10x. m using a stock gingerbread. and itz not when i open an app that d autorotate wont work. it doesnt work at all
Auto rotate depends on the gyroscopic sensor. Maybe it's busted. Do any apps that use the accelerometer/gyro sensor fail to use it? Download z-device test from the play store to see if your sensor is having issues.

btw if it is busted, hope it can b fixed
Auto rotate on Droid Incredible 2 or other Android smartphones has nothing to do with rom . Just be sure your sensor is working properly. In addition: I recommend this rom for u ( vivow_7.01.605.01_ics_R1.zip ) its a leaked vzw stock rom based on 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) also remember to flash firmware ( vivow_ics_fw_PG32IMG.zip ) *Everything Works*

If you have the HTC Incredible (what this forum is for), then do not flash that. That is for the viviow (HTC Incredible 2).

Yes! If ur sensors are not dead. And No! If there are dead.
Note: This rom if for Droid Incredible 2 (vivow) best so far!
*copy both files to the root of ur sdcard. Rename vivow_ics_fw_PG32IMG.zip to PG32IMG (should be flashed via hboot not cwm recovery ) reboot to bootloader and wait for 2 seconds. Ur phone will ask u, do u want to continue update from PG32IMG.zip? Press volume up to continue. When done! Remove ur battery and insert it back, boot to bootloader again (volume down + power ) navigate to recovery and select by pressing power. Install zip from sdcard .

Was it not working when they gave it to you because that is crap? In that case you got a bad rom on your device from the start.
In any case good to hear it's working.

Only froyo roms works with hboot .79 and hboot .92 is more so a requirement for gingerbread and newer.

finally bricked my first device lol
can someone here help me out?
(r800at 2011 locked bootloader)
xperia play was rooted via the super one click and i flashed what i think was clock work mod recovery using version 7 of the auto installer app
after about a week of not being about to get into recovery by pressing buttons, i managed to get into recovery by using the volume down key
once i got into a recovery ( had blue text ) i full wiped ( twice ) and flashed Xperia Ice Cream Pureness and the black theme. after the installation was complete i rebooted and after showing the "sony ecricsson" the screen goes blank ( stays on ) and will only tun off when i pull the battery
no longer shows blue light when starting up and i cant get back into recovery mode
tried unbricking via flashtools but it won't recognize my device ( though it has before )
any advice?
any help will greatly be appreciated , thanks in advance
Well if you cleared your data then the recovery was probably wiped since you have a locked bootloader.... You need to update the drivers in order to flash the ftf for your model...

Or this :

Use Flashtool :
http://androxyde.github.com/
How to use flashtool is nicely explained on the website but I think it should be self explanatory for what to do.
You can also try flashing the Neo L ftf and install ICS Pureness over that if you really want an Ice Cream Sandwich rom. (Providing you can enter recovery because you have a locked bootloader)
( double posting , sorry)

If you want to use an ICS Rom on locked bootloader you have to flash a Neo V ftf then use an app like X-Parts or use RecoverX to gain recovery and then you can install Pureness as a flashable zip.
As far as I know people that flashed Neo L ftf had an Upside Down Camera and Gamepad obviously didn't work however Gamepad should work on a modified Rom (Camera might be a kernel thing - I didn't try this but I can almost guarantee will work) no other issues have ever been reported.
It is important to note that depending on how your phone/country communitcates (GSM/CDMA) might impact on your connectivity personally I don't know if AT&T is CDMA or GSM because they seem to use both.

So, for a little history about my PLAY's problems - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2607723
If you don't want to read all of that thread - long story short, I had flash problem, couldn't boot again, so they told me to flash stock, flashed ReFlash with .238, now I have problems with the google store, so I want to flash a costume ROM (cm 9 or 10).
Now, I tried to install cwm recovery, when I'm trying to boot into it I have blue led for about a second and then it stops, and I just can't boot into recovery mode.
Any help with that?
And about the google store problem - I try to install an app (any app), and I get error (498). Someone knows what is it and what can I do with it?

Dude, I searched, the only way people get blue led for few seconds and then restart is when they're bootloader is locked (main is unlocked).
Flashtool will tell you if your bootloader is unlocked. connect it to flashtool and check the drivers. If it says none under flash/fastboot then it's the drivers doing that. But if you connect to flashtool and it tells you that you need root your bootloader isn't unlocked.
