I went to my local T-Mo store to get a microSIM for my prepaid plan and it was free, my old SIM was full sized and they transferred my plan to a new microSIM no charge. Got an adapter to use it in my full-SIM Note 1 while I was there too, it was a few bucks, not bad!

Got one of these back in June to test T-Mobile's network before I switched from ATT. Back then you had to use the coupon code "99SIM" in order to drop the price from $10 to $0 including free shipping. Glad it's FREE for all now.
T-Mobile's on a roll. Going to have a blowout quarter Nov 5th.
switching over to T-mobile next week (with my tmobile N3 currently on att), anyone know if these will work for monthly plans?
To clarify, if I bring these in with me to the tmobile store can they transfer numbers and set everything up? I wanna avoid paying for it at the store.

Activate SIM card online, then call Cust service to port your number if need be. Their best plan is the $30/m with 100 mins, unlimited texts and 5gb data. You can use Skype for all your wifi calls.

Be very careful with these sim adapters!
If you plan to stick it in there and never take it out, it's probably ok. But if you ever need to switch sims, be very gentle when removing it.
These adapters will often get caught on the delicate connector pins and damage them. I speak from experience, lol... damaged my Note 2 and an HTC One using those adapters with an iPhone nano sim.
Cool, Got my 2 micro Sims today. Now what to do with them.. Lol

Haha, me too. Got a micro and a nano. Do any other phones besides iPhone 5 use a nano?? I actually have an iPhone 5 that I hardly use, mainly because it's an iPhone (haha) and that nano sim card size is a pain in the ass. Was thinking of maybe activating the nano to use occasionally on my iPhone, for the heck of it. With the $30 plan, won't kill the wallet to have two active lines.

Hello, I want to buy an E980 from att because the price cheaper, but how can I do that without activating an att service plan?
I know there is an option to buy from ebay, but I am just afraid of being scammed.
Thank you.
I believe if you're paying full retail, you can just walk in and pick it up. Have you tried that?

buy from costco then cancel the contract after 14 days and pay the ETF. It'll be cheaper than buying from AT&T outright.

if u go to a cor store...a real att store not a dealer location they'll sell it to u no problem without service. dealer locations like ms wireless and parott only sell with upgrades and new lines cuz they r typically pure commission. cor reps still get hourly pay so if u wanna just walk in, bye, walk out, it should be quick and easy
U could buy it on swappa on the xda site.

I wish that were the case. I was able to buy the first one with a bit of persuading. But I returned it only to have the price drop 110 dollars so I bought the 2nd one. 3 different stores said it was against policy to sell without service plans. I called Customer service and they said the same thing. Who knows. But Just FYI they may be getting ready to stop selling the phone altogether . I had to purchase a 3rd due #2 dropping and shattered the screen. It rang up for 400 dollars.

interesting the only time ive ever had an issue buying out right was at Verizon several years ago.
They must had had a glitch, that phone should had been 439 plus tax. But I wouldnt complain at $400! haha.
So they are supposed to let you purchase the phone full retail with signing up for even a go phone plan?

saying you wanted it without service is probably why they didnt sell it to you. most sales reps r shady and sharks...i know cuz i used to be one. i used to see my coworkers bold face lie to customers sometimes if they didnt wanna do something that didnt make them any money. since you wanted just the hardware and no service they werent getting jack from you at all and just said they couldnt even tho its not a problem at all

What's the possibility there will be a gold option of the m8 for tmobile? Reason I ask is from what I can tell the gold one on other carriers are best buy exclusives. Best buy doesn't sell tmobile. Well at least here none does.

If you go to HTC website site it only shows 1 color for T-Mobile. So far it's accurate spot to look. If you want Gold you have to get the unlocked, AT&T, or Dev version.

anyone know of a way to get a "jump" early?
I am on month 3 of my new T_mo service, and I am on my 3rd(replaced twice with problems) lg Flex; I'd love to get a M8, but, i have 3 more months until I am "officially" eligible..
Anyone know of a way to get my jump early, or convince T-Mo to let me grab one? I have 3 lines in total, and really dont need another line..
Thanks!
There is none other than paying off your device and starting a new EIP(you will have to wait 3 months).

You can go into a store, have them move you from JUMP! to JUMP! 2. The only difference between the 2 different programs is that JUMP! 2 requires you to pay off half the device to upgrade; which can be done at any time. No more 6 month waiting period. If you qualify for $0 down, you would be spending more money going that route, but if you like to upgrade all the time, it might be useful! I work for T-Mobile, that's how I know this info.

There is no 6 month waiting period. After the initial 6 months wait you don't have to wait.
The only difference between the two is
Old - 2 upgrades per year(not every 6 months), any amount owed is paid off
New - Upgrade any time a long as 50% is paid off.
I have already used 2 jumps already on one of my lines and I am about to do it again later today for the M8.

So, I am only 3 months into my "time" with T-mobile, and I have a LG Flex that I pay monthly on, with no money down.
I am in the "old" jump program.
What you are saying, is that I can take my Flex in, today, tell them to move me to "Jump 2", and trade it in for an M8, and I dont have to pay off anything on the Flex, and I can "start fresh" with an M8, with no money down? (I have great Credit)
Thanks

Did you already jumped the first time our if the flex your first device?
The only wait period is when you start jump.
Also when you do your second jump to the beginning of where you did the first jump.
For example I can't jump again until January next year for my two lines. My lines are stuck with the S5 and M8.

Did anyone take advantage of the pay for 2 lines get 2 lines free promo T-Mobile ran last weekend that ended the 22nd ?

I did. Haven't got the sim cards as I ordered via Twitter DM's/Phone. I told them I had devices already. Before the offer I had 3 phone lines and a mobile data line. I'm cancelling my 3rd phone line and mobile data line in exchange for the 2 free lines. End up with 4 phone lines for the price of 2.
I didn't have to pay an activation fee or anything as the rep waved it when I told her I had sim cards already and wanted to avoid any sim card charges.
