I rooted and used freegee to put cwm on. I tried to flash a rom but on boot it says com. android phone has stopped. I click Ok but it reappears instantly. Occasionally it also says nfc has stopped. I need all the help you guys can offer. Thanks!!!
Turn off your phone. Boot into cwm and do a restore of your backup. This seems to be a problem with the ROM, can you link to it?

It says no files for the back up. Basically I'm screwed? It was the Canadian cm10.2
use kdz updater to return to stock. or make a total wipe, push rom and gapps via adb and reinstall the custom rom again.

I've tried to return to stock using kdz but I click flash and 2 lines of code appear saying it started. How long should it take to flash? Right now I'm just trying to side load a stock variation. I'm just new to adb and flashing on computers.

That is because u have installed wrong baseband on your phone. Recover your previos stock rom and copy modem.img from it, you can find many HOW TO here on this forum. Only after that flash new ROM, copy your original EFS and modem into it.
Wrong rom or wrong kernel probably due to wrong rom. Try the above or flash a kernel appropriate for your Android version.

So I was trying to flash a rom today and ended up soft bricking because the file was bad. Didn't get the chance to flash the new rom and already wiped data. The backup I did was also not working and I didn't have another rom to flash.
Now I am stuck on Samsung boot logo but I could still access download mode and CWM.
What should I do to fix this? Should I just flash to stock firmware and that would fix the issue? Or is there an easier way?
Basically I just need to push the new downloaded rom into sdcard but how do I do that when my phone wont even boot?

If you're reasonably competent with adb, you could also boot into recovery and upload a different ROM file to your phone with it.

New question, sorry for being such a noob. I tried rooting using GS3 Snapdragon Toolkit to root but the problem now is that when after it reboots, the screen is black and there is only flashing blue LED. What am I doing wrong?

Did you try to use the toolkit with a Jelly Bean stock? It explicitly can't do that.
Since you're using Odin anyway, you might try one of the pre-rooted stock images from this thread.

Do you have a link for that ZIP? I'm running into a similar problem after flashing CM10.2 and can't flash a TW Rom on my S4.
Thanks!
10.2 sucks
the same thing happened to me, but i am using the stock firmware and using a tutorioal on how to unroot unbrick note 2 i hope that brings my phone to normal. and then refalsh and load jedi x 17. ALSO AT ONE POINT I DONT KNOW WHAT I DID WRONG BUT THE PLAY STORE WANTS INCLUDE IN THE 10.2 ROM THAT I INSTALL AND THE WEB PLAY STORE WOULD RECOGNIZE MY DEVICE AS NEXUS 7, BUT IT IS A NOTE 2. THAT WAS WEIRD.

First page look for restore sd-downgrade.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2105917
downgrade.zip will NOT do ANYTHING to help your issue; all it does it change the files system back to the way it is in 4.12
something else is wrong, but you have to post more info; what rom you flashed, what recovery/version you are on, what the error message/code is when you try to flash, etc...

Thanks even more for letting me know that this won't do the trick. I should start by reiterating that I have a S4 on Sprint and not a Note 2 on AT&T, so I before I get flamed for being in the wrong forum, just wanted to check if I should go further on what I'm running and the "error" I'm experiencing to see if you can help. I'd really appreciate it if you could but don't want to break any rules ...
its not so much about breaking the rules, as it is about giving you advice that could harm your device, since its not the same as this threads'
I would take it to the s4 threads, just to be sure
good luck
So still no luck with this for me. Someone please help. I can only flash non touchwiz ROMs. I am running pacman nightly 4.3 9-7-13 version. I just flashed devil kernel to see if it would fix the issue. No luck but definetly a nice kernel. I try to flash jedix17 16 and even a nandroid I had from 16 no luck. Tried several other tw ROMs but it just gets stuck on bootloop. Hellllllllllp I like pacman but I was flashing roms everyday and I'm going nuts. I brick my gs3 backup phone so I have to be very careful now with only one phone. Advice?????

