I'm rocking the NuSense ROM on my Verizon HTC One and love it but there's just one thing I'd like to change. Is there anyway to disable the volume wake mod that is baked into the ROM? I'd like to be able to skip songs by just long pressing the volume button and with the mod the screen wakes.

I've been a long time user of alarm clock plus but since getting the nexus I am concerned about the screen saver not hiding the soft buttons and causing burn in.
Does anyone know of a good screen saver with a clock that hides the buttons?

You can email the dev and ask him to incorporate soft key hiding

Personally I just use the stock clock app and if you press and hold the screen it will turn off the soft keys and dim the screen into alarm clock mode.

It's funny how Google is all "we want to try to do away with non-intuitive things like long-pressing" but then implements something like this. Thanks for the tip!

When I do this I still have the three dots. Is this just an AOKP thing?
When soft keys disappear, they keep the 3 dots on many things.
They finally updated alarm clock plus and dim the dots even more than the stock clock app. Woot! All is well in the world again. The stock clock wasn't horrible though as a fallback.

Sorry for the tiny bump guys.

I do this too, but it still shows the three dots at the bottom - won't these cause burn in on the screen? Seems a big strange that Google didn't fully hide them on this (like they do on video apps).
First guy to write the clock app with no soft keys or dots is gonna sell some copies lol.

I've been using this mod on a touchwiz based rom and it's amazing. Search Key goes right into recent apps.
I just switched back to AOKP and although the mod works, it is very strange. It brings up the gingerbread style recent apps rather than the switcher that holding home key brings up.
Does anyone have touchkey.kl files for this mod on an aosp rom? I'd be much obliged. I was spoiled by the mod and hate the delay when holding the home key.
Thanks

If you are using the STOCK rom then it's not easy to change the action of the long press home button.
But by flashing many of these custom roms available here in this Tmobile S3 forum you will find many
custom roms which have options and features which allow you to change the action of the home button.
nova launcher or other launchers is a way too.
i mean how can i change the action when i hold the menu button to CLOSE an app.
im on wicked rom
You should be more specific than, look in the mods list of stuff around the forums. Might be available in the rom already. Did you look in the OP and see if it is an option? I don't see why it wouldn't be. Search in the thread, you have enough post to ask there and get chewed out instead of asking such a vague question in a whole new thread...
i'm using Carbon ROM for my n7100,
i frequently taking screenshots and i'm bored with "hold power button tap screenshot" thing. i tried to change that in the settings of carbon but only regular things can assign like recent apps or search assistant. i want to assign a key or holding a key make screenshots. how can i do this?

You can do both with the GravityBox module, which is used along with the XPosed Framework.
And a note about the Quick Settings...you can touch and hold the switches to toggle vs touching and going into the Settings every time.

If you're happy with you're ROM, and it's AOSP of CAF, then try ElementalX kernel. It has a lot of options and will allow you a large choice of ROM's. Make sure to install the proper one.
