, very fast, front back camera work. And external SD card doesn't do a runner (lol)
Their is a sound problem though sound is great for most part but now and again it buzzes for a second or so. I have told dev the problem and awaiting reply....
I have seen this problem reported about all CM/AOKP based ROMs and as far as I can tell its a CPU overload.
A kernel issue a guess...
Maybe changing governr to Interactive fixes the problem.
I love how the default (on demand) puts it in deep sleep on the home screen when you leave it.
Must be like that in most ROMs I guess.
