Yessssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!
Well, it looks like source code has been released. So, I would expect device trees to start being changed over to 4.4 soon.
Is 4.4 really coming to Razr M? I am praying
RAZR HD is probably going to receive it, RAZR M is a maybe, and if Moto really wants to then OG RAZR, although I could expect the same BS as the Galaxy Nexis.
Sent from my XT907 using xda premium
Well, I think the original RAZR page said it is going to stay on its current release.
Edit: yup, says it will stay on 4.1.2. Moto X page says 4.4 will happen, so we we just have to wait to see what happens to he M.
Sent from my XT907 using xda app-developers app
The M has basically same SoC as RAZR HD right? So if RAZR HD gets it then we should to.....fingers crossed.
I am so upset at Verizon for not supporting Nexus 5, and the M is the only other phone I like/can afford.

Maybe not officially, but if there's a HD kernel for 4.4, we'll have 4.4 in no time
We'll probably get 4.2... That is the "Future Plan"..

We should see 4.4 if anything. Unlike the Galaxy Nexus we have a supported kernel. But who knows... were currently in a state of limbo. We may not even see anything.

Well with a supported kernel, we should get some kick ass builds if nothing else. I am more than okay with that!!
Based on all the talks about 4.4. It appears that KitKat is great for lower spec phones. Our RAZR M is no slouch with Snapdragon S4 and 1 gig ram, so I am quite excited for 4.4. I hope there is official release, if not I will try cyanogenmod. I hate rooting and flashing but I think 4.4 will be worth the time.

Right now, if your bootloader has not previously been unlocked, there is now way to do it. I believe that there is a current root method still available for it.

I got my 4.0 aftet doing this.
First delete the threads like when will we get ics if you started a thread
Second do a factory reset.
Third pull out the battery.
4th put the phone and battery in the desk drawer.
5th dont touch the phone for 3months from now on
6th then u can put the battery back in and you should receive an ota or check xda. If you didnt get it repeat the process.
its important not to use the phone in that period of time because the phone knows if u created a thread or not. If you did created the thread and dont follow this procedure the phone will go back to cupcake(1.6) and lock him self up with some hardcore bootloader that u can never root it. And the phone will overvolt your phonw by 4times and underclock the phone to 400mhz and use only single core.
And cut the ram and memory by 1/4. So careful if you dont want to end up with 400mhz overvolted 256 mb ram 4gb phone. Oh and one more thing. It will only do 2g and no wifi.
Ics update or ****ty phone. Your choice

today I realized how easy nexus phones are with rooting, returning it to the factory state and that ****..
my friend his galaxy s2 was in a bootloop, couldnt access cwm, needed to flash the stock firmware via odin.. and how the fck did i needed to know which firmware to choose. so many regions and ****... so I flashed the stock rom, needed to root again, flash cwm again... just a clear headache.
if this situation happened on a gnex, i could have fixed it in 5 minutes instead of 5 hours.

Its an amazing phone. Recommended. It feels so good in your hand , the curve makes it a sexy phone. If coming from a phone with menu buttons you'll be HOW DO I USE THIS BABY!?. but you'll get used to it, in 1 day you'll be used to the Soft keys. Best part is ... CUSTOMIZABLE SOFT KEYS!!! WOOOOOO!!!
I recommend Team Bamf. Its stable and fast and nice. but if you are a person that doesn't care about bugs and just cares about the amount of features I recommend a Nightly. They aren't buggy but may have a few quirks here and there. Jellybro is the best CM10 rom out there in my opinion.
Don't be a dumbsh*t like me and hold the phone upside down the first time you get it.

If I had to take a guess, I would blame it on the Snapdragon SoC. The Infuse and nearly every other Sammy handset is rocking an Exynos SoC. They usually get the bulk of the attention and once one handset with the chip gets a release, it's simple to port it to other Exynos based handsets. Just a guess though.

Actually the Infuse has a Cortex A8 Hummingbird which is the same cpu used in the international Galaxy S and US variants. Besides the Nexus devices that family of devices is usually first to receive a new release of CM.

consediring that samsung hasn't officially released 4.2.2
even if 4.2.2 comes this month it will be on Carrier by the end of year
then we head to 4.3 let us say samsung does release it till the begin of next year you will get it on Carriers by mid year or something so even getting hopes up on a international GS3 now is useless because this is going to happen in the great future
Seems bogus, It's specific to international (as usual) and still running a 3.0 kernel, which is kinda odd. Either way there is about 10 other reports of this out, not sure on those sites credibility though. Here is the discussion of it on the i9300 forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43828326. This seems really odd altogether. Doubt it's real.

