Check force GPU rendering in developers settings should help a bit

Yes, I'm getting lag also in some apps, as if it's struggling to load as I scroll down, even with the xda app-developers app that I'm using here.

Probably not the Note2 already plays everything perfect at stock, so why would you overclock.

Me too I was looking for a the same feature so I tried this but it's not working with me I don't know why!!!! I'm running 4.3 fully stock rooted rom.

That's what I use. It's a older YouTube app but gets the job done. Plays music after you lock the screen , as well as HD video play back.

Maybe not the best! But thanks!
But I know when it comes watching videos, I prefer to watch videos while I do other things.
If you have not already check out bs video player it allowes video play back with floating video!

Click on the Gears icon. Then the icon to change resolution. You wil need to swipe the video setting to the right as slomo option is hidden at the far left.
