for increasing system space uninstall unwanted system apps
you can do so by using root uninstaller if you have rooted phone
for increasing performance use scripts like fly on mod and crossbreeder
good luck :good::good:

[Q] Voodoo Control Lagfix Changes

Phone: SGS (GT-I9000)
Firware: 2.3.3
Baseband: I9000XXJVO
Kernal: 2.6.35.7-I9000XWJVH-CL184813 / [email protected] #Dark_Core_2.4 / Mon May 16 EEST 2011
Build: DarkyROM JVH v10.1
I downloaded and installed Voodoo Control from the market and under Voodoo LagFix / Lagfix Preferences it has the following:
Ext4 conversion : Checked
Ext4 /system: unChecked
Lagfix debug mode: Unchecked
is it safe to check Ext4 /system - ON and reboot the phone.
Will this wipe my data or will everything still be there???
Also, will it make the phone faster?
My phone is running really well and I don't want to take a risk if there is no benefit.
In 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 firms RFS is fast enough ... For me there is no difference

yes you can enable it. it will not delete any data. make sure you have at least 200MB of free space on your internal sdcard. but i think this is checked from voodoo before converting to ext4.
yes it will speed up your phone.
Thanks
Did the change and all is working really well.

hi,
is there a kernel flash for 2.3.5, cf-root?
On the "Project Voodoo" website is just the kernel version for Froyo...

Go in your build.prop and search for something like screen.dpi or whatever anyway it should be 160 from the start change it to something like 140 and reboot then apply the theme

Do you know how to use root explorer? If not then:
Download root browser lite and go to the root folder (contains system, sys, sbin and some other silly folders).
Go in system and at ther botton there should be a file named build.prop, open it with a text editor. Then start looking for a line like this "ro.sf.lcd_density=160" change the 160 to 140 save && reboot. after you can apply your theme. If you dont like the layout you can always change back to 160 and your theme should be still applied.

[Q] I9195 - Can anybody extract the originial sounds from the original ROM ?

Hello Everybordy,
I've recieved my brand new Galaxy S4 mini with it originial Samsung ROM (I9195XXUBMJ7 all exact data are specified here after **).
After only one week of use, I've rooted the phone and the day after, I said good bye to the Samsung ROM to install the last stable ROM CM10.2.
I only appreciated 2 or 3 stuffs from the previous ROM such as the notification sounds (whistling sounds or original musics) and a lense halo effect when unlocking the screen...
If you have any idea about how I could retrieve or download the original SGS4m sounds ?
If you have any idea about how I could retrieve the Smasung screen unlock animation ?
==> I would thank you very much !!!
Best Regards
Alex

Hello Yannick,
Thanks for your answer, I knew the path but obviously, the installation of the CM10.2 ROM erased the data included into this folder...
Any other idea ? maybe somenone with the original Samsung ROM with a Rooted phone could extract all the data contained into the folder / system / media / audio ?
Many thks for your help

Grom V-line

Hi All.
I am new to XDA so please be gentle and I need some help.
I have a GROM V-Line system installed and it has been giving me hell these last 11 months and I am unable to get a refund from the buyer. It is android powered and uses a custom rom etc. I was wondering if anyone out there has any knowledge of these units and can guide me through a way to maybe update the system to remove custom ROMs so I can use it as a normal android type device.
The current set up is running on Android 5.1.1
Kernel version: 3.10.0 [email protected] #11
Build number: Lite_VL1.6.0.0
Not sure if there is anything I could, I am ready for throwing this out of my motor now.
Please help.

Hi Ta,
I installed the Vline VL2 in my Lexus two weeks ago and initially had issues.
Here's my versions out of the box.
System update is Android 8.1 with last security patch dated Jan 5, 2019 and won't update further.
Kernel: (gcc version 6.3.q 20170404 (Linaro GCC 6.3-2017.05))
[email protected] #3
Fri Mar 19 05:27:15 PDT 2021
Vline shows VCore: V20VL3.37.0.0
VBase: 32.38 (L22)
No further updates available.
DashLinq version: 5.5.2.5
Knob Helper version: 1.0
WebView Shell version: 1.0
---
I was initially pissed too but after several resets my system is pretty stable.
One item that remains an issue is crashing when I have any SD card installed...As long as no SD card installed then system runs pretty good.
Several issues via launch controller were fixed with a $1.99 replacement launcher named AGAMA by altercars.ru. https://altercars.ru/#about
