Help fixing voicemail. Get message Invalid Number - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I gave my dad one of my Sprint S2's (I have a few of them I use them as timelapse camera's) because he just hated his kyocera (he has hearing issues and a quirkk of the kyocera made it very hard for him to hear)
anyway its a sprint S2 so I had someone flash it to boost for me. the transfer went perfectly zero issues. everything works mms txt calls data you name it.
voicemail got reset but that seems to happen every time you change devices with boost. we reset it recorded a new greeting all was good.
now the next morning sister says she is getting an invalid number message when she calls pop. turns out she was going to voicemail and the voicemail system was saying his number was invalid.
I tried press hold 1 from the handset same message. I diales HIS numnber from the handset. same message.
how do I fix this? how do I "reset" the voicemail?

thanks. I actually spend quite a bit of time trying to FIND that forum. I could not find it.
I put in sprint galaxy (nothing) I put in D710 and nothing (in the type to find your device box)
did not think of trying epic 4g touch

Yep the titles of some of the forums here are a bit weird (they should include all the various model numbers that correspond to the brand names of each device).

People aren't recieving my MMS with all ROMs

I recently flashed my wife's Tilt 2 with several different builds of the EnergyRom and then finally back to the stock HTC Rom. With all of them after whenever she sends someone a MMS, it says that it was sent successfully and then the other person's phone even wakes up like it is about to receive a message but then nothing ever comes through. I have spent a lot of time searching through the Rom development forum and found no solution. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
go back to the energy rom thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562773
hit the 'search this thread' button just below the page #'s.. then click 'advanced search'
and then in the search box on the left for keywords.. type 'mms*' then hit search..
it could be a few things aparently.. maybe something with 'carrier provisioning' not doing what it should?
really though, i'm not trying to be a jerk.. I just spent better than a couple of hours trying to get my sending limits to 600KB..
that's how i finally got it.. just searching and searching..
No in my post it clearly states that I am now having this problem with all ROMs. I have gone back to the stock HTC ROM and it is still happening so it has nothing to do with the Energy ROM.
I have read about the issue with carrier provisioning and since I did not use it I know that it is not related to that. Flashing several different ROMs including the stock ROM has not changed this problem. Once again, does anyone have any actual ideas about why this would be happening?
contact your carrier.... Sounds like somehow you may have missed one of their automatic sim updates. The carriers regularly send them out for.. I have no idea why actually. But I know I was having issues with my touch pro (problems sending texts and phone calls would cut out after only a few minutes) because somehow my sim didnt get the random update they send out every so often.
If they do determine that is the issue what they have you do is call from a land line or something while they update your sim, from there you have to reset your phone and they'll then do some check and once thats done everything will be fixed.

Text Message time problem

I am having a problem with text messages. Every outgoing text message is right, but every incoming text message reads an hour earlier than it really is. So if someone sends me a message at 4pm, my phone says it is received at 3pm. It's really annoying, and it messes up then entire list of messages from a person. Is there anything I can do about this? I have the Energy Sense Rom.
Anyone had this problem??
Hey, I run the Cookie Energy ROM and OCCASIONALLY on a new flash the time stamps will be messed up. What fixes it for me, is enter your time settings (click on the clock in the HOME Sense Tab) and pick the time zone, then manually enter the correct time and it typically fixes it inside the Sense Text Client.
However, you can also use something like SMS-Chat, which runs faster and cleaner. But occasionally freezes. I'm not sure how to fix this. But just a suggestion. Cheers
I talked to Rogers techs and they reset my phone settings from their end and still messed up. Then they blamed the fact that it was an unlocked phone. I told them that the last 3 phones I used on their network all unlocked and showed the correct time stamp. I also attached an official answer from HTC.
Who am I supposed to believe?.
HTC answer:
Thank you for contacting HTC about your Touch Pro 2. I understand that your text messages are coming in four hours off. I wish we could be of more assistance, but your carrier stamps the time on those messages. This has happened for years on the Rogers network. There is no setting on your mobile device that controls the time stamp you receive. Some Rogers-branded devices have a hot fix available that accounts for the Alaskan time, but the T-Mobile Touch Pro 2 doesn't have a patch available for correcting this issue. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but I'm glad I could offer some insight into this issue.
Still confused?!?!?!
Just to add a little more confusion to the topic. My friend and I both bought Tmoblie phones. He a HTC HD2 and me a HTC touchpro 2. I had them unlocked . We put our Rogers sims in our phones and his text time stamps are right on and mine our 4 hours behind. I now believe its a Rogers cell tower problem. IF anyone out there has seen or has a soluiton it would be greatly appreciated...seeing that i get 50 to 100 textes a day, it gets confusing when the times are off.
Thxs
Its the rom it self, I am on virgin in Canada and with certin roms my txts times are messed but with some there not, try a different rom.
After 3 days of searching the forums I found a fix that works with all HTC phones. I used it on 2 HTC phones, HD2 and Touchpro 2 with great success. All you have to is download the small cab file to your computer copy it over to your phone and extract it. Thats it.....
Thxs to Dangerously for the fix. I added the link to the thread which has the cab in it.

