It might be too soon to announce this but a new ROM with SONY XPERIA UI is in the works for the Nexus 7. The ROM will have all the bells and whistles from SONY's XPERIA UI.
If you thought TouchWiz was the cherry on top of the cake... Wait til you see SONY XPERIA UI...
The screen shots you see on this post are just an imitation of what the real deal is going to look like. *****On the picture you see Paranoid-Android with Nova Launcher and XPERIA icons, just to give you an idea of what the ROM is going to look like*****
Will keep you posted on the progress made...
THE PLAY GROUND IS OPEN...

Looking forward. I have Xperia Ray and Nexus 7. And I miss some home UI behavior from Xperia line! Sony's UI is really nicely tuned. Nexus 7 with similar UI will be great alternative.
Interesting! I have made something similar as an addon for galaxy nexus but never released it. It's also working on nexus 7, even the launcher. keyboard, gallery and the widgets. Only the theming doesn't work because galaxy nexus uses xhdpi instead of hdpi. Here is how it looks.
Looking forward for the ROM

Head over to the Sony Tablet S section and pick up a system dump, then port it to our device.

I've been using the test/super-alpha-version of this Xperia UI and just like you said Madphone... the theme is the only thing that needs to be fixed.
For all of you skepticals out there... The Xperia theme exists, it's not a myth, it just needs to be tuned a Lil. And all of this courtesy of the one and only... MR MADPHONE.

The launcher and widgets are available in theme/app section. Downloaded and running smooth and lag free.

Isn't there a CM10 theme that does this?

So... Is the Xperia UI for the Nexus 7 available yet?
Here's the Keyboard for anyone who wants it. Probably one of my favorite keyboards out there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2104060

Do you also happen to have the latest Xperia Launcher working for a Nexus 7? Because I can't seem to install other versions of it.
The reason I bought my Nexus 4 is to forget about flashing custom roms and stuff! I like to use stock and rooted, but I notice that all themes are only compatible with cm 10.1 or AOKP roms, so my question is if there is a way to theme the stock rom framework the way u can in cm10.1 or AOKP? Thanks
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Yes, it's possible. You can pull the appropriate files and decompile, theme, recompile, sign, then push it back to the phone (that will require a lot of patience and technical ability). You can also try using ZipThemer, but I haven't found any compatible ZipThemer themes in the N4 forums -- in fact, I'm not even sure tgat ZipThemer is compatible.
But the easiest way would undoubtedly be to flash a ROM with Theme Chooser capabilities and pick from the almost-thousand themes available.
Btw, is it okay if I ask why you don't plan to customise the s**t out of your N4? Personally, the only reason I bought the Nexus is because of the immense dev support, and also to teach myself a bit of programming and modding along the way.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
You could flash a deodexed stock ROM, then you'll have a very theme-able "stock framework".
Yeah but the thing is that when I start flashing roms then it's like an illness that I can't stop, I lost so much time on my galaxy s3 flashing roms tweaking and modding, man it just gets crazy! Also the update to 4.2.2 it's coming soon so I wanna stay on stock rom to get it as soon as it comes out!
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I'm wanting to flash rasbeanjelly due to its amazing theme but I'm happy on stock so check that ROM out its pretty stock but the theme is really nice

Anyone running into problems running. Final fantasy dimensions with JB4.2.2 ?
I just go to blank screen. Worked smooth as heck in 4.2.1 any responses would rock thanks.then I can tell if it is my custom CM10.1 linaro ROM or if it is in fact JB 4.2.2 . Thanks again
I get the same thing on my Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus on 4.2.2, both AOKP.
Sounds like 4.2.2 issues. Try messaging Square Enix about the issue.

Works fine for me... I'm on PA latest nightly (non test builds) with Metallice's M-Kernel.

I did, their first response was to uninstall and reinstall it. After that didn't work they said to "check my status bar auto-hide settings." Still didn't help. Now i'm going back and forth with them trying to get a refund.
I would try another Rom before refunding because it is a great game.

I noticed that after applying certain themes that FF Dimensions won't boot past a black screen, but when I apply the stock theme it fires right up. Right now I'm running Smooth ROM 5 but I have tried with others including CM 10.1.

thanks it worked
WARNING!!! only flash this if you know what you are doing because i am not responsible for BRICKS AND LOST DATA
This rom is a Work In Proces so don' t expect much things to work
Rom details
-Android 4.1.1
-Port From Galaxy Premier (i9260xxama1)
-MUlti windows Can be enabled
What works
- it boots
- sdcard is detected
How to flash (ONLY DEVS SHOULD DO THIS)
- do a full wipe so factory reset + system format + caches
-i recommed to copy everything on your sdcard to your pc because SDCARD can act weird after going back to cm10.1 (fix permissions)
-flash the rom
-boot it ( it will hang somewhere with a brighter google logo then ussual)
-pull battery
- try another boot(it will stuck on android is updating)
-Battery pull
-another boot this time it will take you to the homescreen

I hope some devs will help me on bringing this rom to a daily driver .....

I have tried changing the font on Android 4.3 via Rom Toolbox and I just get stuck in a bootloop. Is it happening to anyone else? Is there a new Method to Installing Fonts on 4.3 as Opposed to 4.2.2 cause I never got bootloops using it.
Also, I'm running Cyanogenmod 10.2
Thanks in Advance.
This is a great question actually, made me forget to change mine as well. I believe they can be pushed into system, I'll double check and post back!

The guys in the VanirAOSP thread are using a free app in the PlayStore to change fonts. Its somewhere in the last few pages of the thread.

I use some other apps like 'ifonts' downloaded from play store to change fonts for 4.3.
Somehow ROM toolbox doesn't work anymore
