Hi there !
I have a problem with my phone, this afternoon i finally decide to get on CM 10.2, it seems that everything went well but i have the pop-up "com.android.phone has stopped" which pop again and again every second. I tried to wipe data from the recovery and with the option on the settings, and i also tried to put the phone on airplane mode and then switch it off but i still have the problem.
I downloaded CM, gapps and CWM with the links in the official CM10.2 thread and i read carefully the instructions, i don't think that i have forgot something.
Does anybody have an idea for this problem?

flashed the boot.img? fastboot erase cache after flashing the boot.img? wipe cache and dalvik in recovery after flashing the rom?
Yes, boot.img flashed, wiped cache + dalvik + data, but i don't use fastboot erase cache, isn't it the same thing as wipe cache? Is it important to wipe right after i flashed the ROM ? I think i did it after i flash boot.img

It is vital. I actually fastboot erase cache, before and after I flash anything through fastboot, and I never have any problems.
Hmm ok, does I have to get back on stock or i can reflash the ROM and the boot.img directly, like on the official thread?

you can reflash, but do a full wipe in recovery first,
format cache, system, data and sdcard.
copy the rom back onto the card.
fastboot erase cache, flash the boot.img from the rom.zip and fastboot erase cache again.
then back to recovery and flash the rom and you should be good to go
I still have the pop-up =/ I exactly did what you wrote. By the way, it's the last nightly that i flashed.
What version (date please) of gapps do you use? Could it be you're running gapps for 4.2 on a 4.3 rom?

I downloaded the package for CM10.2.x, 20130813.
EDIT: hboot 1.72.0000, don't know if it can help.

That should be the right gapps for CM10.2. About hboot I don't know exactly but I think it should be supported.
I just flashed the last nightly, and the pop-up don't pop anymore ! But i can't activate wifi =/

hi, had my hox for a few weeks and all been smooth till today, i changer my rom to viper and flashed boot using the viper flasher. got bored of the rom and switched to jelly bean, followed steps properly. flashed boot erased cache, the only thing i did different was wipe dalvic or davlic. now i cant get anything to boot i can get to bootloader and recovery fine ive tried flaashing several roms but they all get stuck at the jtc boot screen? what have i done ive tried flashing superwipe and clearing everything and stil nothing? help please
A quick search could have solved your issue. But here is some help since a new thread has already been open. Re download the rom and boot.img and check the MD5 values. Get into fast boot and do commands:
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Then get into recovery and wipe system, data, cache and dalvic cache. The install rom. Wipe cache and dalvic cache again to be safe. If the rom doesn't boot then you aren't following my instructions properly.

i have been running the kiss kernel for a while now, last night i tried to flash the hellboy kernel and retern to my pacman rom. but it still boots, i have cleared all my caches formated everything but my sd card, have tried flashing all kiss kernels and multipul hellboy kernels, but never gets passed the boot screen.. any ideas?
i managed to get it to the android is upgrading.. starting apps thing, but it gets stuck there.
Did you wipe anything when you flashed the kernel? If the kernel was for jellybean it shouldn't hang like that... not sure?

yeah i always wait a little while, i have chosen latest kernel, has not made a difference, i have gotten better results using an older one of the titanium kiss, hellboy doesnt seem to work with my phone for some reason
Did you use the command
fastboot flash boot boot.img or just
fastboot boot boot.img?
Also, after flashing it,does the terminal say something like this?
Okay.
Okay.
Finished.
Edit:also, see that you are flashing the kernel in the fastboot screen(where it says 'fastboot usb'),and not in the Hboot(bootloader) screen.

i am using the all in one tool kit to flash my kernel, yes i am in fastboot, a window pops up runs through code and my phone reboots, i have changed the kernel on it before, but for some reason this time it wont boot properly at all, the phone is currently at the " android is upgrading" screen, it was the starting apps box with the spinning circle
if you say that it is stuck at android is upgrading - that's because the dalvik works and it is deodexing your gapps.
so i suppose you flashed kernel, flashed rom and gapps and rebooted. well this works from time to time but you have to reboot between flashing rom and gapps.
1. download this kernel: hellboy
2. go to bootloader and flash the kernel.
3. go to recovery and: do a factory reset + wipe system - no need for wiping dalvik or cache cause factory reset does them both.
4. flash your rom
5. reboot.
6. if it boots properly, reboot to recovery and now flash GAPPS package.

