Not going to lie, PowerAMP was my first purchase on the Android Market and I am extremely happy with it.
The best feature for me is the ability to view my songs as folders since I already have my music organized by artist/album and I don't need the library. Anyone who's using their phone as an mp3 definitely needs to try it.
PlayerPro.
Which one do you use?
Moved from Google Play to Player pro to Winamp and now I've settled on Poweramp. I've seen some of my friends with a player called "noozy" that is very reminiscent of the Zune library software and I would love to try it out but I can't seem to find it online at all.

Google play , since its compatible with syncing play count s with iTunes by using isyncr.
If it wasn't for that I would use noozy or ZPlayer.

I use the stock Google Play Music (via WiFi), I've only got 1 MP3 on my phone which I use as an alarm and don't use it over Mobile data, I also use TuneIn Radio Pro to listen to radio (obviously) and podcasts.

I have Noozy on my phone, it was included in some audio mod I downloaded ([MOD] [N4] BEATS+XLOUDER! 4.2.1 [07/12/12] JB Louder Audio Improvement Patch) for my device - not sure what version/build it is, it just says Noozy Studio 3
I used Noozy now and its great but I have a problem. It shows my notifications and ringtones. How can I hide them?

Are there any third party music players that can access music that you upload to google for storage there?
Thanks a lot! Saved me a bit of searching

I'm looking for a music player that will let me make play list by genre from songs on my phone and my Wi-Drive and not the web. It seems all of the players are only for use with the web/cloud. Any recomendations?

No but I use Google Music to store my music. Then use Cloud music importer to import what I want onto my device, and use whatever music player to scan and play my selected stuff. I prefer Poweramp.
I actually use CloudAround. Since the Nexus 4's internal storage isn't all that big, I use several 50 GB Box accounts (that also come free with this phone) to upload all my music to. This allows me to have as much music as I'd like with my Nexus 4.
I used PowerAmp (with the Holo theme!) previously however. Its a fantastic music player if you don't want to use the cloud.

Download the free app "simple last.FM scrobbler" and log in with your last.FM account then it should sync play counts after that .

The storage on the N4 is so small that I actually keep an old Galaxy S for music I have on my PC otherwise I just use streaming services like Pandora or Spotify.

Better for what ?
I use them both. Poweramp for music (it is a great music player) and MX for video.
Also for Poweramp you need to pay.

The question is like asking Who is better? Eminem or Tiger Woods?
LoL
IMO both are the best in their own fields. I use PowerAmp as my default music player and Mx player as default video player though Poweramp can also play some video(mp4 and few other extensions ) as an audio file.
:good:

i am resurrect this thread, and asking if anyone know one apps to use instead of having both poweramp and mx player (i have both).
i just prefer to have one app to listen mp3 and play video but both need to be as good as them
The answer is simple: PowerAmp is the best music player in the market wile MxPlayer is the best Video player. IMHO
Does anyone know how to play google play music that i purchased on Apollo? I can only seem to find the music on google music player.

But I use winamp.
one thing I noticed though is that when I tried to upgrade to kitkat (aosp), I could use it (was gone from the store - probably not compatible to kitkat).
GoneMAD music player if you are looking for extremely customizable music organization and UI. Not as many of Neutron's bells and whistles, but it does have Dashclock Widget integration.
for now i think poweramp is the best..

Google music just came to canada, I love it! Otherwise I used Songza for the longest time.
Another +1 for Google Music. I subscribe to Google Play Music All Access. Anything that isn't in the library, I'll upload from my computer. I keep all my playlists on my device.
I switched from Spotify when it Google Play Music All Access first came out. Unlike Spotify, which limits you to 3,333 tracks stored offline, you can store as much music as you can fit on your device. If I store all my playlists on my device I've got something like 50GB of music.
Google Music.
