The Official version originally posted in the Original Dev section could not make outgoing calls. It would disconnect the network.
That bug is resolved here and the base updated to LiquidSmooth 2.12.

I see. Thanks for clarifying. Does this rom still have the same problem as cyanogenmod where the speakerphone mic doesn't work sometimes? On CM people would complain that they couldn't hear me.

Not that I have noticed or been told.
If it does, let me know.
I may be able to resolve that by removing Noise Suppression, if that's the case.
HTC kind of screwed that up...I was able to fix it on Sense.

I can't restore my titanium backup backups. I've had this problem on other aosp roms before but I don't remember how I solved it. Any advice?
Edit: I fixed this by doing two things:
1. Went into settings-> development and changed root access from only "apps" to "apps and ADB"
#1 didn't fix it for me so I...
2. Installed superSU

Strange, seems the built in Superuser should work just as well.
Maybe it failed to prompt for root access upon opening Titanium Backup and therefore wouldn't proceed.
Regardless, glad you got it resolved with SuperSu.
I will check that out, next chance I get though.
Hope it's working well for you otherwise.

I did grant it superuser with the builtin superuser app. Everything else is working just great (even speakerphone!!). Right now I am trying to install the 4.4 apps but it doesn't allow me to install "prebuiltgmscore.apk" so I am kind of stuck.

Running great so far santod.
One question - Is there any way to enable Logo2Wake under the advanced menu? All options for me are greyed out.

Not with my current cm based kernel, no.
I may have one cooked up with it soon though...
You might be able to use the one from Vanir I believe it is that has it, but I don't know that that kernel will work for sure with this rom.
I haven't found a problem with this ROM. Just great. Thank you dev.

I tried taking a video ... the sound level wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible... I am not sure if it was as low as it is on cm.
Also, I've been running this rom the whole day and it is great. Its been a while since I've ran an aosp rom and I don't think I've seen another one run this well on our phone before (including cm). Thanks for porting this santod.
One last thing - is there volume wake on this rom?

Thanks man, I am very glad to hear that someone is enjoying it.
I felt it was really solid, which is why I thought I'd go ahead and share it.
Your feedback is very much appreciated.
I really thought there was volume wake, but I just looked through it all again and did not see it.
I'll see about getting that added in, and in the meantime maybe tossing a zip up to enable it.

HOW TO INSTALL
1) First copy ROM to internal storage
2) copy Gapps to internal storage
3) Make sure you have a kernel with CWM or TWRP recovery. (if not, then flash a CM kernel using fastboot flash boot boot.img)
4) Immediately boot into recovery.
5) I always wipe data and cache to be safe
6) Flash ROM and GAPPS as you do with normal CM
7) Recovery solution link thanks to @abbychauhan
8) Enjoy
Issues
Recovery seems broken on this kernel, so to flash another version, you will have to reflash a custom boot.img in order to gain recovery.
Root appears to be broken
Camera is broken
Mic (maybe broken?) edit: yes it is broken. Waiting for the CM source kings to work their magic
Everything else seems to be working well!
Warning!
This is a test version so please don't expect things to be working properly!

Booted just fine with Fire-Ice kernel and 64bit ARM Gapps from lollipopolooza thread (took about 10 minutes to get to welcome screen so be patient).
It's snappy and solid. Only issues I could find are listed in post 3.
Edit: contacts, vibrate on touch, and ambient fixed in 1/9 build

Flash went fine with TWRP 2.8.3 recovery. However, upon booting I got System UI force closing maybe because I have encryption forced?
I flashed both stock and fauxkernel and gapps in other rom but no go. System UI fc'ing loop prevented me to enter my passcode to decrypt the /data partition.
Cheers another new ROM!
Nice. I'll test the rom later today = )
I use this on my N6 and love every minute of it....
I found a workaround for the white on white Contacts problem.
Download https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95832962473400203 and extract the Contacts.apk.
Rename existing system/priv-app/Contacts.apk to Contacts.bak and inject the one above, set perms to rw-r-r and reboot.

That's what I used and things are up and running decrypted with no UI FC's.
Hey, love that some of the big time AOSP ROMs are making it to this device.
What is the battery life like on this ROM? At stock, I can get a good 4-5 hours of battery life with heavy use (web browsing, gaming, etc).
Also, weird off topic question, which model of the N9 is flounder, and which is volantis? I have the 32gb wi-fi only version, which is it?

