What's this icon for

Basically I'm confused why this won't go away and what it represents, it's the one after the bluetooth. Any idea anybody, sorry if it's an obvious answer.

It's NFC.
From the notification pull down, if you don't have it there to turn it off, select the 4 button icon in the top right, then turn off NFC there.

I have not been able to figure out this icon beside my 4G icon anyone know? As well what is up with the lte upload?

I was right there with you man. I was flipping out trying to figure out what that icon was. I had made a post on it earlier in the darthstalker thread. Too bad you didn't stumble across it earlier...

After update to kitkat network keep going off every 5 minutes , is there any way to fix ?...

Are you rooted? Are you running stock rom? Have you checked your APN settings and verified all is good? Have you tried a factory reset?

Can you tell me when looking at battery in settings does your mobile network signal show any colors other than green? Or any black at all?

Its not rooted I'm on stock , yeah I have checked apn setting its good , I did factory reset too still same problem

Yes I'm having issues as well. My text messages are delayed. My wife sent me a messages in the afternoon and I got it at 3am. That was happening on stock kitkat. Now I'm on cm11 and it is still doing it.

Ok. So your mobile signal shows sections of black also except your battery seems to be worse during those time's when mine is awesome. Assuming now because my data is off for some reason.
Is it possible because I'm using gps only in location settings, that it is not polling my network constantly to find my location causing the black spaces?
Difference between us though is you are showing signal but saying you aren't getting data, mine shows no network but I get notifications. Hmm.

Try shutting off LTE in mobile networks and just use 4g

Hidden slide menu?

I installed pie controls on my phone just to make it easier to reach buttons one handed. To activate the controls you swipe from bottom of phone up. However I went from the home button slowly upward and it pulled up a drag menu for Google search and quick menu. It looks like a stock Rom function. Can anyone else do this? If so are those apps modifiable for what you can put there?

Hi yes it a stock feature, I can do it too. Wish I knew how to edit the shortcut, would be great to put what I want there.

Use G2 tweaks box, or g2 skin tweaks. Just search for those.

Screenshot shows you are in a VoLTE area, and you have wanam xposed installed. Do you have the option to show call button in contacts enabled? If so, turn it off. Not sure it'll help but it's about all I can offer given the minimal info obtainable from a screenshot.
