I need help. I overclocked GPU to around 485 MHZ for apps and games I use mostly using Faux123 Kernel Enhancement Pro app. Shortly after, my LG Optimus G got overheated and turned of. Now it wont get past LG screen. When I connect it via USB or wall outlet the LED notification light just blinks nonstop and screen stays completely off. I can only get screen to display Download Mode by holding down up + down buttons when connecting via USB. Am I soft-bricked or hard-bricked? Any fix?

Sounds soft, since its doing stuff. I would restore it with lgnpst and quit messing with overclocks.

Nah. It usually just clears the system. If you have a custom recovery you can use sideload to transfer shiz. Or you can
use recovery to reflash the rom without deleting anything.
Jump on the irc if you need any more help.

I tried this with the stock JB with Xperia Z extras and after trying to run Antutu, the phone shut off and wouldn't restart. I'm in the process of LGNPSTing back to stock.
Update: LGNPST doesn't seem to be working; after the 67% and 85% progress, normally the phone would bootloop and then a factory reset would be performed (as suggested here -> http://pastebin.com/hwQE66Wi). This time, however, the phone would just stay off after being unplugged and would not boot into any mode at all....i am currently attempting to KDZ to JB.

ok, so what happened was while (after?) KDZing, the phone would bootloop while still plugged into computer. After unplugging, the phone wouldn't respond to anything; no boot, recovery, or even factory reset. So I then tried to factory reset while plugged into computer and it did give me the prompt and I went ahead with it...but the factory reset sequence never happened, i.e. no android pic, and the phone would continue to bootloop. I then plugged the phone into an outlet and the power button allowed the phone to boot up, but as soon as I unplugged it, the phone would shutdown again. But upon second boot up, which actually still required the phone to be charging via outlet, it seemed to be fine as I was able to unplug the phone and the phone remained on (battery was about 85% so the sudden shutdown from earlier made no sense). Anyways, I have factory reset the phone and all seems well...for now. *knock on wood*

Can't tell 100% since the maker havn't pushed any source, but since it's made for AT&T phone, i suppose only the red led will work.

I can't guarantee what will n what will not work. This kernel was dedighned for the at&t lgog. The e970. The lgog line of phones r fragmented. Some have multi color led others don't. At&t got a 8mp camera while some of you got 13mp. There gsm phones n cdma phones. The list goes on.

I've tried SK8's kernel before and I'm aware that the kernels are interchangeable minus the LED notification. But this is the only phone that I really don't care about OCing at the moment.

Oc is an option. You dont have to over clock. Personally I under clock n disable cores. There's more to the kernel then over clocking.

True but I have been following your original thread since you released initially. I'll wait till it's a little more mature. We need more collaboration for stock based kernels.
Hopefully you can figure out the random SOD issue!

Only red LED, no green LED. Missing that green LED notification light...
Actually, the notification light doesn't even come on at the moment unless it's charging, so it gets to blink red.
Not sure if this was caused by kernel, but under battery use it says that system UI has higher usage than screen
Is there a way to turn fast charge on?

I am having troubles booting my phone after the battery depletes and the phone shuts off. My Optimus G is rooted with lifeless Rom v14 and I have TWRP recovery.
So once the phone dies, I plug it in to charge, and the phone screen automaticaly comes on and the LG logo flashes for a second, but nothing happens. The phone doesn't actually charge. If I remove the phone from the charger, the display still stays on until I hard reset it. I cannot access recovery mode or download mode for some reason. Usually when my phone dies, and I plug it in, it will flash the LG logo, keep the display on for a few seconds, and then shut down and restart and show the battery logo charging. I am not getting that this time, and I can't seem to do anything to get it operating again. There also isn't a red LED light to represent charging either. If anyone has had this issue before or knows how to fix it, I'd really appreciate the information right now.
Thanks

That actually just happened to me too
All I did was unplug the phone, hold the power button until the screen turns off, and power up the phone. I do think the phone may need to plugged in for a bit after it does before it will boot. Hope you find a solution.

I had to use LGNPST and teenybin to get anywhere. I got the program all setup and after trial and error, I fixed the problem, only to be found with another problem. Now my phone doesn't seem to want to charge. It will go to the charging screen and everything, but the red pulsing LED isn't on like it used to be, and it doesn't seem like it really is charging. on TWRP, the battery percentage doesn't even show, except until recently it started showing, and then it disapears because it has no power. Any help?!

Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds and that should get your phone completely powered off without turning itself back on. From there you can use LGNPST back to stock.

If you're stuck at the 4glte screen: To get to stock recovery - Power off phone. You need to hold power button for about 20 sec to get it to turn off. Then press and hold vol down+power - The LG logo will come on, then the capacitive lights. Immediatly let go when the capacitive lights turn on.
It takes a few seconds to work. Data wipe/Factory reset. Reboot.

I've been having some troubles with my Optimus g. For starters, today it's been awfully laggy. On top of that its been freezing and booting into a yellow HW error screen. And when it's been freezing it sometimes just makes the screen freak out and get all scan lined. Now my phone won't boot. It appears it won't even charge. I have it plugged in and it does nothing. The most I can make it do right now is if I hold the power button while its plugged in, after about 20 seconds the red led will start flashing. Doesn't do anything past that. Is there any thing I can do to save this phone??

Hello,
I badly need your help guys. My sister accidentally uninstalled an important file on my LG E975 and now, its not booting up. I'm getting a Security Error.
I looked for a solution and found out about KDZ method. I was told to charge my battery first but when tried, it seemed not charging. What should I do? Thanks..
It should charge... Aren't you getting the charging screen ? (when your phone is off and you connect it to the charger, it doesn't boot, there's a different screen), don't you have it?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, Im not getting the charging screen. After turning off the phone and connect it to the charger, what happen is. It automatically turns on, flashes the LG logo, then it shows Security Error with LG Logo, then it goes the same thing over and over again..
I don't really know a solution but I would leave it like that for like 2-3 hours and then flash the kdz..
