hi guys i'm a newbie for changing my device ROM, want to ask some help and hoping for your kind answers
my device (XPERIA U) is rooted and have the cwm recovery
i'm planning to install this ROM from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40654231&postcount=638
and i notice that the step by step procedure that after installing the ROM, i must also install the update package for st25a
but my device (sony xperia u model is st25i, Build number 6.1.1.B.1.54), is it ok to install that update package?the st25a?
please give me the step by step procedure for installing the ROM..
also can i back up my application and restore it after installing the custom ROM?

thanks i unlock the bootloader, installed the cwm and rooted my phone, now i whant to install a custom rom , yhat you will recomande for daily use and i need that cid? to install a custom rom ?

Hi folks, I would like to install the [KK_4.4.2] PHD rom on a Xperia Mini Pro 10 but I can't seem to find a link to download a compatible version of CWM , my device is on stock 4.0 ICS but it's rooted and I was able to install an older version of CWM on it only which gave me an error (error 7) when I tried to instal KK. I already asked on the ROM thread however the developer did not respond to it yet.
Any help finding the download link and instructions on how to install it is much appreciated.

hey the rom you want to install needs custom kernel. (its inside zip) all custom kernel have recovery INSIDE. so dont worry about CWM, just flash that kernel 1st

Hi buddy, I checked the zip contents and couldn't find "boot.img" inside, wasn't that supposed to be the kernal containing CWM?

Stop everything that you are doing.
You are in the wrong forum. Installing this ROM will brick your device for good. This forum has all the stuff for Xperia Arc phone, you don't have it so you shouldn't be here at all.

Hey guys i still haven't done nothing but i'm here to ask what to do. Here is my problem :
Currently on my phone i have installed :
- Resurrection Remix v 5.1.4 with a DarkRaven Kernel.
The version of android is : 4.4.2 which is KitKat
I want to go back to the old Xperia Ultimate HD 3.0.2 cause i remember it was great in graphic and in performance without battery drain ( a problem that i'm currently facing).
What do i have to do to go back to ICSand install Ultimate HD 3.0.2 since right now i'm using kit kat?
Another but little problem :
-I remember i used a vengeance kernel so if you can help me which one i'll have to use would be great.

Flash stock rom ics first, root it, cwm and then follow the instruction for instalation what rom do u want to use

i have some basic doubts. Please do guide me on the following as i am a no voice in this area on how to flash a custom roms, and refrain using some hard terms and make this process as simple as possible and would appreciate if it is a step by step guide
so my queries are as follows.
1. i have successfully rooted my MICROMAX CANVAS 4. Now i want to install a nice and good CUSTOM ROM on it. i want the list of all good and bug free custom roms available for my micromax canvas 4.
2.how to flash a new rom on my device.
3. how to backup the current rom? and how to restore it?
4. were is the path i mean were will i save the backuped original rom on my phone>? ( internal or external memory) please do guide me the path.
5. in the same way were will i backup the downloaded custom rom?
6. after downloading the rom, what are the step y step procedure to install the custom rom?
7. if i dont like the custom rom, what is the procedure to install back my original rom ?
8. just suggest me some good custom rom as i am really weak in knowing one.