Okay. ....do you show correct IMEI Number ?
And do you have data ?
If yes. ..then let's try this. ..(deep breath)..(make a backup)...then the following:
First. ...boot to recovery and wipe data, caches, and internal storage. ..
Basically everything without touching your external card. ..and just to be sure. .take it out and set it aside. .(make sure to unmount it in settings first !!!)
Next. .turn off the device and boot into download mode. ..(ready for Odin)
Then using only your PC...download Mr. Robinsons rooted UCAMA4 build from his thread. .. (in the development section)..
Next. ..push the image you just downloaded to the device via Odin. ..(use the PDA box...and don't change any Odin settings)...
Next. ..wait for the image to automatically boot the device once completed. ....(unplug the device)..
If the device fails to boot. ..pull the battery. ..wait 30 seconds. ..then replace it and boot into the newly flashed 3e recovery and wipe cache and data 2 times each. ..then reboot.....
If the device boots normally then move to the next step. ..and if not. ..repeat the flash process again using Odin and the rom you downloaded. ..
If after two unsuccessful flashes, and wipes using 3e recovery, and battery pulls. ..you still don't get a successful boot. ..you may have partition damage. ..in which case a repair may be needed. ..but for the sake of your phone we'll wait until the above has failed. ..
Next. ...If boot occurs using the above method. ..enter your wifi password and log into the play store and download triangle away if you want your counter reset. .
If not. ..skip the play store after entering the wifi password and move into your settings/about phone/software update. ..
Push the update button and wait for ATT to offer you the update to UCAMC3..then take it. ..
If desired you can then clear the flash counter and unroot...
Let's get that far before worrying about anything else. ..
Please record any errors or messages you get. ..especially while using Odin. ..as this tells us the device partition state. ..especially when PIT files are involved. .
Sorry for the long post. ..but it was necessary. ..I hope. .
Please post back. ...g

I rooted my international version E975 last night but because I'm a bit noob I didn't realise I also had to unlock the bootloader. So when I installed CWR I got stuck in the secure boot loop. I managed to get out of that with the KDZ loader through 'download mode' however I wasn't able to find the correct stock rom. Each time I tried to download the australia E975 rom it would fail download half way though, getting only 500mb or so.
I tried heaps of other links to the rom but they all seem to be broken. In the mean time I found another rom and loaded it without realising it was for the E973. So it's out of the boot loop, but it thinks it's an E973 now and I don't have any 3g/data access and the rear camera doesn't work.
So my question is: where can I find the stock rom for the australian version of E975? and ultimately I want to root, unlock bootloader and install the custom 4.3 rom. Do I first need to be back to 4.1.2 to do that? or can I do it from the wrong E973 rom, running 4.0.4?

Why not try the rooting procedure again on the existing Rom, unlock boot loader, install CWM and flash any custom Rom you want ?
Sent from my LG-E975 using Tapatalk 4
That would definitely solve the problem of not being able to find the stock rom, but I was concerned that most of the guides I've read state that the starting state should be 4.1.2.
I'm worried that starting with the E973 rom might cause some incompatibility during the root/unlock/freegee/rom install...

I'm not an expert, but I believe you can flash any Rom as long as you do a clean wipe, and the hardware supports it.
Edit:
Well, maybe you better wait till a real expert confirms this.

I have already rooted with Odin. And after that, all I've done is disabled knox.
I'd like to install CyanogenMod 11 on my SM-P600
I've downloaded "recovery-cm-11-20141114-UNOFFICIAL-lt03wifi.tar" and "cm-11-20141114-UNOFFICIAL-lt03wifi.zip" from (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...m-p600-cyanogenmod-11-note-10-1-2014-t2929908).
From what I've read, I need something called a "recovery" and Gapps.
Can I just use any recovery and Gapps I find on the internet? Or are there specific ones for each phone/tablet?
Thanks for your help.

Thank you. I've read that thread and I downloaded Flashify. I got TWRP 2.7.x.x and tried to flash CyanogenMod 12 but people were having trouble so I went back to Flashify and flashed TWRP 2.6.3 instead. When I hit reboot, the tablet put itself in a loop. It goes to the Samsung GALAXY NOTE 10.1 2014 Edition screen then turns off, and cycles from there.
I guess I had to unflash 2.7.x before flashing 2.6.3 or something? I probably bricked my device at this point.
I can get into Odin but I'm not sure what to do from here.
EDIT: I went to the TWRP site and downloaded 2.7.1.0 onto my PC and Odin'd my tablet with it. I'm restoring to my StockRoot backup. I don't know why Flashifying TWRP 2.6.3 softbricked my tablet and at this point I don't think I know what I'm doing.

Yes it worked, thank you for responding.
I was then able to flash CyanogenMod 12 with another attempt on TWRP 2.7.1.1
I'm having an issue with my original StockRoot backup though. When I restore to it, it tells me, "Unfortunately, com.android.keyguard has stopped" after booting. I believe this has caused my Home button and Notification Panel (drop-down menu) to stop working as they are non-responsive. It also shows me a black wallpaper. All my files seem to be fine though. I just have to press the back soft key button a couple times to get back to the home screen.
Is there a way to fix this or would I need to Odin Samsung stock and re-root?
My goal is to have a CyanogenMod 12 back-up and my Original StockRoot backup working if possible.
I just need to fix this keyguard problem then flash CyanogenMod12 with Gapps and I think I'll be set for a while.
Thanks for your help.
Looks like I'm going to need to go back to Stock and Re-Root. What's the best way of doing this?

If u got backup just restore the bootloader and u will be ok. If u dont have backup go to download mode and flash stock rom.
Or install any rom throught twrp for the 920p. Touchscreen should be working on the twrp. (Mine was working.)
