[Q] Update all except...

So there are some apps that I really don't want to update for various reasons, and it's preventing me from doing any bulk updating. I don't like auto-updates because I like to check what is new in an update before I actually update (some app developers can make an app totally useless by updating). The problem is, there's no way to set some apps to "never update", and when unupdated apps build up, I want to use "Update All", but exempt a subset of them.
Does anyone know if there's a way to opt out certain apps from updating? Rooted, using Wicked v5.1, so rooted solutions or flashable zips work fine too.
Use Titanium backup to detach those apps from Play Store.

Go to the app which you dont want auto-updating in Play Store, press menu, uncheck the auto-update box for that app.

Bloatware on canvas A1

I have a question regarding pre installed bloatware in the phone.
I have disabled
sales track
Mlive
Hike and
Askme without any problems.
About other apps I do use Amazon but can't update it from play store is there a way to remove this and install the version from play store.
Also what are these apps and are they safe to remove
1) market feedback agent
2) partner launcher custom
3) locationem2
4) fused location
5) sun beam
Also since I use hangouts as default for SMS is removing Messaging safe

I might keep sales track because it can help for receiving the system updates? I am not sure though.

Not Enough Memory

Every time one of my apps has an update it will not install.i get the message saying Not Enough Memory, please remove some apps you do not use, this app is on my SD Card which has 85gbs of free space, how do I get this app to update,it is Sky Safari Pro by the way,it is 1.6 gbs,so its a big app. my internal storage seems to be clogged up with Google apps and Hancom office stuff, that I never use.Thank You. longlegs
the device still need to use the internal memory as a temporary space before it completely installing the apps. that's why it show that particular error. you can disable some of the apps that you dont need. most of those google apps can be disable. hancom can also be disable.
edan1979 thank you.i disabled Google Film and TV which seemed to use the most internal memory, more than a gb,i then updated my app then enabled Google Film and TV again, everything is working okay.thanks again.longlegs
Another really great app for disabling bloatware is Package Disabler Pro+. I disabled about 90% of the samsung garbage you just have to remember to enable everything before an update from Android.

If you want more storage use adoptable storage.

App locker

I've been using oneplus phones for the last few years, and I love their integration with app locker.
Does our note 10+ has such feature?
I know there're lots of app lockers on Google play, but most of them aren't integrated seamlessly, they are just showing a layer on top of the app that you're trying to open, and can be easily removed.
Or is there a launcher that integrates well and have such feature?
I tried Poco launcher, but you can't individually lock an app, they are just hidden.
Suggestions?
No personal experience with App Locker, but maybe you can try using the Secure Folder integrated into Samsung phones? I think you can put a copy of apps in there that works separate from the 'public' copy.

Yeah i tried that, but i don't really want to create two copies of my protected apps. just a simple lock request before the app is openned
anyone?
Secure folder is one of the most useful features with a samsung device, and withe size of the internal memory, I dont see what may be your concern

Try this app ( search for more such apps. on the Play store ) -

I use Bitdefender anti virus, it allows apps to be locked.

Just tried bitdefender, it's not as good as there's a lag when u open an app before the protection layer is shown.
Is there one where it opens the security layer first before opening the app?

Bloatware remover for oneplus nord Oos 11

I used this apps it's really capable of uninstalling the bloatware on Android 11 Oos. I am not the developer of this apps, just sharing it. But be careful while uninstalling the bloatware apps. You end up in bootloop if you delete the essential system apps. So, be careful while uninstalling the system app, I myself and the developers are not liable in anyway if you brick your phone or any damage caused to your device.

I don't know if this really works, system partition is protected from any tampering. Deactivating shouldn't be a problem, but i don't think it will really remove it, otherwise Android wouldn't boot

Yes, I don't know how this apps works but it really does it's job. Unlike magisk module debloater, apps doesn't restores after uninstalling this apps.
Is gboard from Google removable or OnePlus Games without root?
I guess the Google app's contacts, agenda and Google drives aren't removable without breaking those functions in Android?

You need to root your device to remove it.
Confirmed working with root
When I root my device bank-app's for paying don't work anymore and that's what I really need as the most used apps on my Android mobile.
Now I've 5 or 6 apps that I don't update but those apps stay in the list of updates for apps. That is very annoying. Isn't there a way to hide those apps?

You can simply disable in apps options. And you don't even need to root for ir.
I did shut them down and set them off, but the gboard and gamespace app's stay in the list for updates.
Gmail can be set completely off (and even deleted) and don't show up for update.
Just as Contacts and Agenda from Google, but when you set those completely off, Outlook don't work anymore and it's not possible to set a new contact or appointment in the phone or Outlook-app.
Outlook or the Android system give an error like: no native app installed?
Yeah great!?
