I am using this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA12K0DC0210 Make sure you buy from IC Pro if you geti. I have had ir for awhile now and have no problems.

I've been using the Sandisk 64GB Ultra with no issues, also had no issues on the Note 2 but the Samsung 64GB is probably more reliable given all the complaints with the Sandisk on the Note 2.

sandisk is better:laugh:

NOTE 3

Definitely sandisk... been using it for some time now not one issue

SanDisk here as well used on Note 2 and now on Note 3 with no issues for 8+ months

I too am using a 64GB Sandisk Ultra, first on my HTC and now on my Note 3 with no issues, though I did format it to FAT32 instead of using exFAT before using it on my HTC & left it that way for my Note 3.

PNY makes great cards with reliable speed. I have a 32 GB not sure if they make 64 but I would look into it. I was one of the people with a corrupt sandisk card on the note 2 and the PNY replacement worked wonders

Like you I also had a 64gb card that corrupted. I got it at what I thought was a good deal, obviously the card was crap. Now I only buy the SanDisk cards (red and gray ones). On the package of the SDcard, look for a circle with a number inside it (sometimes it's on the SDcard itself). That's the cards class number. Don't know what it means really but you want class 10 cards.
I'm never going the cheap route again.

Yep, San Disc 64. Got mine at Price Club for $54 and change.

Class number is write speed. Class 10 means 10MB/s or better.

Looks like garbage. Stick with trusted brands like SanDisk, Transcend, Kingston, PNY, etc..

I agree with Pheno.menon but the price might be worth the shot. Just make sure you use Paypal. I have tried a few of these even named brand and had the file with Paypal to get my $ back. You also want to test the speed if you get get one. I had one marked as a class 6 but wasn't even a class 2. Made the phone freeze up.
I remember reading about a delay when unlocking the screen whenever an SD card was installed. Can't seem to find anything about it now though. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

I remember back in the day on the G1 when you had to run apps to sd and partition your card. I bought a supposed class 6 8gb card on eBay for cheap. It was definitely slower than my Sandisk class 2. I'm using a 32gb class 4 SanDisk I conned my buddy out of his Thunderbolt. Must say so far I like it. Try craigslist. I know I picked up a 16gb for cheap a while ago...

higher class number means higher write speeds, but that doesn't always mean better read speeds.
IMO higher class cards are better when your doing photography and video stuff
I read my card more often than write to it so a lower class card with better read speeds is better for me.

I got a sandisk 32GB class 4. It is plenty fast enough. I record pics/video to onboard phone storage anyways. I store vids, music, etc on the sd card and it reads very fast. I haven't move any apps to sd card because we have plenty onboard memory.

Best I've found for a class 10 is:
Class 10 32GB MicroSD memory card.
yikes, it's already sold out!
That cheap class 10 komputerbay on amazon has pretty bad reviews. If you stalk ebay for a few days you can find a 32gb memory card in the low 20s. I got a 16gb sandisk for $6.50 its a class 2 but speeds are almost 6. Good enough for music and random files.

SD Card purchases

Ok so im finally getting the itch to flash non TW based roms but need to buy a bigger SD card beforehand. Have heard that 64g cards have compatibility issues thus far (primarily thanks to Microsoft proprietary nonsense) with the GNII so was wondering if I should just save a few bucks and get a 32gig? or if there was a direct set of guidelines to use a 64g with lets say CM10.1?
Once I get the new SD card, whats the proper way to format, setup ExtSDtoIntSD, backup/restore original (madmacks?), etc..
I know im asking for a lengthy all in one response but I will reward anyone who can cover all the bases for me as I havent done anything remotely as turbulent as this and dont want to experience similar issues that others have reported

Just buy a 64gb one and format it to Fat and you are good to go. Ext format is troublesome with some roms. I never had any problem with Fat formatted cards. I run tw roms, cm 10, cm 10.1 no problem

Do you mean SanDisk? Out of all of the memory cards that I have bought those are the ones that have lasted for me, maybe its just bad luck or something. I have a 16gb SanDisk card last through 4 phones and its now in my 3ds. I'm currently running a 64gb SanDisk card in my note 2 and it works perfectly.

On the contrary, my 64GB class 10 Sandisk, which I picked up from Radio Shack for $39.99, is working perfectly. I simply threw it in the phone, and loaded it up, with zero issues.

Micro SD Card Problems

I seem to be having trouble with my SANDISK 32GB Class 10 micro SD card. When I first got the Note II in November, I had a PNY card that was giving me trouble, so I got the SANDISK card to replace it. it's been reliable until this morning, in that the card lost all data, and even after reformatting it, it seems to work for about 10 minutes, thenphone does not recognize it. It's been trouble free for almost 3 months.
I seem to read that these SD cards on the Note II is extremely unreliable in general. Perhaps I need to switch brands. What would the very very very best brand of the micro SD card would you recommend? What micro SD card would be the most durable? I've always thought that SANDISK was good, but how about other brands? I'd like to keep using a 32GB Class 10 card if possible. I'm looking to use a card that will last more than 3 months.
Also, I'm completely stock on my phone...as I did not do any rooting.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. BTW...I love the Note II!!
Thanks,
Mike

Contcted through their website first, then called their customer service number for their site. It will go faster if you tell them it is mounting and un mounting in your phone and doing the same on your computer. Because my computer would register it, I they wanted to wait and see if it would fail on my mac. I believe the response to my online query through their site got me response to send it back. They sent me a packing label and everything.
Sorry to ramble, but go through their site and you will have a new one in about 7 days.
If none of this made sense, sorry, I'm tired. Pm me questions and I will do my best to be more clear. Good luck.

I've been having this problem as well. I figured it was just an issue with the phone because the card works ekse where. One thing I've noticed is when it says the sd card has been removed I can go into my files and pull up what I need. I just can't go directly into the app to open it (I.e. gallery or music player).

I have tried everything they suggest to fix it, multiple reformats, both internal and with a computer. Once it starts doing that, it won't stop. It's the card, not sure what, but it's just a bad card.

The complaints youve seen are not of genuine Sandisk products. Ive been using Sandisk cards for over 10 years now and not once have I ever encountered a problem. In the extreme event that the card may fail I feel Sandisk service and warranty are second to none..
GT N7105 with XDA Premium......that is all......
I had a genuine 64gb SanDisk. It failed after 4 months. Their service was good, they replaced it, but I cannot trust it in my phone anymore.
Got a 64gb Samsung instead. It comes with a10 year warranty.

No there are many fake cheaper memory cards out there which tell you storage of 32gb but are actually 8gb or less and they tell brand is kingston or scandisk but its not

Ive have only ever used Sandisk from my first droid phone till now in every configuration and have never had one fail. I always buy them from the local Frys because its convenient.
i also have a sandisk 64 gb class 10 works very well although sometimes it transfer files slowly.
purchase any.. any brand card can die on note2. just try your luck and before purchasing do check your device goes into deep sleep and remove unwanted wakelocks. some unwanted wakelocks have killed (well it may be in just my case) 3 64 gb sandisk card but last one is working so far after i removed the wakeloks.
