Dirty flash worked fine for me. Been using it since Flinny sent it my way yesterday and have had no issues. Am tempted to try a Sense build to compare speaker volume, but Slim Bean is my daily driver.

I had the same issue. Find a SU.zip file and put it in your phone's Download folder. Don't unzip it. That fixed it for me. Drove me nuts for a couple of days, though.

To fix root just go to Chainfire's website and download the SuperSU .zip file and flash it in recovery. I think it fixes some issues that may currently exist between the integrated superuser in a lot of builds and our phones.

Not to pick any kind of squabble, but this is exactly what did it for me. I wiped clean and installed Slim Bean over and over, being sure to click the root for apps/ADB button every time. No root access. I would restore CM, Vanir, stock, BoneStock, whatever, and I had root again. Wipe, flash Slim Bean... no root, no matter what, until I put an SU.zip in the downloads folder without extracting it. Then bang, I had root. I don't know why it worked, but I do know it worked, when nothing else I tried did.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Btw thanks for this another port, but are there many FCs with the Play Store? If I can't install my apps, it's useless for now.

Sir, you sure can't read. And no need to explain the whole process to switch ROMs. If you're not satisfied with all this, I recommend you to make your own ROMs.

*cough cough* I clearly stated in the 1st post that I'm not a dev. I know what I'm doing: I'm taking i9000's CM7 and switching the framework, the apps, SystemUI, libs and so on with those from JoyOS.
Anyway I ported the ROM based on that guide, it's true. So what? I made this for personal use, then decided to release on XDA. The other 2 ports have more bugs than this. On one of them you can't even end a call!
Also, I am working to fix the bugs on this port with my still limited experience. If you don't like what I do, then /ignore me and GTFO.

lmgtfy is unhelpful
In the interest of making the OP as maximally helpful as possible, could you replace the "lmgtfy" links with actual links?
If you're looking for the Google Apps for this ROM, you want the JellyBean ones from one of these two sources:

I followed in Cyanogens footsteps by not directly linking to them... I am not sure if it was a legal issue or not but if you look at his posts he always says search for them - his quote was "Google Apps are not included in this ROM. You'll need to find those yourself if you want them."

You might want to check ot make sure you have the correct APN

MMS proxy - 10.128.1.69
MMS port - 80
APN type - *
All other values leave as default.

The information was outdated and the conversations in the thread were based on the preview builds... I contacted the forum mod and explained to him that I posted this thread and if they need it shut down - to do so.. We will leave the rest up to cyanogen and the mods. Just trying to help the people asking where to get the nightly and the new gapps... if Steve wants this thread shut down its perfectly fine for me. The donate link goes to him and I made it clear that it was not my rom or my build.

the progress from now forward is primarily feature additions... this rom is surprisingly smooth and well put together... there are very few bugs and at the rate the team is working, they should be squashed soon..
Fortunately or us Cyanogen himself is working on the AT&T and T-Mo versions! :victory:
If you want(or need) to point folks to the Q&A thread for CM10, go for it. It's pretty much questions and answers from all sorts of folks. I think it can handle the additional traffic

THIS IS NOT MY WORK! I am simply using the tools made by the hard work of others and applying the updates to the frame work for the E4GT. This thread is simply meant for convenience so others can add OpenPDroid to their roms without having to download all the tools and applying the changes themselves. If you want to Thank me for this work, then please visit the people who made these tools and donate to them or thank them. They deserve the credit. I only deserve credit for using CPU cycles on my laptop and posting the results here.
Tools used and credit to their work:
Auto Patcher Thanks to mateorod and others!
PDroid Manager Thanks to FFU5y!
OpenPDroid Thanks to FFU5y!
PDroid frameword Thanks to CollegeDev!
PDroid App Thanks to svyat!
I'm sure there are others involved in PDroid and if I missed you, let me know.
What is this thread?
I've wanted to use PDroid for a while now and found it difficult to add it to my rom since there were no maintainers for the e4gt that included in their framework. So what I am doing is providing a service to e4gt users to be able to apply the framework changes to their ROMs easily. Just download an flash rather directly from your phone.
What is PDroid?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36678558&postcount=1
This is NOT for TW!
Instructions:
Download the framework patch for your specific rom/version. These are ROM/VERSION SPECIFIC!
Download the 'restore' patch incase you want to remove it (btw, reflashing your rom does the same thing but this only restores the parts that changed which is nice) These are ROM/VERSION SPECIFIC!
Download the PDroid Manager App
Flash the update in CWM/TWRP
Install the app
Manage your privacy and Donate to your developers!
ROM UPDATES
Attached to this thread, you will find the zips. There are TWO per ROM per VERSION (one for update and one for restore). I will try to keep up on the latest updates.
If there are requests, let me know. No Promises because the utilities fail on some roms but I will surely try. Also if you need an older/newer version of one of the supplied roms, I can create it.
NOTE: The patching utilities do not work on all ROMs yet but as I have failures I am trying to work with the auto patcher team to correct. Important: These only make changes to the system partition meaning that the worst case, you can always just reflash your rom to remove it but there is a restore provided so you dont need to do that.

