[GUIDE][MOD]Change DPI in Xposed Framework - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 General

Great News: Xposed Installer now supports Galaxy Young
So Many of Us Are Eager to Try It
But Don't Know Where To Start From

Galaxy Y has a nice 3 inch display. But having phoneUI in all the apps doesn't justify the screen size. With Xposed App Settings you can change layout and density of each app to tabletUI or PhabletUI whatever your preferences are.
How to Install
1. Make a Nandroid Backup. (Just in case you mess up any system file)
2. Download the XposedInstaller 2.1.4 apk and install it. Launch it and grant it root permissions. Then press Install/Update button. Then reboot.
3. Download the Xposed App Settings apk and install it.
4. Launch the Xposed Framework App then in the module tab, enable the Per App Density Module. Then reboot.
5. Launch the Per App Settings app and there you can now set per app density for all apps listed.
Here Is The Original Link With Other Modules Xposed
Galaxy Y has a default dpi of 160, So if you want phabletUI for any app then set dpi to 290-320 and layout to 200-300. For tabletUI try dpi value from 180-240.
I have tried phabletUI for some google apps like Playstore, Gmail and Google Now. You can try various settings and keep whatever suits you best.

default dpi is 120 not 160 bro.

We can also use some apps to change dpi like density changer.

[Discussion] do you use custom fonts?wich are your favourite? +tut to change fonts!!

Hey guys, ill start a discussion about fonts
I personally use Sony sketch, its awesome
Wich do you use?please reccomend and share
TUTORIAL TO CHANGE FONTS:
You need FontChanger app that is availiable for free on play store
.ttf (TrueTypeFile) format file,in short font file.
Move .ttf file in sdcard/.fontchanger
And font changer app will recognize it and just apply and reboot.
NOTE:you need to have root+busybox installed for this to work.
Caviar Dreams is my font of choice, has a "Bioshock" type feel to it
I use JRummy16's Rom Toolbox to easily change Fonts between some +150 choices, amongst many other things
It will be interesting to see this font put on.

It works for most ROMs if you use this app Floating Notification (this is a free version to try all options for a month, give it a shot )
There's an Xposed Module to boost the effectiveness of the app, but Floating Notifications works great without this mod too : XHaloFloatingWindow
I hav been using floating notifications for a long time but I hav gennext ROM I guess halo doesn't work on it and xposed doesn't work on my phone :/

I'm on GENNXT INU_HD (latest release), I tried the XHaloFloatingWindow module, its not correctly re-sizing all apps (for me, gmail, hangout, whatsapp didn't re-size, they opened as full apps) to give a floating window but some do (like in screenshots attached)

The main issue is the stock Samsung ROM's Multi-Window according to this post from XHaloFloatingWindow mod
ROMs with issues
-Most Stock TouchWiz UI
(There are problems with Samsung Stock ROMs due to MultiWindow Codes conflicting (my guess only). Even after disabling, the MultiWindow codes will still conflict)
(Specify Device and ROM if there any other bugs)
Known Bugs to fix (My TO-DO):
-TouchWiz ROMs may not scale window
-Some apps launch in HALO mode even when launched normally

Besides that, make sure you have Xposed Framework installed, after you install it, go into framework tab and select Install/Update then reboot. After that you can use the Xposed Modules (have to select them in modules tab in Xposed then reboot for them to take effect)
Because Xposed works on almost versions android (2.3+), specially ICS/JB, and a lot of users (if not all) are using GENNXT with more than 2-3 Xposed modules

QuickSettings can be enabled in emui!

Hello.
Make sure you have root and xposed framework installed. By using a xposed module called Xperia Flip Settings, you can get the AOSP quicksettings using the button in the top right in the notification panel (used to open up the system settings).
Original Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2494071 Thank him if you like this module.
I also recommend using GravityBox to edit the tiles and make the quicksettings show automatically while there are no notifications.
Note: Changing the theme in the emui theme manager will bug it, so restart the systemui or do a hot reboot and it should be okay again.

Incase you're using Xposed, install this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2547781 and reinstall it inside of the installer.
If you dont use xposed then I am not sure why it doesnt change the systemui resources

That vetsion doesn't affect the icons and i am using google home launcher and regular xposed framework makes the icons to become stock AOSP icons.

[Share][Mod] New moded systemUI.apk for cm11

I haven't moded this apk.
I just found it on a facebook group and I am sharing it here.
This is a moded systemUI.apk for cm11 and it is smoother than the original system UI.apk
It has some sony xperia animations that makes phone faster and in call wake up delay is almost gone.
To install it just delete the old systemUI.apk from system → privat apps and replace it with systemUI2.apk and don't forget to set permissions to rw-r-r
Press thanks if this post helped you

my Wifi stops working after replacing the SystemUI.apk
do i need to rename the SystemUI2.apk to > SystemUI.apk or no?
This app has nothing to do with your wifi bug
You don't have to rename it
Your wifi bug might be caused by a tweak or script that you have installed and you can solve this by doing a fresh install of cm11 and than installing the apk
Don't forget to hit thanks if I helped you
