Hey guys , I bought this from the HTC accessory store and is good .. the sound levels are barely different from the direct plugged in headphones . Battery life is alright for me . Range ? Yeah it's pretty okayish doesn't distort easily .
I decided to make it one touch connect and disconnect .
So I just pasted a NFC tag on its back and later colored it black . I did open the Bluetooth reciever to get the nfc tag inside it but sadly it did not work half of the times (due to the thickness of plastic). So I stick it outside .
I paired it my phone and then made two tasks on nfc task launcher .
1. To turn off Bluetooth once the headset disconnects
2. To turn on Bluetooth and connect to the headset when nfc tag is touched to the back of the phone .
So I just have to tap the Bluetooth receiver to my phone's back and it gets connected and paired within 5 seconds . And when I switch off the headset Bluetooth powers down on its own ..
Only problem is I have to turn on the Bluetooth reciever and then tap it . I wish only tapping it could work but it ain't possible .

manos libres = handsfree
update: it doesnt even work as hands free.
When it is connected to A2DP then you should have a small headphone icon on the top bar. If it is not there then you won't hear anything through the headphones.
You need to test the headphones on another device or test another A2DP headset.
You could also try BatteryStatusPlugin which via the options can place a small bluetooth icon in the taskbar at the bottom, and when you click on this it gives the option to reconnect to A2DP headphones. I use this whenever mine becomes disconnected as it saves me having to turn them off and on again.
The 'Ebay' word has me slightly worried for you though!
If it's possible, I would try to update (or downgrade, even) the headset firmware. I once had this problem with my Jabra 8010 and that was the only way I got round it.
While shopping for headsets this afternoon, I found myself chatting with one of the sales in an audio shop for a while. Described the problem to him, how any earphones with an inline mic automatically sound "radio-y" unless the button is pressed down. Immediately he pulled out a plug and told me it's because manufacturers might have switched the positives and negatives, and that this plug can "switch" it back. He sold it to me for around US$4 (Might have been ripped off, but I was too happy to have found a solution to care).
Tested with (my brand new shiny) Skull Candy Full Metal Jacket. Button works in answering calls and mic seems to work as well. Weirdly, mic only works in native call, but not skype calls. (Still need more testing on that) Only play/pause is supported in DoubleTwist (not tested on other audio players), and next/previous tracks don't seem to work. Combo was probably recognized (otherwise music would have stopped, I'd imagine), I guess that's software problem now.
Yeah, I know I'm not saying much helpful here, but that might be something that you would want to look for. "switching positives and negatives". Not sure what that means myself, but meh, it works!

It seems to be a common problem specific to Samsung models. I'm wondering if they have fixed it in their new devices.
I'm on an SGS4G now, and waiting to get the Note 2 when it's launched here in the U.S
Here's the scenario:
I have my phone mounted on my dash in my truck. Listening to podcasts by running out of the 3.5 headphone jack and plugged into the aux. input on my dash stereo. If at this point I have the bluetooth connected, then the audio only comes out of my bluetooth. If I don't have BT connected, then the audio comes out the truck speakers.Which is good. However, when I get an incoming call, I have to
a. Unplug 3.5 from phone
b. power on BT headset
c. press BT power button in toggle bar on phone
d. wait for them to scan and connect
thus missing the phone call.
From what I have found online, Samsung is the only company that has this issue. It seems like with HTC, Lg etc. the phone has an option for the user to change in settings to change to bluetooth on incoming call automatically.
Can anyone confirm if this is an issue with the Note 2?
Thanks~
Disconnect "Media Audio" from the settings for your Bluetooth headset and you can get audio out via the headphone port, and still have calls routed to your BT headset.
Regards,
Dave

I've got one right now that works nicely, except my phone doesn't disconnect from it when I leave my car and go into my apartment. If it runs out of battery power, it does not turn on automatically. I plan on buying another that powers on automatically and ripping out or killing the battery so that it only stays on when getting powered on by the car.
I'd like one that:
Turns itself on after losing power
Auto Connects to my phone
Has a built in speaker (instead of using the car's speakers)
I'd prefer it to have suction cups to mount on the windshield, but I can always easily attach it myself.
I'd prefer no voices telling me it's powering on/connecting
I thought I found one that would auto turn on with power as it has a physical switch to power on, but then saw this youtube video and think the voice would get very annoying very quickly. It depends on how loud the voice actually is in person I guess.

I recommend JABRA Speakerphone. Most of them has many feature like auto connect, auto on-off, etc.
Jabra FREEWAY Bluetooth Speakerphone
Jabra DRIVE Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone
Jabra TOUR Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone
Hopes help.

As always we welcome new & cool things around the world, while surfing on net i found out this .....seems cool haa!!.....So I thought I should share with you....afterall we are technology lovers.
OVEVO launched their next smart gadget as OVEVO Q8. Lets start the intro.
Well, It's usually illegal to answer a phone call while driving, people would go for an additional bluetooth headset. Ovevo makes the most outyour car charger by applying a button-like magnetic bluetooth headset on it.

You could just leave the Ovevo Q8 in the cigarette lighter, and bluetooth headset charges automatically. Besides, The headset will be automatically turned on whenthe car starts, and turned off when the engine stops.
It offers the operation that couldn't be easier. Press theonly button to answer and hang up by putting it back to the charger.
A sa car charger, it supports all types of electronics, Android, iPhones, tablets,PCs etc. The Built-in intelligent IC detection protects your devices from overcurrent, over voltage, leakage, and short circuit. It automatically chooses a fast and most efficient mode to charge.
