Are you Rooted ? What Rom are you running ? Are you storing your Nandroid Backups on the SD Card, or Internal Memory ?
I did a factory reset and also had wiped data etc but get the notification that I am running low on internal space

well its a different device and more then likely a different file system. my answer was posted for the op.you could always drag everything over to desktop from internal. then boot into recovery do a full system wipe. including internal. should free up andything. but you would have to do a fresh install.

So my internal SD was accidentally wiped, I really need a CWM backup I had in there. Is there any good file recoveries? All I've tried failed. Am I screwed? thanks
Sad to say but yes. Just about everyone who flashes has been where you are. Experience teaches you to not only have a cwm backup but to use dropbox or picassa for photos, your laptop for music and your google or Gmail account for contacts . Sorry this doesn't help you but it will anyone else that reads the thread.

Okay thanks. I'm fine for music and photos, mostly my titaniumbackups that I really miss
Yes, you are screwed. There are a few other threads about this. I lost some pictures on my Xoom due to the same thing.

I'm not sure if this will work, but I took classes on forensic recovery. There is a program called FTK imager. It's free and an amazing piece of software. You connect the card to your computer and perform an image. The program takes a bit getting used to, but after the image, open the image in ftk if it doesn't automatically and you should see your typical file structure. You can then recover files that haven't been overwritten.

Well crap.. I originally thought you said external... You may still give it a shot mounting your phone on your computer and trying it then. I've never tried it with a phone before..

I'm having an issue with my external sd, it's only 4gb. I formatted to fat32 and the phone acts like it wants to load, but Doesn't do anything.
This is my first time with this phone running anything aosp so I'm kind of new to this.
Any idea or suggestions? I'm on liquid smooth rc7 w/ ktoonz kernel btw.

Yeah I tried that. I even tried the sdcard.org site but for some reason my sd card wasn't recognized! I have a mac so I just used disc utility. The funny thing is, I formatted the card, dragged my ring tones to the card and tested. They showed up, so I dragged the rest of it over. My stuff disappeared and wasn't seen in the gallery, but was in root explorer.
Is there a folder or file or something that determines the formatting? I have a lost.dir folder that comes up and I have no idea why.

Ok, the lost.dir is normal.
Go into app manager, clear cache and data for Media Storage, then reboot and wait a few min for it to rescan.

Thanks, I'll have to give that a try. I'm going to give Frosty JB a try and see what happens. Hopefully it works out like I'm hoping it will.
Hello guys, I just got my N7100 yesterday, Its a real awesome device, seriously !!
However, I had HTC Desire C before N7100, And I used to put games sd data on sd card/Android/obb
but on N7100 I have to put sd data on the phone memory, which is phone/Android/obb for example
whenever i try to put sd data on sd card it doesn't get read, like the phone reads sd data only from phone memory and it doesn't support reading sd files from sd card !
For example Amzaing Spider-man has a SD data of 1.4gb, It should be putted on SD card/Gameloft, But when I did that, the device didn't read them .. but it worked when I moved the SD data to Phone/Gameloft
and the same thing with obb files, etc
Still, The sd card works great with no problems at all !!
( my device is not rooted )
And thx in advance <3
Unfortunately the device doesn't support moving games to external sd card. If you have noticed there isn't the option move to sd card in the apps settings. There are 2 ways to solve the issue but require root. If someone knows something more he should help.
I've been *****ing about this since I got my Note 2. It's complete madness and I believe harmful to android in many ways. The really annoying thing is that no-one mentions it when you buy the phone. Samsung even gloats about the GN2 and S3's expandable memory!!! They don't mention that is only good for private files and films you may have pirated! You can not ever have off-line Spotify playlist on the SD card. I filled my SD (within 1GB) in 10 days.
Maybe Google's plan is a return to the dark ages. Maybe they will start selling games on memery cards or more likely they are planning to sell Android powered game consoles!!
Consoles that would not sell if we all had the equivalent in our pockets with expandable memories and which just sat on a shelf after a 2 year contract and the launch of a new flagship.
Wow !! .. It sounds like a major problem, Could I get a solution even if I root my phone ? .. ( But with a step-by-step guide please ) ^_^
Update :
How about this app ?
Does it work on Note II ?
If so, Could anyone please give me a tutorial starting from rooting my phone until using this app ?
Sorry for being such a newbie but I really don't know a thing about rooting
and thx for everyone
Root and use gl to sd(search on play) its very easy to use i dont think u need a guide. Just press menu key and click move data.

when I try to install GL TO SD i get "insouciant storage available" - I seem to have lots of space deleting applications did not help...
Anyone know where the amazing spider man and modern combat files are? They're taking up a crap load of space and I can't find the data files so I can permanently delete them.
Download a file manager, open it.
Go into Android > obb
They should be in obb
If they arent in the obb, they will be in Android > data

if you're still want to play them, I would suggest using something like DirectBind or FolderMount.
Are you allowed to delete sdcard/0? It says it is taking up about 17 gb and I think it is just a duplicate of the sdcard folder.

If you run any CM based ROM's, it'll just show up again. If you run only stock then you can get rid of it.

That is a good question.
I'm on stock at the moment too. I use estrong file explorer and it shows sdcard/0 as my main. And storage/sdcard/0 below that.
All my work is done through Sdcard/0, so I assume/storage/sdcard/0 is the one you can delete.
Honestly I don't know though. I usually just wipe it and start from scratch.

Id say your best bet would be to backup one or the other to a desktop/laptop and delete one. So if you happen to get rid of some stuff you need you can still get it back later.
