Hi all.
I received my SIII yesterday, so will be giving my trusty Desire to my mum.
Because of this, I'd like to take the phone back to stock. I'm currently running the InsertCoin ROM.
How do I do this? All comments will be greatly appreciated
Thank you in advance

Well I messed it up first time round and had the black screen with the 4 exclamation marks!
To fix it, I downloaded fast commander, downgraded the hboot and then just ran the latest RUU. Simple
Took about 10 minutes in total

This is stock germany/european rooted firmware for P936. It does not have operator bloatware and has extended language list. ICS version comes with new baseband, that not 100% compatible with P930, so 2G may not work. You will need another one, for example from Bell 20f.
Links:
P936-O2-20c-CWM-Flashable.zip
P930-Bell-20f-Baseband-CWM-Flashable.zip
Also for P930 users attached firmware, that already contains 20f baseband P930-20f-RUS-CWM-Flashable.zip
tnax for the rom
plz put some screenshots in menus and aboutphone and added features of this rom in P930

Use for 2 days, very stable, don't have any strange problem (charge to dead, camera halt, auto reboot)
but the life of battery usage much faster when compare with CM9, CM10
Anyone have any idea, is there many build in software from LG lead to use the battery

That's not a noob question... it's a "I didn't read the thread because the answer I'm asking is literally the first sentence in the thread" question.

Thanks. The only reason I asked because I flashed a baseband for miui and I'm trying to go back to a stock based ROM
Sent from my Optimus G Pro using Tapatalk
I'm trying to flash the baseband for the LG Optimus G Pro AT&T version using this file (unfortunately, I'm a new user so I can't post the URL here).
Unfortunately, it errors out during flash:
set_perm: some changes failed
E: Error in /data2/media/clockworkkmod/backup/E980_Baseband.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
What permission does it need? Does anyone have working baseband for AT&T?
Thanks

Thanks for the response. Actually, that's what I have on my phone right now but this baseband causes me to loose connectivity periodically and there's no LTE. It would be great if I can get the stock baseband. Actually, I won't mind as long as it works reliably.
Thanks

Have you changed your APN? If not, change it to ATT LTE pta if you're on AT&T.

Just re-read your first post. If it did not properly install, you can use the LG flash tool to get back to complete stock. Maybe try re downloading the modem and try flashing that before though...

It only has one option -- "att ap.cingular". Hmm.. maybe the flash didn't work properly. I'm using clockworkmod 6.0.3.8. I don't have much experience flashing baseband but the flash went through without any issue.
I just flashed this again successfully but still getting connection dropped. The installed baseband listed is APQ8064/MDM9x15M. Is this the right version?

So even though the flash reported successful, that doesn't seem to be the case then. I am using CWM 6.0.4.7. Any suggestion on how to get this fixed?

No, it was successful. You just flashed the wrong one. It needs to be the BM9615A-CEFWMAZM modem.

I downloaded one file that has this name: E980-MODEM-BM9615A-CWM.zip. I flashed it with both CWM and Teamwin that went through just fine but I'm still on APQ8064/MDM9x15M. I don't know why it's not flashing correctly.

I got tired of it dropping and having to remove my google account and readd it to solve the problem of PlayStore not able to download so I flashed the phone back to stock. I've tried just about every ROM out there for this phone but they're all unstable. Stock, although has some AT&T junk, still runs the best with good batery life.
Will have to wait for the next stock ROM to be released.

Don't be too hasty in forming your opinion as the KitKat Roms are way better than stock JB 4.1.2
Ya... For sure. BAM, Vanir, CandyKat, AICP, CM11 are all extremely stable. Just as stable as stock for me.

You can use the e988 ROMs on an e980 with no issues. As for the baseband, you might have to flash the BM9615a baseband, or suffer from no deep sleep

Again I'm new to the device so don't know everything and all variants in one forum is very confusing. I guess when you don't have a working recovery or wanna go back to 100% stock
Use this recovery, here. Been using it since it's release and have had no flashing problems.

Flash it in whatever recovery you're using then reboot into recovery and you're good to go.

I know with the optimus g, there are kitkat recovery and prior to kitkat recovery (excuse my lack of fancy terms)... Kitkat ones can't flash 4.3 and below roms, non-kitkat recoveries can't flash kitkat. Is it the same situation with G Pro ?
