[Q] Wind/mobilicity note 2 may work on bell/rogers?

Hello all,
I was wondering if I want to unlock my windmobile note 2 and have it to work on bell or fido /rogers...
Will it work without rooting (just unlocking)? And will it work as LTE?
Regards
I'm also interested in this, please.
Yes it will work. I'm on Virgin mobile with the wind variant.

With lte too?
Yep, LTE works. Using Virgin Mobile on WIND T889V, flashed with T-Mobile radio.
Did you have to go through the null IMEI and EFS/IMEI injection fix associated with flashing a different radio?

Does anyone have an update on this? I am using the T-mobile MK7 baseband and can only get Edge using my Rogers SIM.

TMO if you want carrier branded apps and I.D. information...
ATT if you don't care...
But radio and RIL files Will be critical in getting the full service obviously...
And those files would be found in the TMO rom...(for ril files mostly)...
Radio image can be flashed over an ATT rom anyway of course....g
Thanks for the help will do

You would root according to the At&t forums, and flash At&t Roms
Ok thanks for the info

Question: what should be done...

I unlocked my T-Mobile Note 2 and successfully changed carrier to Straight Talk using AT&T cell. My question is once the Kitkat update rolls out, do I have to install a T-Mobile rom or an AT&T rom? Or is there any alternative? Please advise.

Doesn't matter. AT&T or N7105 are fine. Stick to the T-Mobile modem and the rest is details. The AT&T & N7105 communities are fairly active.
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
Am I interpreting this correctly, that you can just flash the att rom for a N7105 on the t889?

This morning I had some problems with my phone, so I had to reset the phone and reinstall everything. Thus far everything is good, I am more interested to know about AT&T rom on note 2, can we install it?

as long as the rom doesn't flash a new bootloader or modem (only a few do). you can flash at&t or n7105 roms
Nice to know... Thanks
