I'm sure Seidio will have one soon. I plan on getting a Convert as soon as they're available. Get the slimness of a tpu case for everyday use, then slap on the extras for heavy duty protection when needed. Best of both worlds.
You really shouldn't put a phone on a belt clip...
Its kinda like blue jean shorts, strap-on sandles, and mullets. You. Just. Don't. Do it.

The Nexus 4 fit perfectly in the leather holster that BlackBerry released for the Z10. Based on the posted dimensions, I'm hoping that the Nexus 5 will fit in the holster for the Z30.
I may not be a huge fan of their phones but BlackBerry sure knows how to make a holster

Easy. Phones on belt clips are ridiculous. Anything that I mentioned should be avoided. All of them look ridiculous. Just ask your girlfriend or wife, they know. Besides, it's 2013 not 1999.

My wife uses an otterbox on her iphone. Granted, without the belt clip but as with most women she throws the phone in her purse.
I always either had a naked iphone with seidio spring clip holster or seidio surface + kickstand and holster.
Either way, I'm not worried about the next man so you do as you want, I'll keep doing the same.

dont listen to these ppl making fun of belt clips. i always have one and i always will. having my precious phone just sloshing around in my pocket with dust/lint/keys/whatever will NEVER happen. having said that, i have no idea whats wrong with Seidio. they are always so far behind everyone else with their cases/clips. N5 has been leaked for months. hell, i probably could have engineered one by now with the detailed specs that were leaked out (wish i had a damn 3d printer). hopefully soon...
Waiting for a belt clip that would fit the neo hybrid...
Having a phone this big in my pocket is crazy.

I have used Seidio holsters since the HTC Sensation. I have used the N4 Active holster for the N4 with bumper and works to this day. Pic attached.
I'll try it out on my existing Seidio N4 holsters and report back when I get my N5 in the coming weeks. Unless of course, someone beat me to it.
I use belt clips only for the work week. I work in the office and it's the best way to transport it, rather than pocket it. I have keys and such that will scratch anything, even GG3. I hate pocket lint on my phones. I hate it as much as you with the fanny pack lol.
Not sure if you are looking for a case that also had a belt clip but if you want a holster that clips on to your belt I just ordered this one.

I have a Seidio Surface case + holster for S3. Just did some eye-balling from my naked N4 in it. I believe a naked N5 will fit in it... perhaps not so snug. I have a Ringke Slim coming next week. That should be enough to fill the small gap, and protect the back of the phone from the holster clip.

And it is amazing! adds the perfect weight, doesn't seem to attract lint and it makes this phone look damn good! It has a detachable clip which i found can also be used as a kickstand i guess lol. Its 2 pieces consisting of a chrome cover and a textured back. I bought it for $30 from my local t-mobile store which was pretty steep in my opinion but i love it!

I agree. After looking at the pics, it's even more convincing that it's a similar one that I had for the G1 which I didn't like since it adds too much bulk than I wanted.
But thumbs up to the OP if he likes it, hopefully the corners don't wear out fast on you after putting in and pulling out of your pockets a lot.
this is the same case that bodyglove is selling on their website. I have been planning on buying one I am glad to see some pics. The kickstand is what is gonna do it for me!

Nice, I had a body glove for my G1. Really liked it. Just came from my T-Moblie store but all they had were the gel cases. Guess I'll have to wait.
I have one of these for my G1 and it is really nice for protecting the phone. After over a year the phone is still mint but the case itself started to peel about a month ago and it's getting bad now. It still works great though and the plastic clip is super heavy duty. I have dropped my G! many times in this thing and there is not a scratch on it. It is kind of bulky though but great protection.

You're legally required to have car and health insurance...and a case isn't comparable to car/health insurance. a case won't help when your screen cracks, or when your phone is stolen.
Kraken or Otterbox? Which of the two is better? I really like both cases, and I've heard good and bad things about both. I would appreciate any input, especially of you own/have owned either cases.

I like the look of otterbox better, but tridant has the kick stand...so depends on what you think you'd use more. I had an otterbox on my phone for a while but realized the bulk was too much since I baby my phone. I'm sure same would be for the trident. If you drop ur phone a lot or do a lot of hiking with it, bulk it up....but otherwise it really takes away from the slim design.

I haven't seen an AMS until now, ordered mine. 34.95 on amazon.
I have the otterbox defender case. The back of my holster clip locks in so it can be a kickstand. Its very bulky but it works.

I have the trident aegis. With trident cases, the plastic is on top of the silicone when you put it on, with silicone sticking out on the corners. That way, the silicone doesn't easily stretch like it does on the otterbox. Especially if you take off your case on a regular basis. I have the defender for my ipod touch, and I've used it on other devices as well. In my opinion, the screen protector is horrible as well. The worst I've ever used(yes its worse than those cheap ones you can get off ebay in a 3 pack for 3 dollars). Trident cases also have dust covers over the mic and speaker grill, whereas the otterbox does not. So I say go with the Kraken. It would be worth it.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Thanks. I decided to but the Otter from BestBuy, and also order the Kraken online to try both out when the Kraken gets here. The first day with the Otter was terrible with the screen protector, but now it's a lot better, since I guess it either stuck to my screen better, or O got used to it. Does anyone know the quality of the built in protector for he Kraken? And also, one last thing, if I were to drop the Kraken, since the outside is; plastic, how durable is that plastic. Because the thing I like the most is he outside rubber for the Otter.

