On the first Gen Note 10.1, my Chrome bookmarks would appear in the Samsung Browser (for all of my accounts)
On my 2014, nothing appears. Any thoughts?

I didn't think the last few versions of Samsung Browser were able to sync with Chrome. It worked for me on the on the S1, S2, and S3. But on the S4 and Note 10.1 2014 it doesn't work. I thought Samsung removed feature. How did you get it to work?

Aaahhh.. Shoot. I wanted it to work. I like having options!
Chrome on my unit has this bizarre display issue. The screen tears, garbage, but as soon as you scroll, it straightens up and plays right.

Multi view is a good feature. But I don't see a need for it on a phone. It's a nice thing to have on a tablet. Especially N10 as it has a very high resolution display. IIRC CM wanted to add this kind of feature in CM10 but they were advised against by Google.
Pop up play can be had by installing alternative video players like MX Player.
Pop up browser feature is also supported by some browser in Play Store. Forgot the name you can check it out

idk this phones screen is kinda small for multiview to be of any use really. just try paranoid android in tablet mode with split screen apps and youll see what im talking about

It doesn't matter to seem what ROM or android OS version I use since ICS. Chrome lags so badly it is unusable... anyone else have this problem? is there a solution?
I have the exact same experience with Chrome. I just stick to the stock browser though. Much faster, smoother and it syncs with google services.

It's a Google browser.
So it syncs with Google just like chrome does.

Current Roms: Skynote 7 (Note 2), AOKP (Galaxy Nexus), Nexus 7 Stock
For me, it's still Dolphin or bust.
The stock browser, not Chrome, is by my favorite on my N7 though.

Dolphin drains my battery way too much. It's fast but I love the leanness of naked browser. Have you guys tried chrome beta.. rumor has it that it runs much better
I use chrome on my laptop too so it syncs between my phone and computer.
Actually, on earlier CM9 nightlies Chrome would choke and be unusable, but on AOKP and other roms, it'd perform quite well. I guess it might be a memory leak.
Not to try and discredit you in any way, but Chrome works fantastically for me. No lag whatsoever.

Happened to me all the time.
Try going back to the factory image. You may be shocked at the lack of lag in Chrome.
I am 4.2.1 and chrome is laggy ...stock is much smoother than chrome when I am scrolling and zooming

I'm running latest aokp builds and notice (and have noticed on prior builds) scrolling being jumpy and not smooth. I don't notice any lag in terms of page loading but the scrolling jumpiness is a real turn off for me. I stick with the stock browser.
Chrome works OK on stock roms and on PA, but I prefer stock browser. It's more stable and faster.
Has anybody successfully been able to beam between the N7 and a Samsung S3?
Everyone I try it must opens the play store and nothing happens.
Any ideas?

I don't think it works. I tried it with a S4 and a N7 and it hasn't worked. I don't think Sammy's sbeam is compatible with the N7 nfc transfer... Two Google devices yeah, but a Sammy and a Google device? Doesn't work for me...

I have a nexus and an S3 and it works fine. I tried replicating the issue and it worked fine for me. First question is, are you on a custom ROM? Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but just putting that out there.
Second, my nfc settings on S3 are with android beam on, so beam off.
Also make sure that you are placing the nfc sensors together, as it can be difficult to find on the nexus.
Lastly, I love using an app called SuperBeam, which allows me to share files between my two devices. It's like S beam for galaxy phones, except for all nfc android phones.

Yes i checked and double checked it only transfers via bluetooth if i turn of Sbeam on my Note 2
All mine does is open QuickPic. Nothing transfers.

My s3 also s4 when trying to beam to my N7 are both directed to the play store. When I run an aosp romn the s4 it works fine with the n7 and android beam. I think touchwiz messes it up.

Disable S-Beam and enable Android Beam and it will work with the Nexus 7 or any NFC enabled android device.
it will work only by opening the bluetooth not the wifi for the transfer...so for large files it's not so fast transfer. ..

Has anyone successfully used SideSync 3.0 with note 3 and any of the galaxy tab pro tablets? Supposedly you cast you note 3 screen to ur tab pro like you can to your comp. But whenever I try it immediately force closes.
Anyone else have any luck?
It work perfect on my note 3 stock with my galaxy pro 8.4.. it didnt need wifi for me.

I can use sidesync note 3 with note 2014 tablet as well as sidesync using my pc at work via USB and when I make a call my pc speaker becomes the audio out. I don't have a mic on my pc for callers to hear me so I couldn't fully test.

Yeah, i have used it a few times. It will be cool in the future, still very rough around the edges. Not like when I used my Motorola Atrix as a CPU:fingers-crossed:
My tab s is crashing when I am mirror casting from youtube. this happens after I connect to tv and press the volume rocker. Is my unit defective?

I just check mine does it also, it must be an app problem.
Mine crashes when doing Google Play Movies and Chromecast. The Tab Pro also did this. My advice is contact samsung so they know about the issue and can fix it.
Contacted Samsung, they are totally oblivious to this issue.

It's been mentioned on the Note 2014, since the KK upgrade as a problem too.
Apparently as a workaround make sure no items or apps are in the Notification pulldown, so disable all app notifications so it's clean and stock and it shouldn't crash while casting.
This is an old thread, but I there is an Xpose mod that fixed this for me on my Tab S 8.4" (MF9 firmware), so I though I would share:
