Phone turns back on while charging. - Verizon HTC One (M7)

My phone is being odd, not sure if this is normal, ok. My phone dies from battery depletion, I plug it in while the phone is off. Wake up in the morning and phone is powered on and airplane mode is set on. Phone is stock I just got it a week ago

1) Stop letting your phone die. There are quite a few incidents where people are letting their phone die and it won't turn back on.
2) It could be like the iPhone. When an iPhone dies, and you plug it in, once it charges enough to power up, it powers up. Probably the HTC One is the same way. I haven't let my One die, so I haven't experienced this, however I'm confident this is what it is.

Bricked?

Pretty sure it is. From a battery pull, phone will not power up. After pressing the power button the phone will vibrate once after a few seconds, but nothing else. Attempting to boot into the bootloader (power+volume down) does absolutely nothing. Any suggestions?
Pull the battery then plug it into the charger and let it charge for about an hour then try to turn it on.

It's not due to a drained/dead battery. I should have mentioned I already ruled that out. I did just that, plus tested with a spare battery. No change.

I'm happy to report I've successfully unbricked my phone. For those curious about the actions I took, continue reading.
First off, what caused my phone to behave the way it did is beyond me. I had a hunch the phone was powering up and booting though as it was giving me that vibrate.
Here's what I did. Pulled the battery and let it sit for 5 min. Reinserted the battery and connected the phone to my computer. It gave me the charge indicator LED. I pressed the power button and let sit for about another 5 minutes. No indication from the phone that anything was happening mind you.
I ran a RUU to see if it saw the phone. Low and behold it did. The phone still appeared dead. I let the RUU run and do it's thing. After completion my phone successfully rebooted and loaded up just fine.
Although I do not know what caused the anomaly, I suspect firmware corruption/malfunction.
Anyway, all seems to be well now.

[Q] one x not switching on

i had the phone running this morning with over 50% charge. i put it on charge to get it to the max before getting to work.. then the phone hanged and switched off..since it has happened before when the phone overheats, i thought it will reboot but since then its not detecting the charger. When i start charging the phones battery area heats up but the charging led is not seen. the dealer told me to charge it for an hour and try but that also didnt work..
any opinions or past experiences like this??
Can you boot into HBOOT? Power plus volume down.
Not sure if its the same thing but over the last 2 nights mine has done something similar and it is annoying the hell out of me!
On the first night as usual i switch my phone off (with about 10% battery left) and plug it in to the charger, wait for the charging light to come on, and go to bed. In the morning no light on and phone won't switch on? After a while of unplugging and plugging back in, pressing random buttons and head scratching the red light comes back on and i can start it up but the battery is completely flat and have to charge it up again?
Same thing happened again last night but this time i had about 50% battery??? Haven't looked into it properly yet as i thought it was a fluke but obviously its not! I'm running stock untouched phone so trying other roms etc isn't an option atm.
Will let you know if i find anything ;-)

@iTeeXDA-Hboot also didnt work..tried it a lot...my local dealer asked me to charge it for a long time and try it....didnt work out though after an overnight charge.
i have same problem. I couldn't open. And not charging.
Just an update
Phone charged as it should last night, so nothing to report yet

Ok so i have had a few days of no problems but just woke up to another completely flat phone? It had 45% battery when i put it on charge and the charge light came on. When i woke up it had no light on and completely flat battery, it wouldn't switch on !!? Unplug the charger and plug it back in and then after a minute the charge light comes on and you can turn it on?? This is very annoying as last time it happened was at a weekend but i have to go to work now without a phone as I have no way to charge it :-(
This is a real pain as it doesn't always happen and when it does I'm asleep so i don't know till its too late?

Thought I would add a couple of screen shots too
You can see where it just drops to zero

[HELP] My phone will not turn on, and will not respond to anything.

Okay, so before i went to bed about 8 hours ago, i was playing with Unified Remote and web browsing. I fell asleep and forgot to plug in the charger, but my phone was safely tucked under my pillow. This morning i awoke to check the time, and my phone just wouldn't wake up. Then i noticed it wasn't even on?
So i did the key combo, and nothing happened as i frantically reached for a charger. Just to find the charger did nothing either, along with 5 other's.
Is there anyway to jump start the phone? Or any cause to this? Phone's just don't spontaneously stop working.
Thankyou for any replies or ideas.
Leave it connected to the charger till the red light turns on.
I've had this happen to me twice. Thought id bricked it somehow. Just leave it plugged in as mentioned above. The light should initially flash for a while and eventually stay on solid (red light obviously). I got mine going by holding power and vol down like you would to enter hboot and plugging/unpluging a few times. don't let it drain in future!

Thanks guys, it worked! But i have no idea how it drained? Any idea how this happened?

What the actual f**k?

So here I am, just checking my phone after charging it.
I lowered my phone mhz before to save battery. Was putting it back to normal, when all of a sudden my phone just stops. Screen goes black. Like it was off. So I am like... umm.. dafuq? I try to turn it back on, nothing, and I try to put it into fastboot mode, NOTHING. Wat just happen. Any ideas? I pulled the battery out too, and well. This sucks. I really hope I didn't get bricked or some crap. I doubt it is though.
I hate to state the overly obvious, but is there any chance your battery is dead?

Lithium batteries have a fail safe in them, they kill themselves when they reached absolute zero, if the lithium has no charge at all and you attempt to charge it, bad things will happen (like your phone blowing up) buy a new battery off eBay, if that doesn't fix it, send it in to RMA

Before doing any of the above, plug the phone into a wall outlet and let it charge for 5 to 10 min as it can take some time for the phone to have enough juice to turn back on.

Hard brick, sudden death or mobo fried?

This morning my phone was acting funny as usual when all of a sudden I heard a loud static sound come from it. My phone cut off and I haven't been able to get it to come back on.
I've tried a soft reset and taking the battery out for a while, it still won't start.
Is it bricked or dead completely?
Did you try plugging the charger in to check for appropriate level and health of battery? When battery is out, discharge the circuit with power button press and hold.
Does it boot to download mode or recovery?

I've tried taking the battery out and holding the button for 30 seconds. Nothing.
I've got two batteries, both were at 95% before it stop coming on. It's be acting strange for the past few weeks. Shutting down randomly, rebooting into Download mode and freezing. I'm just trying to figure out if I need to get a new phone or can I salvage it.
No recovery or download mode possible after long battery pull? No display lit up with charger plugged in? If no, may be a brick; needs a tech to look at it.
That loud pop and black screen is a bit concerning.

Yikes, mine just started freezing a lot and it's rebooted randomly a few times.
Fingers crossed I don't have the same issue.
My computer is still detecting my phone when I plug it in. Is that a good sign?
How so? Are you getting into download mode and recovery? Press and hold VOL(-)+Home+Power is download mode. Recovery is same pattern but VOL(+).
Anything on phone display?

Whenever I connect my usb cable to the phone, my computer makes the sound, letting me know its connected. I don't get anything visual on the phone screen or on my computer.
Also, the phone has be getting warm if I let it sit.

No. That's not a good sign. I'd pull the battery and let a tech or engineer look at it. It should be mostly idle if powered down with battery installed. Sounds like it may be in a serious loop or intermittent power switch. If left to its wits end; it could be catastrophic. I don't see it recovering on its own. Needs intervention if any good is to happen.

Great. Glad my friend is a Sprint Tech.