Ok i know this is odd
flounder / volantis = wifi only
flounderlte? / volantisg = LTE

thanks. my big question is do I have a founder or a volantis? since they're both the wifi only model, does it matter? if I have a volantis and flash this flounder rom, will it cause me problems?
i have the 32gb wifi only version in black, and it was one of the first models released, if that helps.

Battery - too early to tell. ROM just came out. But if it helps: I had about 95% yesterday when I flashed LS, had about 3 hours of SoT and casted to Chromecast for a few hours and still had 30% left this morning
Flounder/Volantis - short answer. They are the same thing. They are both names for the wifi only version. volantis is the google factory image name, flounder is the rom dev's name
Love it

Thanks for the find on the contacts.apk. It works great. I used the fire & ice kernel also; Except for other items shown in post 3, everything is working. Great job op and LS team.

I also had the same issue. I've gone back to stock, rerooted, and it still came back. I'm going to try swapping out all of the variables, kernel, gapps etc. and will report back.

Hello friends! I bring another ROM. This one has more features than Paranoid Android right now and is a heck of a looker I have included E980Kernel+ due to using the same kernel in PA's build (modified only to build)
Happy flashing! :good:

On Liquidsmooth community they said that they will use RRO and remove CM theme engine.
Anyway thanks for the hard work!

Just read about RRO. Sounds fancy, will see if it lives up to expectations Poor CM, ported all of that code just to realize a new theming engine is about.
Although it is Sony's code, and I do not like Sony. Hopefully it'll be as good as Cyanogenmod's. If not we can always go back to CM
Thanks for the information friend!

F240 kernel should take care of that.
How does this compare to CM12 and Blisspop?
Great ROM from what I see! Only one bug problem, when I get everything set up I always ALWAYS wipe Google framework cache and data, reboot, wipe cache and dalvik, fix permissions, but after I fix permissions, phone wont boot anymore, just the boot ani, doesn't even go back to bootloader just keeps going like it really wants to but won't, I let it sit for 30 minutes last night.
@Snepsts thanks a lot for bringing such nice rom to us. One more, by the way.
Will test it soon.
@Snepsts, mate, do you know any F240 Kernel that is compatible with LS?

Never used Blisspop. It's pretty smooth though. I'm having issues with Google but the lack of an xposed doesn't allow me to address it like I used to. It's a little more feature filled than CM12 but it does not have the CM12 theme engine anymore as they are favoring the new theme engine included in Android. (More secure)
I'm enjoying it :highfive:
No deep sleep.
Just tried the Rom Now. Bluetooth and others work well, But my mobile is not getting into deep sleep at all.
Tried the Beta Kernal by snepsts also...
How to fix permissions without recovery then?
is this rom working on f204L

Well recover will always try to "fix permissions" for me but I never let it do that as it screws with my SU binaries. You should just update SU directly and let TWRP/CWM deal with it at least that's how I do it.

I always flash the modem after installing ROM, reboot the phone, let is do it's thing for a few mins and settle then I will go ahead and flash again from recovery a second time to get deep sleep. Deep sleep does work, have to flash this modem to get best results.

Welcome to VanirAOSP.
Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
minor UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound

Tried the February 6 official build, seems great. But seems to be lacking a few features, e.g. an ability to display the date in the status bar. Other than that, it's been a smooth ride so far.
Just a question, is it possible to flash an unofficial build over an official build, or an official build over an unofficial build when updating?

Running the unofficial February 7 build, very nice. Buttery smooth performance. Not sure why this thread is going unnoticed.
Bugs:
1. The keyboard randomly stops accepting input, but starts working fine again after locking and unlocking the phone. Happens a few times every day.
2. Proximity sensor does not turn off screen during calls.
3. Sometimes the person on the other end can't hear me when I make an outgoing call, but it seems to work fine when I call them again.
Feature Requests:
1. Colour calibration options in kernel
2. Option to display date in status bar
3. Dark Material theme

Could you please add screen controls from this link to your kernel :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/dev-kcal-advanced-color-control-t3032080
It enables saturation, contrast and gamma controls and other advanced things such as grayscale mode.
Kindly implement it in your rom/kernel ASAP ! I was really looking forward to this feature !
