A friend of mine has an i9192 S4 mini dual sim, but broke on of the sim slots. I want to replace the simslot, but on eBay and other sites i can only find the single sim + micro sd slot.

Hi, in that shop they do only have a new tray for the 9190/5
But i think you can send them a mail and ask for your Duos.
They may get tha part for you.

[Q] Micro SIM on HTC One V

Does anyone have luck using microSIM to Standard SIM converter in the One V?
Yes, it works same as the standard one, no difference except the size of the sim card, I'm using it with an adaptor

Great Thanks! I was going to grab an adapter on way home today to test with my iPhone 4 Micro Card. Hopefully no issues will be seen! I saw in another thread that the size of SIM mem might be an issue. I will report back here one way or another after I try this out.

Wrong! It can be S-OFF-ed!
Send it to the Center in Moskau or smth like this and pay 70€ , then you have a S-OFF-ed One X
Or with a Javacard.

I think they mean is there is no way to do it at home, with nothing but a computer and a USB cable.

And maybe you get it back...maybe not.
The only way of getting S-OFF Is by using a HTC ONE X model specific diag file and ONLY HTC has these files, and they cannot be leaked.
Even with a javacard you cannot do it at home since that card needs to have htc's digital signature in order for the bootloder to recolonize its diag file as usable

Ok but just remeber to S-OFF it using revone BEFORE you update to 4.2.2 or it wont work

Any chance of seeing Dual SIM Dual Standby adapter in the near future ?

I asked this question to Magic SIM and they told me it will be available in about a year.
This was about 8 months back.
Any update on this would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Try a SIM card that contains EF MSISDN, I guess this is where it's read from.

He probably means unlocked. But as @Bryan48765 said, maybe the carrier didn't program the sim card to display your phone number, it shouldn't have any adverse effects.
unbranded is not bought by an provider like t-mobile that adds an extra layer of software on the phone.