Lol! Last night when I was looking at it, everyone was saying Nemesis was the new CM11. (At least where I was looking)
Just did another search and the same sites are now saying it may simply just be a new feature.
So, at the time I had posted my response, the two most popular guesses was it was either cm for iphones, or a new aosp/touchwiz hybrid type of thing. Knowing cm has the gs3, well that's where I was leaning. Then I came back here and saw ziggys post.....so while I know its easily faked, I figured it was at least worth considering that he might have known more. Anyway, I confirmed that's not the case, and he did get me! Oh well, time to go bury my head!

You're most likely correct. But what I had read elsewhere was of rumors that it was a completely new thing. Several had speculated it was CM11 and wasn't going to be 4.3. (Not saying it would be googles 5.0, just that it wasn't 4.3) Its hard to say with all the different rumors at this point. Now its being said it may just be nothing more than a new feature!
What I read last night though, and thinking that he has the S3, and you know they most likely have whatever it is booting and at least partially running, made it seem it was at least in the realm of possibility.
Seems entirely plausible too that someone could be testing it on a T999. But alas, I was in fact mistaken! Little embarrassing, but oh well....

I have no idea what it is or could be, I could be wrong and it maybe a new version of android. I personally think it might be a a new launcher, but we won't know until it is released or leaked.
I wasn't trying to embarrass you in any way, shape or form. I was just trying to point out that what Ziggy posted was from editing the build prop. the only things that made me question the screenshot were the #totallylegit hash tag and the 3.4 kernel.

Nothing there. Turned out it was 4.2.2 all along. Nothing 4.3 about it.
Follow the links and you will see.

As far as running stock aosp 4.3,it seems kind of pointless to me until cm11 comes out. There is not a lot of new features. Seems pointless for a dev to put a lot of effort and time into it until cm releases a good base.

Why in the world would you want to use a tablet to pay for things... Seems like a douchey thing to do. Like taking a picture with a 10" tablet.
And yes it has NFC.

Besides the point. You trolls. The OG N7, has NFC and Google wallet.
The more I search Google play the more I see no tablet app compatibility and its frustrating.

It was just released, apps need to be updated to be compatible.
And I'm not trolling... I was dead serious.

I bring my tablet everywhere, having the option is nice.
I find it hard to believe they don't have a working Google wallet considering Mr. Pachai has been using this tablet for months. I'm sure the update will come, hopefully others update their apps too. Google toted more and more tablet apps that look great on the nexus 7 screen, but no tablet apps see the new n7 as a tablet

I think its more of a 4.3 thing than a hardware thing but it could be both. I doubt that they will restrict the new one if the old one used it. BTW there is already a thread for this in q&a section.

i dont get why its douchey. It has the capability, so whats the problem, if thats what people choose to do. If you cant help the OP out, why bother commenting?
The new N7 doesn't have a secure element NFC chip, Wallet will never be (officially) supported for it.

Come on guys, this forum has been open for only a few days and there already is fighting. The point of the matter is that if someone asks a question, do your be best to answer without being a douche. Too much on this site have I seen people judging people for what they want to do with their device (such as taking pictures or using wallet with a tablet, trying to get instagram to work, etc.), its their device and they can do whatever they like with it. No one made you the official judge of whats cool or not! So play nice and help out your fellow members in this Dev community without your personal opinions reflecting in your post

I thought that was odd too, they had Wallet working Day1 on the OG N7...
Google wallet? I do not understand!
Has any one tried pushing it from any of the gpe roms? Neither the s4 nor one have secure elements in them and they come out of the box with wallet at least the gpe models... just a thought I'm gonna try if no one else beats me to it

Lol, i never take my tablet anywhere unless on vacation, dont really see the need to pay with my tablet, may as well use my credit card
That Androidpolice story is a bit confusing. Does it say that it will never be compatible due to lack of security chip or it may be compatible in the future with updates?
Will never be compatible due to the lack of the secure element chip.
Same as the play editions of the htc one and S4.

There may be hope for a working version in the future.

Sorry to say but that's that standard message that it displays to devices that aren't currently supported. It doesn't mean they are working on support for it.
