Found this today: http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Motorol...e_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item25844f1e88
The seller also has a few other colors. No way to tell how good fitment is until somebody tries it. I kind of want the solid black to replace my woven black, but I'm not convinced I want it bad enough to spend over $20 for it.

aliexpress.com/item/Brand-Hight-Quality-Slim-Case-for-Motorola-Moto-X-Back-Cover-Protective-Shell-Battery-Cover/1403638081.html
the problem is that the back case is not that easy to open, looked at ifixit and found that the case is actually glued

No protector?
They dont seem to have a protective lens cover on them so you would need to take the one from your original and put it on but i dont know if that would be possible
Maybe the lens isn't part of the back cover?
They dont have protective cover for lens

Outer the ifixit teardown, the lens is adhered to the back. I guess the wait continues. Here's to hoping wood backs will be available in the aftermarket.

Well damn, wonder why the lens isn't on these replacement backs. I'd almost rather get a replacement one to take off the white one on my dev edition. White back gets dirty way to fast.
I wonder how difficult it would be to glue the lens protector from the original back into a new one...

These are neat, good price, but appear to be missing back dimple...
I'd hate to get the thing torn apart to put something that doesn't fit properly on there.

It is easy to open. The back plate is flexible and is more rubber than plastic. I was able to get mine off with just my fingernails and pulling it slowly. The 'glue' is just a piece of double sided tape.

I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago through an eBay seller. It was relatively simple to install but I take phones apart for a living. I apologize for the low quality pic. I had to take it from my Nexus 7. I ordered a dark blue. It looks and feels very good.

Did it come with the lens? Or did you have to take it off the old cover?
I wonder if any of these new backs will give hope to adding in wireless charging. I know some other devices you can add something like this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C3DKSRM but, looking at tear-downs of the phone, it doesn't appear that the Moto X has the leads that this normally connects to. Maybe someone else has better ideas than me.
I Highly doubt we'll see any wireless charging backs like what your talking about become available. It would just screw with the aesthetics of the phone too much.

Well I received my package in the mail today and what do ya know, its the carbon fiber skin I ordered! I bought a skin because I highly dislike cases, it always adds bulk and it really peeves me. Took me about half an hour to install it and I think I did a good job. Doesn't quite cover it 100% but i guess its enough.
Pros: Looks amazing
I like the texture
pretty good coverage
Cons: wasn't expensive, but it wasn't cheap either ($20)
Afraid it might peel (will update this in a few weeks)
still kinda slippery, possibility of it falling =\
I apologize for the blurry pics, I will post better ones once my camera is charged.
P.S. I also have a SGP Ultra-Oleophobic screen protector on, best screen protector I have used.
If you want to buy your own: Skinomi Carbon Fiber
SGP Ultra-Oleophobic
Looks quite good. I just wish they would make one that has front and back coverage. Having a cf back but stock front looks like skinomi did a half assed job.

That's why I put "The OP included the link" part. Just wanted to specifically point out that it's cheaper on amazon in case someone just googled skinomi and found their site lol. I would have ended up ordering from skinomi if I hadn't checked amazon first (wanted to take advantage of prime for shipping then found out it was cheaper) so I wanted to make sure others were aware.

I have the same thing, since this doesn't affect the car dock. I used the same skinomi carbon fiber kit on my Droid X, doesn't just peel off, you have to peal it off if you want it to come off..
I did use the screen protector that came with the kit, if you have any bubbles or blurs, it will go away within a couple of days.. I had 3 bubbles show up on my screen the next morning after installing, but it went away in 2/days.. I can't even tell I have it on, looks just like it did before I installed the screen protector..

They work fine just like they did for my Captivate too - put a T-shirt over your front buttons and try pressing them, does the same thing!
OP - Looks like "skinomi" charged you $20 for a pre-cut version of what you could have done yourself from an $8 strip from CarbonFiberFilm.com.... but hey, the cuts look good from what I can see in the pics, and it solves the issues people keep asking me about rounding off the corners on the back cover. I didn't do the back cover for a reason, so if you want to, buy this!

Very true ,I wondered how the people who made such a good device can make such a bad cover for the case ,problem is it is very practical and does not add size ,I have the Zenus case also but I prefer the Samsung which is falling apart!
I bought a I would recommend going for a full body skin as the full body protectors give the same protection that a case does but without the added thickness.
My flip cover went through the same as yours, I superglued it but even then it kept coming off.
BTW... I went to the samsung store to see if they had the MHL adaptor, there was a galaxy note booth and the guy there wanted to ask me if I had any grievances...
Told him about the flip cover and the lack of gorilla glass (dont you get me started on that ) The guy later came home and collected my flip cover and said its being sent to samsung and i should hear a reply from them in 2 months... have NO idea what that was about... dont use it anyway so gave it to him...
Yeah, paid $45 for mine. It's cheap junk but a good idea.

At least this flip cover back is thick enough to protect the camera lens better than the stock thin battery cover which doesn't.
Woah~ got mines as a bonus w/ phone. Going on 2 wks old and still intact but the back cover pops out once a while. Not as annoying yet, however I already ordered my Zenus leather case.

