It is the first time this miscalibration has happened & my battery stats have jumped up unusually without charging.
I'm using ParanoidAndroid 3.99 rc2 + ElementalX 1.8
Could someone explain me why this is happening & how to fix it .
Otherwise battery life is great.
Help appreciated.:good:

Those spikes, without charging, are not uncommon. Seen them in other threads as well. For that matter, my device does the exact same thing :good:

Just put build 5 on my S2, and I gotta say, its pretty amazing. Its a lot smoother, and has some more options. But mostly, there is a noticeable difference of smoothness and look. I was crashing once or twice a day with build 4 as well. So, I am happy. What are your thoughts? Any other Jelly Bean ROMs that are better?

Its pretty smooth for me too but one thing which i can't figure out is that I can't see any of my pics and music in the stock gallery or player pro. anybody got solution for this?

Goomanager. I myself am in love with this release. Everything has been smooth as butter. Implemented the usual build.prop tweaks for graphical glitches. CPU settings are all stock ondemand/cfq, went for 20-21 hours yesterday with 3-3.5 hours screen on time and that was my first cycle!! Of course no RR or SoDs either. Can't wait to see what whitehawk has in store for this update!

I noticed it in Goo yesterday, haven't flashed it yet though I think I'm still going to wait for the updated SBean.
This is the first aokp rom that I have tried and I am very happy with it. Everything is very smooth and fast. The only problem that I have with it is the lock screen. When I hit the power button the screen comes on really bright for about a second then goes back to the normal brightness level that I have it at. I usually have have it on the lowest setting. It doesn't always happen but most of the time it does. Anyone know how to fix this?

What are you using for a radio? Sounds like something is sucking the life out of your battery or you're in an area with crap reception and your radio is draining your battery trying to get a good signal. I myself am using uvle1 for a radio. I've had nothing but bad experiences using uvlh1.

Build 5 is working great for me. No issues so far and been running it for over a day. Using it with custom Kernel and OC. I must admit that its very smooth. My battery seems very good, wasting about -6%/hr, with WIFI on the whole time and messing with the phone constantly.
If you need the link for the build and kernel the links are below:

Calibrate battery if that's a new ROM give it a few days. My phone sucks battery no matter what kernel or battery. Just ordered an extended one a few hours ago. Hopefully, by the time i move to the fifth generation galaxy device, this retard battery issue will be solved
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
If your are planning to get a battery extension i suggest get the 3000 mAh of samsung this Jan 5th that would increase your battery life up to 49% (i read that here in XDA idk where is it but its true ) and also try TRINITY kernel would be awsome if you done like it you could revert back to lean - its only a suggestion
EDIT:
Is this your 1st battery cycle in this rom? usually that is normal the following charging cycle would be stable from what you expect
Been using this for 2-3 weeks now I was hoping it would improve but I
it hasn't. I'll give trinity kernel a try, thanks.

Calibrating is useless, its a bunch of snake oil. So don't even bother with that.
Sounds like you need to check for a bad app preventing your phone from sleeping, otherwise flash to stock and re flash.

Brightness at HALF? Why??
Etabindu another
I went with the qcell extended battery, currently running the Aeonfluxx v6 rom. On heavy use days I usually have 50% battery left. My stock battery didnt last 6 hrs before. The sg3 is my second Samsung phone, and both sucked with battery life.
Try a touchwiz rom bro... might save you some battery. also less widgets, check what apps are running during sleep mode and my favorite
Just carry an extra battery <---- problem solved

I had been running aokp task for a while and decided to go back to stock. I flashed stock and did a battery calibration. What I've noticed is that I get excellent battery life from 100 to about 40 percent. But from 40 percent onwards my phone dies very quickly. It starts draining about 20 to 30 percent in an hour. Any ideas why? Wakelocks seem normal too... Any suggestions?
