So, I have been running 10.1.3 for a while, and now that 4.4 is out, I want to flash a 10.2 nightly (4.3) so I am not too far behind.
However, When I try the usual way of updating the ROM through the CM Updater, my google apps dont work... (like play store, messaging, dialer, etc.).
I will be flashing GApps to see if it fixes it, but does anyone know if it will?
Thanks!

It might work, but my best recommendation is to clean install CM 10.2 since updating from CM 10.1 could cause a lot of errors.
Thanks for the reply!
So flashing the gapps package seemed to work! However, the Google Apps (drive, hangouts, music) would force close.. But a simple uninstall and reinstall fixed that issue.
Running 10.2 snapshot m1 now with no issues! Can't wait for cm 10.3!

What rom are you running and have you tried installing the 10.2 version again. I've noticed alot of people are reporting the "blue block" problem with 10.3. Is it in the browser or an app?

where can i get 10.2 from,,, having same issues using fresh evo 2.2
im still using the original release of flash 10.1 (as far as i know) and im getting the blue block as well and cant install 10.3 for some odd reason, so where can 10.2 be acquired
using king cocoa II
I had the same problems with 10.3, it would buffer and rebuffer alot where as I go to the same site on 10.2 and the streaming is perfect no rebuffering every 20 secs.
i've been using 10.3 and things were fine when using the lastest FRESH rom. but I just switched to GingerAle and the browser FCs a lot when there is flash.
Hey all,
I decided to flash Jelly Belly 10.0 (4.2) and everything works fine until I flash the GAPPS- I've tried three different jb GAPPS from three different sources, and whenever I flash them, the next boot and from there on out is "setup wizard has stopped" and "com.android.GAPPs has stopped...", mostly giving me a Setup Wizard has stopped popup though, and it's keeping me from using the phone at all- not even pull down settings are responding.
Any ideas, maybe I'm not supposed to flash jb GAPPS?
Thanks!
AFAIK most of the 4.2 roms out include gapps in them, so there's no need to flash it over. Also, no official gapps package is out for 4.2 yet (most seem to contain pre-release versions of the 4.2 apps). That could be your problem.
I know what you're saying, but I'm also flashing the GAPPS linked in the ROM's original thread.... I also looked at the Pure AOSP 4.2 ROM for the VZW Nexus, they're linking to some 4.2 GAPPS package...I'll give it a go.
Thanks for replying!
Edit: Yeah that did it... For anyone else using Jelly Belly or any other AOSP 4.2 ROM, get GAPPS from here: http://old.bitsurge.net/android/gapps-4.2-JOP40C-121117.zip
So I upgraded from CM10.0 stable to CM10.1 monthly 2 yesterday night and everything seems pretty good. However, I tried to download Dashclock widget from the google play store yesterday, yet it says that my Galaxy SIII is incomptabile.
What should I do to fix this? In case it helps, I did a dirty flash. Didn't wipe 10.0 and just installed 10.1 over it.
Android Version: 4.2.2
CM Version: 10.1 (m2 - d2att)

You can attempt to do a clean wipe install, however I suspect its just not compatible with the new version of JB. CM10 was 4.1.2 and CM10.1 is 4.2.2. So its very possible the developer has not updated their app to include the new version of JB

Thanks everyone. Will try it.
Did the clean install solve your problems?
I'm experiencing a problem with Dashclock incompatibility, where the web version of the Play Store says it's compatible with my phone, but the Play Store on my device says it's incompatible. If I click install via web, nothing happens on my phone.
CM10.1
Custom DPI (but using patched play store)

Edit: apk installation from file explorer works fine, found this download link: http://www38.zippyshare.com/v/90618241/file.html

Hi,
The apps that force close are Black**** alpha, Apto*** and Tunein radio pro.
They all used to work (except for Apto*** which I installed recently) before rooting my phone and flashing a new rom.
I can still use them but I have to click very quickly on something to load in Apto*** for example an app or a picture, or click very quickly the live chart or something like that in Tunein radio pro, or browse quickly in Black****, then if I use them for a few moments they'll close again or the app will restart itself.
I tried reinstalling Tunein radio pro and black**** (and clearing their data) with no luck. I also tried fixing the permissions in CMW when the problem only happened with Tunein radio pro but it didn't work.
Is there a way to fix that or to troubleshoot it? (I recently heard about logcat but I never used it)
Thanks.

What rom were you using when the apps worked? What rom were you using when they FC?

I was using the original ICS 4.0.4 when all was working fine. And now I am using Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 (latest stable one).
Since you're already running CM10.1, you might want to try the latest Avatar ROM which is also based on CM10.1 to see if that helps.
Personally, I am running Avatar ROM with Wind 2.6 kernel and haven't had any issues.

But I really like the stock android look of CM and I don't want to replace it by the Avatar rom or any other rom plus I am not a pro rom flasher. And this doesn't guarantee fixing my issues...
Avatar ROM looks exactly like CM10.1. You just need to choose the System theme.
It's your choice but I find Avatar to be faster and better on battery life than CM10.1.3.
I got the Samsung S3 Tmobile T999. I want tot install the latest Cyanogenmod rom. Mind you, I'm a noobi, never installed CM before. But I'd like a good recommendation for a good, STABLE rom thats CM with the latest Lollipop. But without any issues like camera, video, wifi, calling, etc. . Can you please recommend one?

Honestly to tell you every Rom is almost based of CM . So your best bet would be to install CM 12 cause you get constant updates.

No, once you download the update go to recovery and look in cmupdater folder in the root directory, the update should be there. once u install it, you are good to go, everything will be there after u update, so no reinstalling. just clear ur cache before u restart after update.
Ok cool.. Will do that. Appreciate it.
