I've found a modded SystemUI in XDA and i wanna try it.. so i copy it into my system/app.. then i replace the original SystemUI.. but i already backup the original SystemUI.. then the modded SystemUI didn't work..the navbar is missing.. so i restore the original SystemUI.. everything is going fine again for awhile but i dont know how and why the original SystemUI also suddenly didn't work.. the navbar is missing,i can't change the wallpaper,i can't change the ringtone.. the worse is i can't answer a call.. there are no ANSWER or REJECT.. and i accidentally delete the SystemUI..this is stupid. i try to flash a ROM but dead android with red triangle appear when i try to boot in recovery..so i can't flash.. i think, all i can do now is get the stock SystemUI and put it back in the system.. please anyone help me.. anybody have SystemUI.apk Jelly Bean 4.1.1 Galaxy Note 2 N7100 please share with me..

i can't go to recovery mode because of the dead android icon..
Just re-flash your current Rom. It should overwrite the conflicted files.

You flash Odin files to a phone in download mode.

If you can't boot to download or recovery, your phone is toast.
What sequence do you use to boot to those?
If you have the N7100 variant then you are in the wrong thread. You can simply extract the apk from the stock factory image.

Have you already requested the apk on the N7100?
If it's a bone stock device you can download the factory image and extract the apk. Or you can find someone with a 100% stock ROM available.

I recently went to a Jellybean ROM and would like to just go back to stock for the time being (rooted if possible). I've flashed the stock rooted .tar from mrobinsons thread. Get the samsung logo, the at&t animation, and then a white samsung logo that pulses blue, and a pulsing blue LED.
I've found a stock PIT file and tried to use that in ODIN with no luck. Also downloaded a stock md5 file from sammobile for this device and tried flashing that.
Whats the best way for me to get back to an AT&T ROM?
Thanks, wasn't able to find any real info as far as being stuck at this particular point in the searching/reading that I did

Hey guys, same thing happened to me. I was on JB roms and was really fed up with all the issues and i've decided to go backt o tstock. I had a reflex of going through odin as for my other Galaxy S 2, it was the way to revert back to stock. Now i'm also stuck on logo, i also just confirmed i lost CWM. So i dont know what to do...i dont have custom recoevry anymore, and i tried to flash stock unrooted rom with no success. Any suggestions?

It'll have to be stock recovery for it to even download to the phone I'm pretty sure.
Only a few options I can think of.
Get a stock VLALE6 recovery and install it.
Flash the stock FW and then update.
Or just flash the updated stock FW.
Has it already downloaded the ota?
It should be in /cache/fota/ if it has. It'll be update.zip.
If it did, I can help you get it installed as is. Make a copy of the update.zip if you can btw.

If you want you can try using Mobile Odin. Download the LE6 FW and choose to install it in Mobile Odin. You can deselect everything but recovery and flash. Then you should be able to get the ota.
You could also pull recovery.img from the FW re-tar it and flash with pc odin.

Always good to have another resource, but two things real quick...
He can't use this FW. Its for the T999 but since he's on Videotron he will almost certainly have the model T999V.
It does not say what build either the FW or the Recovery are. I'm guessing they are both the original build UVALEM, but it really should specify.
Thanks anyway man.

If you do have the T999V like I suspect, use the links I gave you a couple posts up.

Its hard to say, I rooted my phone successfully, then using Odin i tried to flash a rom using a guide i found now Im stuck with this.
I was hopeing to put lighting rom on or something "fast"
So after you rooted it did you boot it up and it worked? What kind of file was the rom that you were trying to flash using odin? You should install a custom recovery, I prefer twrp and it's very easy to install. And what is this lighting rom? Never heard of it
And what guide did you follow to flash a rom in odin?

You may need to try and use odin to put the stock firmware back on and root it again. I don't think you can flash zip files using odin. You use a custom recovery. Search YouTube on how to root your phone and install a recovery. If I understand you right, you rooted it and immediately tried to install a zip file using odin which you can't do.

If you unsure what a back up is then, personally I don't think that you should be flashing anything! Imho
Think you should do a lil research b4 you break something...
Sounds like your rooted, having CWM on there.. I prefer TWRP recovery.
But to make a back up you do it from the recovery.. And that's the first thing you should have DONE, was make a BACK up! B4 you started anything!!!

Ive made a downgrade that brings you from the 4.3 ota to 4.1.1. the downgrade works but it has the 4.3 bootloader. just flash it via odin, then set it up and then you wont have sound or signal. to get that you must flash the modem file and voila it works. if you want toot just flash chainfires root and then flash recovery via odin. i am currently using this downgrade now with working everything. credit goes to santij07 fro his helpful thread

From the threads I have been reading, NO, you can not unlock using this.
This procedure will allow you to downgrade your ROM to 4.1.1 while leaving you on the 4.3 bootloader. To unlock using the free method you must be on completely stock 4.1.1. Completely stock, including the bootloader, which would be LK3 for the i747, I believe.

Why don't you give it a try and let us know? I think as long as you installed the 4.1.1 modem, you will be able to unlock you phone.
i wasn't able to. i actually traded my s3 for a s3 running 4.1.2 and on that one i just downgraded and then succesfully unlocked that one. sadly i don't have either anymore because the one running 4.1.2 was having speaker issues. i now have a vivid and wish i wouldn't of traded lol.

I was able to downgrade from 4.3 to 4.1.1. I do have a few questions though...
1. S3ModedRom.tar: Is it for the I747 or I747m?
2. Modem file: Is it flashed through TWRP or CWM?
3. How do I go back to 4.3?
Also...for those wondering if you can FREE UNLOCK: NO. I get only a blank service menu
Input on the above questions will be greatly appreciated. Especially the 3rd question
