Is it advisable to go for the memory card for S3 ? Would it slow the data access speed ?
I am thinking of to get 32 GB memory card, though i am open for 64 GB too provided its not very expensive.
For 32 GB card i found SanDisk, Samsung's own card on amazon, can someone suggest which memory card is better (for 32 GB) and for (64 GB) for Samsung Galaxy S3 (ATT) .
I would recommend SanDisk, from a reputable seller for either size.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about getting a memory card unless you're running out of storage space. External cards will be slower than internal storage, but with a sufficiently high speed card, you won't really notice the difference in most cases.
I wouldn't really worry about brand unless you've never heard of the company (in which case beware).
I only advised SanDisk because of the 64 gb size. I've heard reports of some people having problems. I personally have a 32GB class 10 SanDisk that has been great. I use it as my storage for most everything on device (even my TiBu folder).
I'll take the opportunity to note that an SD card is great for backup purposes. It made getting my newest phone up and running with all my old data a breeze.
Exactly. Tbh, it's the same card i had in my Inspire, which had no usable internal storage. Plus, put everything on the external and if the phone suddenly craps out you won't lose your photos, etc.

thank you all for suggestions:
narrowed down my choice to :
ht tp:// www .amazon.com/SanDisk-microSDHC-Memory-Adapter-SDSDQUA-032G-U46A/dp/B007XZM6VG/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1348441022&sr=1-5&keywords=sandisk+ultra+microsdhc
ht tp:// www .amazon.com/SanDisk-Mobile-MicroSDHC-Version-Komputerbay/dp/B008H5QEI2/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1348441095&sr=1-3&keywords=sandisk+ultra+microsdhc+class+10+uhs-1+32+gb
Couldnt decide which to go and whats the difference between these ? Are these even good ones ?
i'm using the 64gb sandisk class 10 with no probs..the only thing i had to do was what other users have reported: reformat to fat32. it's been really fast. it seems to perform a lot better when it's connected in media mode as opposed to the usb mass storage mode in my experience. if u can find one for about 50 bucks, I think it's really worth it.
I grabbed a Samsung Class 10 32 GB card from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005TUQV0E/
From what I can tell it gets the job pretty well. Benchmark speeds are fairly close to the advertised speeds.
Thanks
i am confused between:
SanDisk 32GB Mobile Ultra MicroSDHC UHS-I High Speed Class 10 Card (New Version) with Komputerbay SDXC USB Reader
and
SanDisk Ultra 32 GB microSDHC Class 10 UHS-1 Memory Card 30MB/s with Adapter SDSDQUA-032G-U46A

The difference is the Adapter is microSDHC to SD whereas
the USB reader one is a microSDHC to USB.
I got the USB reader since it's USB and can use in anything. The micro to SD you could use for a macbook or for photo/video in camera.
I want to buy a 64GB card for my Xperia ZL and I have three choices:
- Samsung 64GB Pro Micro SD (MB-MGCGB) for €47,90
- Sandisk Mobile Ultra microSDXC 64GB for €47,90
- Sandisk Ultra microSDXC 64GB for €49,90
What's the difference between the SanDisk 'mobile' and non-mobile? Which on is the best?

if they are all class 10 then they are probably the same performance wise. If you just plan on using it for music and pics they will all work good. I use the sandisk ultra no issue. You should be able to find them much cheaper than that as well. I got mine on amazon for 40usd

I have the Samsung 64GB model in my ZL and it's amazing. Super-quick R/W speeds. Costs a little more than the others here in the US, but it's worth the price. :good:

I saw that you're using the 32 Gb unit. If you got a defective card, couldn't you have a replacement for free?

Does anyone have to use the device Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini - Card Sandisk MicroSD EXTREME?
The fact that my answer came from a corporation that Sandisk EXTREME cards are not suitable for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini:
We have checked and found out that your device Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini phone is compatible with the card 64GB Ultra micro SD, but not with the card SanDisk 64GB 80MB / s UHS-1 Extreme micro SD, for which you asked.
There have been reports that some users had issues with power consumption when using certain 64GB microSD cards.
I'm not sure if the line of cards are those you have specified but I doubt the device will be able to hit 80MB/s anyway so you would be purchasing an over-speced card for the phone.
card
its not the 64gb card version but i am using the 32gb extreme by sandisk without any problems?
The users were fine with the 32 but had issues with the 64. Not sure what's up

I had problem with SanDisk microSDXC 64GB Class 10 UHS-I Ultra Android. I had to return this card to the shop and now I use Kingston microSDHC 32GB Class 10 without any problem.

Hi, I was thinking about expanding my device memory via micro sd card and of course i aimed for 64GB BUT then I asked myself "hey, how about 128GB? great idea!". So here's my question: have anyone tried 128GB card in our S3 Neo?
It wont work ... s3 neo only supports up to 64GB
I am using 64GB
Works perfectly

Galaxy S3 Neo supports up to 64GB MicroSD card :/
Quick tip: If you're going to buy your SD card online beware of fake cards !!!
I think it can handle it because my old phone only supported 32 GB and I inserted my 64 one and after a short time I could usw it normally so it should work too.

Buy in online store, test SD card and return it if it does not work. If you live in EU i think you have 14 days to contact, return and get refund from item.

The speed of SD cards it supports is not out yet. Yes it will support UFS, up to 2TB; however 256 gb is the most Samsung sells at the moment.
This SanDisk Extreme 128gb U3 works just fine.
SanDisk Extreme 128GB microSDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter (SDSQXVF-128G-GN6MA)
This is what i ordered...seems to be the fastest in the market....realistically any card should run almost the same

Thanks for the info Techvir, presumably by now you have the card and it works OK?
I have the 256gb samsung card, it's pretty damn fast. Beats the crap out of the 3-4 year old 64gb evo card I had previously.
My experience with sandisk cards is a horrible one so can't comment there. I've had an insane amount of their cards fail over the years.
