Im not sure if this is appropriate, but Im doing it anyway
Im not a developer and a thread hasnt been started but slimbean just added m7vzw as a supported device. It was by far my favorite rom on my galaxy s3 and ive got it up and running now and its great.
build 1.9 weekly is up on the site below. Enjoy!

I wish all developers would at the very least create a thread in the development thread linking to their 3rd party site for their ROM. I'm not a fan of having to go to multiple sources to get a ROM.
i agree. since we might not see a thread I thought id post.
its a great rom. in my opinion anyway.

I agree. Had been using Illusion ROM but this seems snappier and more polished after a couple of hours of usage.
Did like having Voice+. Anyone know how to add it to Slim?

Hopefully they get a forum on their website running soon! I like tracking the development of a ROM!
Thanks for posting. I'd never have known about this ROM otherwise.
One question: Upon installing, everything comes up on the screen smaller than usual. I'm sure there's a fix. Can you shed any light?
Thanks again!

Hah, I like that everything is "smaller than usual".
The LCD density is set to 361 by default in this build. To change it: Settings > Interface > LCD Density. Default for this phone is 480 (which I find to be *way* too big).

Thanks for the quick reply! I'd found the LCD Density setting but I didn't know what default value was. Thanks!

Everyone makes fun of me for the tiny font sizes I use. I am taking advantage of the Lasik surgery I got 12 years ago is all.
BTW, standard densities: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/util/DisplayMetrics.html#DENSITY_DEFAULT

I can't change the LCD density because the ROM thinks I'm not rooted. Installing SU and updating the binaries didn't fix it. Finding root access fails. I was coming from CM 10.2.

Sorry, no ideas as to why that's happening. Could be that SuperSU install from recovery changed something around and it's managing those calls.

Hey folks, I've had a report from the Play Store that my app is crashing on Glides, but I can't get a log from the users. If any of you would be so good to test out the function and see if you have issues, and then grab me a log of the crash, I would be really grateful.. Will increase your thanks meter of course.
My app thread is here and the latest release is in post #3
When the app opens there is the option at the top to go to Android TTS settings. Apparently, clicking on this causes a crash.
Thanks in advance

Thank you If root is detected, su access is requested for advanced functions. Full busybox commands by voice are in the making!
I downloaded the one from the appstore and that one is working well as well. Got it to learn my name and tell me the time and toggle WIFI on and off. Working fine so far. Yes it does ask for SU. No crashes so far. Is the beta any different?
No problems here. Runs smoothly and recognizes commands.
Running stock rooted.
Tested it on a used Glide I just bought and haven't had time to root yet. Running stock 2.3.5 that was factory reset a couple of days ago. No problems accessing any menu or sub-menu item. Guess I just haven't had time to put enough crap on it to make it unstable.

Thanks guys, it's appreciated - strange that the crash can't be replicated - there must be some other issues on the devices that are having problems.
The beta release is still a while away and will contain many more advanced features for full device control by voice. It's strange bug reports like this that slow me down! At least I can move on from this one now.
Thanks again, your thanks meters have increased.

Maybe the user who posted about the crash removed the Pico service

1 one feature I would love to see is the ability to add something in the calendar via voice. I hear Siri can do that and would love to see that on Android.

I should have code to catch that and stop the crash - Why I'm even more puzzled that a crash could happen at all....

This feature is working well on my test devices - it'll make an appearance in a couple of releases time, after I've had chance to test it on multiple users calendars and multiple calendar apps.
Ok I just tested my theory. With Pico TTS uninstalled it tries to open settings, which freezes and FCs, and it dumps you right back in your app. Your app does not crash. Honestly if this is the bug, I'd say it's user error and not your fault.

Good work Thank you. I assume the crash also may extend to the Pico engine (or perhaps any other) having installation corruption of some kind.
Thanks again to everyone who replied and tested, it's really appreciated. I think I can safely say 'not guilty!'.

I know it has something to do with the overflow menu, but is a way to make the menus open at the bottom instead of the top? every other android device I've had has opened the menu at the bottom not the top.
It actually depends on the app. If you press the menu key when on the homescreen, the menu appears at the bottom. If you do it on the Play Store, it appears at the top.
If you want all the menus to appear at the bottom, you have to change a value in the build.prop.

Anybody got any other Ideas on how to get this working?
So far the only Rom that actually has this setup is PACman

My favorite rom thus far is SlimBean so if anybody can get this to work right please let me know.

Screen Filter is an app that can disable the backlight of the softkeys. Set it to auto-start at boot and you should be good. I know its not a direct fix but its a low impact app that shouldnt effect battery life or operation.

Q&A for [ROM] [5.0.2] [AOSP Grogg's Way]
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [ROM] [5.0.2] [AOSP Grogg's Way]. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.

Browser and Gallery are forked projects from cm12 and will both be updated in next update. Google has abandoned those apps for their branded counterparts. Factory releases do not come with either as a result, but I don't like "Pictures" as my only gallery and prefer to have an alternative to "Chrome".

That is not a drain. Its a count of unaccounted/over counted stats. Its perfectly normal and is disabled in release builds. I had a dev setting in previous builds to disable it (which will be back in today's release), but all that does is hide it like the release builds...
Hey!
I have two questions.
1. I was playing with "invert colors" option in the accessibility menu. Now it shows up in the toggles menu, won't go away after restarting. Any solution? I know it's a tiny problem.
2. How can I access "app info" from recent apps in 5.1? I've enabled the developer options and I long-press on the application icon, but no luck. I could do this on stock 5.0.2. it's useful I think. But I haven't tested this on your 5.0.2. Is this because of your ROM or google has changed something in 5.1?
I have a Deb with your 5.1 rom (build date March 12th)

1. Manually change your device date back 30 days or more, run 'invert colors' again, then restore back to proper date. Added quick settings are on a date timer and will disappear if not re-used.
2. I'm not certain that app info has ever been accessible from "recent apps" tiles. Long pressing on any app in the app drawer will give you 'Uninstall' and 'App info' options below the status bar.