Somehow leather products with "glued" edges do fall apart quite easily. Happens to ladies' handbags all the time!
As for how to fix it, the answer is simple: blanket stitching!

This crappy fall-apart "case" from Samsung is totally unacceptable!
They must have known they had a problem when they started to give them out free.
They should have recycled and remade the lot PROPERLY.
I was wondering if anyone tried the combination of the diztronic case and a mercury screen protector. The new mercury SP's doesnt cover the entire front anymore (see picture) and was hoping the rest of the front would be covered by the diztronic case.
I have the SP and matte case diztronic, and it shows a little bit of the S3 front screen when the case is on. its unnoticeable though. I have a blue Galaxy S3 and black case, black SP.

That actually looks really nice. I really like that the screen protector covers the Samsung logo, but hate that it adds the Mercury logo to the front of the phone. I would love to have an all black S3 with no logos but, alas, I've yet to find a way to do that.

try bullkin. I think there's a thread somewhere here with a direct link to buy from china.
the only drawback is that the menu/back key barely lets the light through.
EDIT: since it ships from china, it will take a while, but i have the red one and it covers up nearly everything save a tiny sliver on one or the other side.

thanks a bunch. That was the one I was looking for (but in red) I know ebay has some for sale and I remembered someone here said they're buying one so i'm waiting to hear their response in regards to "lift" for the bumper.
the only thing that bothers me about that case is that it's a cutout of the buttons rather than a cover.. but that's why i'm thinking of taking apart my other case to modify to do so. I'll see if I can post results if it's successful.

also i like the cutouts.... cases with a cover over the buttons tend to be too sensitive or impossible to press the buttons
sounds good. when i get to modding mine. i'll post a review of some sort.
oh god. that case, i have a black one of that. One of the screws goes through the hole, but this is because of the case being defective. But the piece where the screw rests, gets. The case looks good though, but the buttons are too deep in the case. You wont be able to press them with ease. Maybe when youre done modding ill try the case again.

The "full body" just cover the back itself, doesn't cover the sides, top or bottom. All in all, it's pretty good, all the cut outs are pretty dead on... Except for the front face ear piece, it's cut so that there it about 1/16" of uncovered screen on the right and then about 5/8" on the left... My ocd is screaming at this, but I'm sure I will get over it. (Edit shortly after posting this I realized there are two sensors to the left of the ear piece, lol... With the black front they are nearly invisible)
Ultimately, not bad for 2 bucks.

In case anyone needs a code, currently (12/3) the following just worked for me:
Mystery = 10% off
Cyber85 = 85% off
They also stacked together
Just got 9 front/back and 1 back only, came out to $14.30.
Thanks again for point these guys out.
1 Question, do you really need to use soapy water? Or if the device is brand new can you just use regular water? (Thinking the soap might be the cause of the rainbow effect)
Thanks
Picked up 3 fronts and a back for 2.10 on Black friday!
put the front on and ****ed one up it seems to work pretty well. has that rubbery feel to it which is fine with me.
only complaint is a slight orange peel texture (look) to it.
FYI the Cyber85 still works, just ordered the full body skin for $1.60
Just ordered 3 body kits for $4. Cyber85 still works!

Just received the Zizo bolt cover case. It looks nice but that is about it. I did a short Youtbe video and left a review on Amazon. I was going to leave it at that but the return/exchange policy was so bad I wanted to share this with you guys. Overall the case feels like cheap plastic. For the price I wasn't expecting much so that was not the reason for my return. The kickstand does not sit flush on my particular case. When the kickstand is closed only one side sits flush. I figured they would send me a prepaid label so I could return it in hopes that the replacement wouldn't have the same issue. The box itself came in a flimsy bag. the bag was intact but the box was torn. just a heads up guys!!!
One thing I want to mention is that I wish companies would make a standard and a premium case. All the 10 to $20 look and feel cheap. I am going to get a real leather case for it but I wish someone would make a rugged case made out of hard rubber/plastic and metal.

Maybe it was one bad case in the bunch. I have been playing with my kickstand to see if it goes in flush all the time and it does. I got the orange one. It is a nice color and case. The screen protector that came with it is pretty good too.
I figured it was just a faulty unit and figured they would have no problem replacing it. They are making new pay for return shipping and for a box to return it in. This is the video I shot to show the issues and the confirmation of the box damage.

I didn't even get to test that out before I returned mine. I did hear they were aware of that issue and were sending out replacements. That informal came from an Amazon review I read.

I personally think that it is well made. Seems sturdy, and everything works as it should. Plus it looks nice. I don't use the holster, but it seems solid for those who will use it. Also the included tempered glass screen protector is pretty nice

Not well means that mine came out of the box defective. The kickstand does not lay flush with the case on my unit. I did an out the box video review that demonstrated the issue. As with ever product especially first production run there will be more QC issues. I just happened to get a defective until.
did you had yours replaced?

They made me pay for return shipping, tracking and a box to send it in. I am not going to risk that again.
i feel you man... hopefully new batches are all ok... but heck, you shouldn't pay a dime for the return coz of their mistake. tsk tsk
