I download some images from this forum like:
Android 2.3.7 - Cyanogen Mod 7.2.0 For Galaxy GIO
but when i flash it with CWM from the forum, my phone doesn't startup. It shows first the samsung logo, then a white screen and it reverts to black.
what do i wrong?
missing something?
Do wipe in CWM. You will lose all your apps

I tried. no luck with this.
I put back my stock-rom with ODIN.
Other roms does not work on my phone. Only the stock ROM
You could try the ext4-formatting ZIP to flash from CWM or different variant (ext4-only maybe; rfs+ext4 failed me several times).
And you definitely should wipe at least cache.
Basically I'm wondering what people think the best setup for gaming is currently?
Though, i would really prefer it to be ICS.
Also, do you have to reinstall all apps every time you change rom AND/OR kernel?
Thanks
Hmm fxp 119 is cynaogen mod , better is stock + doomlord xp

ICS is buggy when it comes to gaming. I switched back to GB after using ICS for few weeks.
what about my other question?
Also, do you have to reinstall all apps every time you change rom AND/OR kernel?
for example if i installed ArcKnight Kernel V8 onto my stock + cwm kernel would i have to reinstall all
If you're upgrading your rom then the dev will advise if you need a data wipe, if you're changing rom then you need to wipe your data so all apps will be lost. You can use a backup app like titanium, which lets you save game/app data(but not automatically, you need to back up regularly) or you can move apps from /data or /system to your sd card which doesn't save data, obviously, just the apk. If you change kernel then it won't affect the app directly, though you may find audio/video discrepancies.
I've tried different settings in supercharger v6, and the "multi-task" setting makes GB very smooth for gaming
Hey is there anyway to increase internal memory without flashing or using a2sp?

Assuming your device is already rooted, you could flash a different HBOOT than stock to give you more space to install apps. Look up Alpharev on XDA.
Allright then il look it up, thanks!

importantly, don't think it's been mentioned here yet...you need to be s-off to change hboot.
@OP not sure why you seem against flashing a different rom
if you do end up flashing a different rom, as above check which hboot is suitable. many also require an ext partition on your sd card, and have a2sd scripts or similar built in.
use gparted or 4ext recovery to partition your sd. (changing to 4ext recovery also requires s-off)

@OP not sure why you seem against flashing a different rom, you have to after you flash a different hboot anyway, because stock rom does not fit on stock hboot...

Currently my set up is a SD card with a 1GB EXT 4 partition. CM7R2 Hboot with MILDWILD ROM v4 installed.

I think the most space you can get without using a2sd is to flash the dGB ROM on a custom MTD. But i wouldn't take the downsides (it's slimmed down extremely), so i just use a2sd.
If you just want to keep your stock ROM, have a look at link2sd on the market. It's pretty much a2sd, but you have to do it manually.

If you do decide to partition your SD card, I second the idea of 4ext recovery. Here's a helpful guide for partitioning with 4ext: http://bit.ly/JuIzwb.
hey guys I want to sell my Desire and buy a Galaxy Nexus, and I don't want to give my 8GB SDcard on phone, is there any good and stable ROM which doesn't require a partitioned SDcard (ext partitions) or should I partition some 2GB SDcard and give it on phone?!
Thanks in Advance!
Put it to stock. Or give the SD away, you won't need it for the Nexus.

dGB is a good choice that doesnt need ext partition, but you need custom hboot to make the most of it (requires s-off)
or you could buy a small cheap micro sd card, and use other roms which require ext partition. make sure you use only gparted or 4ext recovery to make the partition (not minitool, rom manager or clockworkmod recovery)
CM doesn't need a partioned SD-card as far as I remember. The internal ROM is just very small.
Put it on stock if you intend to sell.

Thank you guys, I figured out it yesterday night, I put an stock MIUI ROM on it but now I want to flash a Froyo on it because the physical bottoms on this ROM response a little bit with lag, and the buyer says it is not the software issue it is hardware issue but as I now it is a bit software issue since these ROMs are not originally for this cell phone, am I right or do I miss something, and it really is a hardware issue.

What system you check? Try most stable first without any scripts, etc .I suggest Cm 7.2 or Mildwild Cm8 jg stable. What's Your hboot? Stock, cm7, or else?

Better yet, make a nandroid backup, and flash the 2.3.3 GB RUU
If you still get the problem on stock firmware, on different SIMs on different networks, then you likely have hardware problem, not software.
Hboot will not affect anything.
i tried what you guys sayd and it worked. so i tried this version http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2131790 and its working to, but now i have a new problem :S

That's correct as you are still on stock hboot
Your internal memory will not show 'internal+sd-ext'
As long as you have correctly partitioned your sdcard with 4ext or gparted, and run the a2sd script everything should be working fine
Install an app like DiskUsage to check. Browse to your sd-ext partition and see if your apps and dalvik are being moved there

You can only change hboot depending on the ROM's /system size. That ROM will only fit into stock hboot, however A2SD should still work regardless, please check it.
Stock hboot has a large /system, and small /data (147MB) which is why it looks like you have low memory. It's exactly the same as before you s-off / rooted.
Most Gingerbread AOSP ROMs (e.g. CM, oxygen) have a much smaller /system size. They can fit into hboots with much smaller /systems (e.g. cm7r2 or OxygenR2 hboot), and therefore they do have larger /data (internal memory)

but with cyanogen rom i could see 1gd on sd ext, shouldnt be the same on this paranandroid rom?
I always use int2sd script, if you apply him in recovery your internal memory should have 1gb. Not all roms is compatible. I use this with mildwild mw10 and work perfect and in this Rom script is on default, you must only flash Rom forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357257
