He update an OTA on his 4.0.3 ICS Sense 4.0 One X. Now its in a bootloop in the HTC Logo.
Since the bootloader is locked I was wondering can i flash CWM as it is or do I have to UNLOCK BOOTLOADER?
A simple question really please have your time by answering this

i need to upgrade my HBoot version to get on a JB ROM . Since 4.0.3 is just too low
Question : What should I have in order to flash ARHD 31.3 Sense 5 JB 4.2.2?
Bump? :/

i have tried UnrEVOked 3.32.
i know someone will flame me for asking this, i expected it... if u havent noticed i been with this forum since 2007, and i do know how to use Q&A and i would not be asking a question if it was a simple matter...
unless u can point me to the right tool or guide for HBOOT-1.03.0003 with S-ON, u can save flaming to yourself
Sorry to bring you a bit of bad news... the official HTC S-OFF is a real *****! There's no patch for HBOOT-1.03.0003 out there yet and I don't know if there will ever be one. You can try writing to the guys doing Revolutionary (i.e. Alpharev and Unrevoked) and see if they plan on patching this new HBOOT version.

Yeah, if he has one. IIRC goldcard was only an instrument in rooting branded phones? The error code would mention incorrect CID or something like that.
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
Goldcard didnt work, it says somthing like no image or wrong image after a bar on right hand side goes up....
also quick question is Reversing CID from CMD is just like 12a456 to 654a21 or is it something else, coz http://hexrev.soaa.me/ gives me some other result.
aka my CID from cmd is
1e41425553442xxxx0058003fd00a5f6 so reverse shuld be
6f5a00df3008500xxxx24435552414e1
and then replace first too with 00
but that site gives me 00a500fd038005xxxx2044535542411e
im a litttle confused :s
and just to be clear i now have UNlocked Bootloader (officeal by HTC) what tools are compatible with that for me to be able to flash ?

SOLUTION to Custom Roms on 1.03.003 Unlocked Bootloader (official by HTC)

Hi there!
Info about my wildfire s:
Virgin mobile Canada
Marvel PVT Ship S-On RL
Hboot-0.90.0000
Microp-0451
Radio-7.53.39.03M
Android 2.3.5
Guess that's the last resort before i totally give up on that phone.
Here's my situation:
can't seem to unlock my bootloader using Htcdev method whatsoever.
When i type fastboot oem get_identifier_token, i always get:
(Bootloader) [ERR] Command error !!!
From what i have heard and guessed, it means my Hboot is not up-to-date.
(I was stock 2.3.3 btw)
Tried to flash some roms from the "Shipped Marvel roms collection" thread, and i get all sort of errors during the update, basically that the rom is older than mine.
I then resorted to that thread:
"[HBOOT] HBOOT update for EU users who's having problem with RUU":
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432474
It worked...except it only updated the radio, not the Hboot... for the hboot part is only says "bypass", and then offer me to reboot the phone.
I also created a goldcard at some point.
While i can see its virtues, It did absolutely nothing for me.
Of course, i've been reading a lot of threads with problems simillar to mine, but didn't get any working solution out of it.
Here i am, and i sincerely hope someone can help me, because it's one good little phone, i like it, but we all know a device you can't root is a device you can't do much with, sadly.
Thanks a lot for the help!
You have not updated your bootloader to either 1.08.0099 or 1.09.0099 which are HTCdev unlockable.

I know that already.
My problem is exactly that: managing to update my hboot.
have you tried simons wildfire s utility v2 to do the BL-Unlocking? doesn't need htcdev i think...give it a try

have you tried to take the hboot from a htcdev ruu, making a pg**img.zip with it inside and an androidinfo.txt and boot to bootloader to see if it will update? i cannot see why it wont, it shouldnt affect your rom (which will be carrier related) and IS htc signed. you might just get away from with ^^ after that, if it works use simonsimons unlock tool
Thanks Gloris and Heavy_Metal_Man, i'll try both, see how it turns out and report the results.
Didn't work.
To hell with this phone, i've been wasting to much time on this, that's the first time i have so much trouble unlocking/rooting a phone.
I'm done with HTC i believe, that locked bootloader really is a cheap shot from them.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the help, guys.
Hello everyone
I'm new and I read a lot of info in the forum after adding this thread. I just want to make sure what to do, please. Don't want a bricked phone
I recently bought a HOX Quad tegra 32gb from China by mail, comes with local chinese system.
After checking the rooting I was trying without success to install a sense based rom, like ordroidx and viperx. Can't boot after the installation. Even with fastboot boot.img command.
Finally the CM10 Rom could boot the device, but I want to get the apps based in the sense framework.
My guess is that the problem is with the hboot version.
So I tried to update Hboot from the version I have 0.43.0000 with JBFWTOOL21 and it stops sending me to this page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1543604
and telling me to download a RUU to be able to update my Hboot
Also tells that my device-main software is 1.29.401.11
The link doesn't work and I'm worried about choosing a ruu that ruins my phone.
Please give and advice.
This is the info from Hboot screen:
ENDEAVORU XE SHIP S-OFF RL
CID -HTC_621 (before it was 11111111, but JBFWTOOL21 change it when I tried to update hboot)

Please help.

Man, you scare me! I hope Mr Hofs can help me.
So far I'm downloading a RUU from androidfiles dot org
I was thinking that the last one in the list could work:
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260491_signed.exe
Do you think that is better to remain with a CM10 ROM? Could my phone be bricked if I install that RUU?
Anyone?

Hi everybody. I have i serious problem with my One x. I need to get s-off but I can not.I have already installed custom rom.recovery.unlock the bootloader. but still s-on and I need s-off but how ? thank you.
Firstly, do you have the HTC One X (Endeavor) or the HTC One XL / at&t One X (Evita)?
Secondly, you need to provide way more information than that. Why can't you get s-off? What have you tried? What happened when you tried? What ROM is installed? What are your bootloader details? Which recovery is installed? You need to answer all questions, be as detailed and specific as possible, and provide any other information that might be relevant.

Unfortunately you're in the wrong section, this is the HTC One XL / at&t One X (Evita) section, they're different phones. Standby, I'll ask for a mod to move this to the HTC One X (Endeavor) section for you so that the people who own your device can help you.

Yes they will S-OFF your phone with signed java card. Yes if your phone is S-OFF you can put what you want for CID most of the S-OFF phone are with default one 11111111.
Why you need S-OFF? YOU can't use all the advantage of S-OFF We have few developers and they work to give as KitKat and now Lolipop what more you want you have multiRom wich give you the posibility to have more then one rom you have kernel flasher wich give posipility to install roms and kernels without PC, why you need S-OFF?