Hey everyone! Just wanting to see if anyone wants to test a brand new 4.4.4 AOSP based ROM for the Gnex (toro only). There are a few issues that are already know such as:
BUGS SO FAR:
Screenshot animation looks weird (screenshots turn out just fine though)
Bootani does not work, stays a black screen but it WILL boot.
KernelTweaker setting will FC
If anyone wants to check it out, you can download it here:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23578570567716208
I'm calling this a BETA build since not everything works, however, I could consider it a daily driver.
This ROM was built for the Gnex (toro) by me, however, all credit for the source goes to OctOS.
Nice! Pulled my old Galaxy Nexus out of the drawer to test the build on. Please note, you need to be running CWM 6.0.4.3 before you attempt flashing or it's going to fail. Booted and running fine here once that was in place.
Bugs as noted are present on my device as well.
No one else with a Toro wants to test?
Bugs have been updated for Toro in the OP. Still need some people to test this!
Making progress! KernelTweaker option no longer causes an FC. Still working on bootanimation fix and screenshot animation issue.

Edit 2: This thread is about @MSF Jarvis 's port of the OOS camera app for custom roms, which can be found here:
https://github.com/MSF-Jarvis/op5cam/commits/master
I'll leave it like this until the ownership of the thread is transferred to him.

Original post:
Hey guys,
Yesterday I asked Funk Wizard when OP will release an OOS camera fully compatible with custom roms.
He replied with a zip as attachment and said I could try it in the meantime, but I don't have a op5 yet.
Apparently, the caught the zip in the wild.
If I'm not allowed to distribute this please delete this thread!
EDIT: removed zip, adding link to developers github
This was made by harsh
Doesn't improve quality and might not work with all custom ROMs.
Can someone try it on official lineage os please?

Lol I understand the love for fame and that beautifully tempting thanks meter but please, don't do this. The ZIP is mine and open source since August 2 at https://github.com/MSF-Jarvis/op5cam/commits/master (thanks for showing up though, reminded me to push the v0.4 changes). Pretty sure Funk Wizard didn't pass off the ZIP as his though. You can keep the thread but add the GitHub link to the OP.
Also, I had been sending the ZIPs to other OnePlus 5 developers to test around which is probably how he came across it. Not exactly wild.

Sorry for posting it, I googled the zip and only Funk wizards thread came up. I would never have posted this if I knew this was already out.
And really, I don't care about fame or thanks. It's just that I am willing to buy this device but not until the camera quality on custom roms is the same as on OOS
@MSF Jarvis Whats the requirements to flash this? I'm on AEX and it said error invalid zip file format.

It's probably a bad upload.
Tried it on unofficial aospa and the app force closes every time. Probably need to force hal1 or something.

I downloaded it twice from the github page. Do you have a good copy you can link me to?

Thanks! Flashed this over my existing setup (running Dirty Unicorns) and couldn't get it to run. The app exits as soon as it is launched, and the only thing that worked for me was the front camera. Attempting to run the back camera in any way (pro-mode, video, photo, etc.) closes the app.
Just an update for anyone who wants to try, of course, nothing else.

Not yet. Will update soon.
Missing Portrait Mode
It seems to work well in the official build of LineageOS, but it seems to be missing portrait mode and therefore the bokeh effect.
Thanks for the great work!