The Energy ROM FAQs list this fix:
Wrong SMS Timestamp: If you are receiving text messages (SMS) with the wrong timestamp, what may cause them to be in the wrong order, a solution was posted here.

[Q] Voicemail notification won't go away, on T-Mobile - SOLVED

Anyone else having a persistent "new voicemail" notification that won't go away?
It's been there ever since I popped in my T-Mobile SIM.
I've looked at some other forums with other phones with the same problem. On a CM ROM, there's a clear all notifications. On some other phones, there's a setting which isn't available in our phone settings.
I remember having the same "problem" when I bought the Nexus S. I'm getting my Galaxy Nexus tomorrow so I don't know 100%, but on Gingerbread, you'd have to go into Settings >> Call menu. Inside there was a "clear voicemail" option, or something to that extent. Again, I'm sorry I don't know about ICS.
Also what you can do is if you have no voicemails, call T-Mo and ask them to remove voicemail from your account altogether, and then add it back. Of course you'd have to re-record your greeting and all that.
Yeah that's what all the prior forum posts said. Too bad that option is not here in ICS.
Well, I'll try leaving a message and erasing it to see if that does anything.

That happened to me just the other day when I got a new sim from T-Mobile since my previous one was ~4 years old.
Anyways, make sure you delete all of your voice mail messages. Then call yourself from another phone and leave a message! Go back on your phone a delete it, that solved it for me
EDIT: ...lol didn't notice that you said that's exactly what you were going to do
Well, exactly what you suggested (as I was doing it) worked =)
ALSO, because I was installing apps and such on the phone for a few days before I popped in the SIM, I ran grooveIP. Probably because of this, all my voicemail numbers were set to the google voice voicemail number (for unanswered, unavailable, or busy). Not sure if that had anything to do with it, since the voicemail notification was from the TMob 805 voicemail #. Regardless, I switched them back to the Tmob one (had to do this manually).
And after calling and leaving myself a message, it resolved itself as soon as it got notification of the new voice mail (didn't even have to delete it).
Thanks all.

[Q] Cant text anymore on ATT, any ideas regarding SMS centre number?

Hi guys, i dont text much, like 20-30 texts a month or so, hadnt texted any1 in a while(i guess 2 weeks), and since friday i can no longer send texts. but receiving works fine. I called ATT and they had me input a new smsc no. in phone information settings, but i wont take(says update failed). Any1 else have this sort of issue ever? can sum1 tell me their ATT SMS center number? dial *#*#4636#*#* and go to phone info. Or should i restore efs backup? I am very unfamiliar with kinda issue..!
EDIT: sorry, my bad, should have googled first, apparently there is a post regarding this in androidforums on NS forums, that explains that u have 2 convert the SMSC number they give you to hexadecimal then enter it. Stupid ATT rep didnt know this. LOL. My problem fixed.
Mods if you wanna delete this, go ahead, but i guess it might have been a source of info for ppl like me who mess around with roms, radios n kernels way 2 much!!
hey I'm having this same issue, someone should sticky, this, i never had a problem with this before this is something new. can you tell me what number and where you entered it, and where you put that value into our phones to get sms up and running again. thanks

[Q] 5 day old G3 Text messages not completely sent to "Dumb" phones

Used the search feature in this forum and google'd the net and haven't seen an issue like this yet.
I got two G3's last week.
My wife will try to send a text to several people that we know that have old style "Dumb" phones (Including my work phone) and either:
1. The dumb phone receives a blank message from her
2. The dumb phone receives a message of about 9 characters
Called Sprint and the Tech person first said that she had personally received messages from friends to her personal dumb phone, that were sent from other types of smart phones that were blank as well. But she said that it turned out to be whatever alternate keyboard that they had installed and that the stock keyboard would send fine. After a few tests she eventually said they would call us back when they figured out the problem within the next few days.
My wife didn't install anything but a task killer on the phone (I uninstalled it after reading a few posts here). She is running stock everything and sending to other smartphones works like normal.
Have already tried a workaround by telling people that she texts to buy smartphones but I don't think that's going to work out.
What could this be? Any ideas would be appreciated.
