Hi! I just bought a HOX from china with 4.0.4 android. I'm having problems to upgrade the version of android. After searching for a solution this is what i find out. It's a Endevaur model, CID: 11111111, S-off, HBOOT 1.12. Compilation 2.17.401.2 CL89015.
I try via OTA but in the middle of the instalation the upgrade stop and a cell phone icon with a exclamation point appears, after a few minutes the cell reboots and no changes had been made. I try this upgrade with CID 111111111 and with CID changed to HTC__01, same result for boths.
I also try RUU installation but its the same thing, after a few minutes the installation stops and says that error "159" occurs and the installation was impossible to made.
Please someone help me!!!! I apologize for my english, it's not my first language.
Change the CID to HTC_001 and try again, ps, are you using a prototype device?

Right now i'm charging the cell, but i will try to flash the firmware as soon as possible, but can you tell me the difference of flashing the one you pass me and the 3.18? THX!!!

You're very welcome.
You mention you have S-OFF, right? If so flash a recovery (I recommend Philz CWM, fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) and put a Rom onto your sd card (I recommend Android Revolution as it's probably as stable and fast as a Rom gets)

So yeah ... Hi
Yesterday evening I decided that I was sick of HTC Sense and wanted to unlock my bootloader, root my HTC One X and install cyanogenmod.
When I got, what appeared to be a bootloop, I panicked and did something really stupid. I kinda decided that it was a good idea to go into my ClockworkMod Recovery and formatted everything, including data and system.
Now I can't do anything with my phone of course. Also there appears to be no way to access the SD card inside and I can't take it out.
I have no recoveries or backup's and my laptop does not detect my phone at all.
Please help me, I would like to get my phone fixed as soon as possible.
Thanks in advance
If you have the latest version of Clockworkmod just go to 'mounts and storage' and mount usb storage. Afterwards, copy your ROM zip onto the sdcard

You need to look in the search for one x one click tool (there are others) and use that. There will be instructions on the thread though it's pretty self explanatory. Don't panic your phone will be fine but I'd turn it off as you read or you will cause yourself more hassle. Im typing this as I walk so can't be more helpful.

Download this recovery
http://db.tt/Krlm4dPs
Rename it to recovery.img and copy it to the fastboot folder on the pc, now put the phone in fastboot usb mode (hold power and volume down button until it restarts into the bootloader)
Flash it with fastboot
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Fastboot erase cache
Then enter recovery and mount the sdcard as usb drive and copy the Rom.zip over. Boot back into bootloader with this command
Adb reboot bootloader
Flash the boot.img from the rom.zip from fastboot (copy it from the rom.zip to the fastboot folder on pc, just like the recovery)
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Enter recovery and do a full wipe and install the rom.zip from the menu "install zip from sdcard"
Should do it !
Ok, thanks for all the great info guys. Because of you I am now able to connect my phone to my pc however I installed cyanogenmod 10 and somehow it flashed the boot.img and it still does not boot. The only thing I get to see is the HTC screen and that is what it stays on. Does anyone have any more tips to solve this and let me boot into my cyanogenmod?

That only applies to Sense ROMs.
On CM10 and some other AOSP roms it's the other way around: they only run on older hboots and updating hboot results in bootloop.
It can be fixed though, but we need his hboot version.

Like I said, it can be fixed. You only have to flash a kernel which is modified to work with newer hboots. It is is post 9308 in CM10 thread. And fyi: GPS is not functional on this kernel.

dw man happens to us all :good:
anway i think you need help from some experts and in right section i did a similar thing last month except managed to have a custom recovery and unlocked bootloader
I recon your best bet is to try and unlock your bootloader again have you tried reinstalling/manually installing the drivers on your computer? also does it make a sound when you plug it in? and what happens if you select hBoot?
Was you trying to return to stock when this happened?

considering your version of hboot I don't think firewater will work which means you would need to use sunshine which costs money...
You would also need to be within you system(Android) and be rooted so at the moment best thing to concentrate on is getting your device a recovery / get it to connect to a PC
If you can get your Device to show up in ADB your chances of recovering it get a lot higher

You need to use firewater s-off or if that one does not work for you sunshine s-off works but cost $25 dollars.
The issue your going to have is you can't boot at all and you said fastboot commands not working. Are you sure you have the correct fastboot and adb files in the folder your connected to?

What did you do to get your phone to this point? I need to know what you tried to do to get a better idea of how to fix it. You said the phone won't boot or go into recovery I need to figure out why so I need to know what you did.
I think your fastboot setup is wrong that's why fastboot is not working what are you typing in terminal from start to when it fails.

OK... this is what I can understand.
You relocked the bootloader for some reason then you unable to boot the phone anymore and when you try to enter recovery, it boots to bootloader again. All fastboot command doesn't work.
Now ... do you still have the unlock_code.bin with you ? You need to re unlock the bootloader then other fastboot command will work like fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and etc.

Boot to fastboot. Use this version of fastboot
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712470028
Do the following command..
Htc_fastboot oem task 28
(If any errors re-run the command)
Now use this same version of fastboot to flash your ruu.
HTC_fastboot oem rebootRUU
HTC_fastboot flash zip rom.zip
Htc

You must use an ruu that either matches or is newer. Since you are s-on you cannot flash a lower mainver

1) stop posting to multiple threads
2) look at the version displayed on your fastboot screen and download the corresponding ruu. I cannot do this for you from far far away.

Consider one thing , phone is booting but I cannot access the memory things. I can go into settings. but cannot install any app or do other things because of storage encryption.

Yeah, as you typed in msg. But I found a new way to go into OEM mode. I will try the zip mentioned in post 250 in your RUU thread. Do you think it will work??