Just got my Kraken today, absolutely love it. As for the screen protector, I threw it away, didn't even bother with it. I've had ghost Armor on all of my phones as well as my wife's phone, I get a new one put on once a month and have never had a problem. The plastic around the Kraken is very durable and wouldn't be worried if I drop the phone. I'm coming from an Aegis, a lot better protection and I've owned otterboxes before, Kraken from here on out for me.

i just got this case a few days ago and i like it so far. im coming from an otterbox, which i started to not like that much after the rubber outer layer began to get weak. im sure i could probably contact otterbox about it and they would likely send another one. but i wanted to give the kraken a shot since i really like the aegis and my only contention with it was that there was no kickstand or belt clip. i have to get used to the texture, hard and a lil slippery is much different from the otterbox's soft grippy exterior...but not a downer by any means. also, i found the screen protector to be decent and actually a welcome edition. i was ready to go without it or use a Realook screen saver that i have, but the one that comes with the Kraken is nice and im not having an issue with it at all.
one issue i do have with the Kraken is that they didn't design it with a hole for the indicator light (top right). i actually use mine and when im doing in the field and my phone is on silent. so that would be a good thing to adjust if they can for future designs.
Be different, go trident... I see too many otterboxs.. Mostly on iphones though

I've had both (Although I had the Commuter for my old LG Optimus One) and I currently have the Seidio Active (Without the kickstand) and the Seidio Active is much much better. The silicone and plastic is much higher quality and it doesn't lose it's shape like most Otterboxes too. The only upside with buying the Otterbox is that is comes with a screen protector (A pretty crappy one anyway) and that's about it. The Seidio case is much better.

The Seidio case picks up a little bit of lint, a LOT less than the Otterboxes do. Half the time for me it doesn't pick lint up but when it does it's barely noticeable and wipes off really easily. Can't same the same about the Otterbox though, I had a hell of a time with lint problems when I had one for my old phone.

Do yourself a favor and also check out the Trident Kraken(Excellent Video Review Here). It has an awesome kickstand, tons of accessories that can be bought(11 bucks for a windshield mount? DONE!) and you can take it out of the poly-carb box and use just the silicon sleeve when you don't need it. Plus from everything I read online, Trident offers far superior protection than SEIDO or Otterbox. And the rotatable belt clip is way better than a holster, to me anyway. Give it a look, love mine!
Also if you want slightly less protection(and thickness) consider the Trident Aegis.

Of course the Trident Kraken offers superior protection when compared to the Seidio Active and Otterbox Commuter but it also adds a lot more bulk to your phone. (If you're ok with that, then go for the Kraken! It is the most protective case out of the three!).
And I wasn't hating on the Commuter, I was just stating what I had encountered when I had one with my old phone.
I decided to go with the Seidio Active case with the kickstand. It should arrive tomorrow so I'll update you guys on how it is.

Would have to say the seidio active is my choice. After i tested it the hard way, due to me being sleep deprived. There's a few on eBay. I can see why a belt clip would be useful - small pockets would be one for starters. I personally would use one at work because our medical scrubs have very baggy pockets - my current phone has fallen out of them many many times - and I do not want this to happen to my SGNII when I finally get it (come on 32GB) - I wear an equally "unfashionable" belt bag (or "bum bag") UNDER my scrubs to carry the important things I need (wallet etc), many of us already use a belt clip which fits nicely over the cord that ties the scrubs. Others use a man bag - I think a belt clip looks better than this solution.
Some people will comment and say that they are unfashionable or out of date but sometimes people need things because they work for them. One of my friends at work has a SGNI and the number of times that he gets the comments "my god that looks like a 1980's phone" is more than I can remember (of course then he shows them the phone and shuts them well up!)
The second reason to use a belt mount would be that there is no way on earth you're going to get the SGNII out of a front pocket whilst sitting and I'd never put it in a rear pocket.
I've not found a slim solution yet, but give it time and I'm sure one will arrive - this phone seems to be even more popular than the SGNI (judging from what my local retailers have said) so once it hits the USA I'm sure case manufacturers will take some notice.
I want to get my dad a nice case and holster for fathers day, I've got a nexus so I don't know the options for his S3. I like the otterbox commuter because the silicone is held tight at the top and bottom by the outer layer. If anyone knows of a horizontal holster that fits this well let me know (like the defender series holster). I would really prefer horizontal over the vertical clip in style, even though I know they all swivel. I don't like the defender because he won't like the soft outer layer or built in hard screen protector. The ballistic SG MAXXX has the horizontal holster and hard outer case, but I don't like how the outer layer doesn't cover the top and bottom. Any suggestions for a commuter holster or different case combo?
I would check out the body glove toughsuit. Its similar to the defender, but the outer layer is more of a you material. You can also pull the built in screen protector out pretty easy. They sell them at Walmart if you want to check one out in person.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Nah, the hard inner layer and soft outer layer isn't logical in my opinion. He works in construction so it needs good drop protection. I might just go with the commuter and get the Seidio active holster.
I use the otterbox defender and am also in construction and it serves me well.
Sent while sleeping in chair.
The outer layer is not soft. Its riggid and way better than the defender its Not tacky and grippy. Ive had them both before.