My HTC One X stuck on "HTC One's Logo" every time I try to format it,
so I restore my backup which works fine and when I tried to format it the same thing happened.
Whenever I try formatting my device it stuck on the logo !!
Please I need your help, what should I do with this strange problem ??
- Updated on May 26 -
Everything was okay one month ago and I was able to format my device normally but know I can't
I tried almost everything:-
1. I formatted my device then installed the ROM & Boot.img (and I was sure that it will not help)
2. I formatted my device from ARHD Aroma installation
3. I restore my ARHD backup then formatted my device again from CWM Recovery
Tips: formatting from recovery don't touch system partition, I'm sure
What do you mean by format? You mean from custom recovery? Factory reset from bootloader?
Maybe because you delete everything ? And without sytem it won't boot.

If you Factory reset a custom rom, it will bootloop! Because there's nothing to boot beyond the logo!
1. Flash the boot.img from the nandroid backup. Then fastboot erase cache
2. Now go to recovery wipe data/cache/dalvic and then restore the nandroid backup.
3. Reboot. Let the OS load completely.
4. Go to bootloader and then do factory reset.
If your still bootlooping, then download a nandroid backup from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140 and then restore it! It will work flawlessly!
If you post your main-version, then we can also find a RUU for you?!

But I tried this lots of times before and it format only user data, and system partition remain as it is.
I forgot to say that also when I flashed ARHD and checked "wipe data partition" in Aroma, the phone also stuck.

Ok. start from zero.
Download again ARHD.
format sd card
Put ROM in Sd
Put this one in sd: http://d-h.st/kG0 (t.y for vin4yak for link)
Put boot.img in fastboot folder.
via cmd (i recomend to copy cmd into fastboot folder ((it automaticaly gives acces to that folder))) adb reboot-bootloader
type fastboot flash boot boot.img (fastboot must be in usb)
wait
reboot in recovery. install super wipe (link given)
clear catche, dalvik
install rom
clear catche, dalvik
And IF! it still got boot loop, go to bootloader and repeat fastboot flash boot boot.img command via cmd. It should work.
And after all, if it doesn't, do a full nandroid restore.
Good luck.
Formatting does only wipe cache and dalvic, you should still be able to boot. It does not get rid of Rom. I do it all the time when flashing a custom kernel. So maybe you should try as suggested above.
from my Viped out one x
Command: fastboot erase cache after flashing boot.IMG will fix it I guess. Looks like none of you do that but I always do that and never, I say never had a bootloop. And I switch ROMs weekly with wipes and all.
Hope it helps.

His question had nothing to do with flashing a boot.IMG, I've never not fast boot erase cache either. He was asking why when he hits the format button in recovery, his phone won't boot. Format in recovery simply wipes cache and dalvic so it should still boot, just like when you format after flashing the modules from a kernel.

O sorry for the misunderstanding.
So basicly OP asks "i took the fuel out of my car, why won`t it drive?"
Depends on wich recovery then cause in twrp a factory reset wipes not only cache and dalvik for sure!
From twrp site: A factory reset wipes data and cache (which includes dalvik cache). A factory reset will also wipe sd-ext and android_secure if your device has those items

Thanks all for your help but unfortunately all in vain
Before a month I was able to format without any problem, but now I can't.
I tried almost everything:
1. I formatted my device then installed the ROM & Boot.img (and I was knowing that it will not help)
2. I formatted my device from ARHD Aroma installation
3. I restore my ARHD backup then formatted my device again from CWM Recovery
All these attempts but in vain, please I need your help essentially, I need to format my device as I was doing before.
So I wanted to go to Lollipop and I happened to flash the twrp recovery for new layout(as i was getting boot loop when flashing the rom with cwm recovery)
The things i tried until now.
1. Installed twrp and formatted it to get the new layout. Wiped everything, system, cache, data, dalvik cache
2. It was supporting MTP so i transferred the roms to the device being in recovery. Installed CM 12 + gapps for lollipop.
3. Rebooted to bootloader again. flashed boot.img, and did fastboot erase cache.
4. Rebooted again and stuck at CM boot logo.
I wiped the cache, dalvik cache(actually did a factory reset in the twrp recovery) and tried installing Resurrection Remix. Again flashed the relevant boot.img too. But the same result..
Did i destroy my phone?

Yes I can enter recovery. But again I just cant get any lollipop ROM's working. I dont know whether i have to restore to kitkat(i really dont want too..
I dont get it.. Wipe dalvik cache, cache, data and then disable mtp and then enable mtp.. I mean at the end what does this do?
And in the meanwhile did you mean HTC Sync Manager for device manager. FYI I use a mac(if this helps to get into the problem). And i had flashed kitkat roms from the same without a hiccup but lollipop is failing

its hard to explain with recovery you can mount ur sdcard and put another room and install ,the easy way its to start from the begin and install clear CM12 and you will get out from bootloop that help me i was in bootloop like 3920489208420984920 times hahaha

Have you solve the bootloop issue? I am having the same problem on my International One X
thanks
Probably both of you encountered the same problem as me.
If you are S-on, you have to flash rom and kernel separately. Also, if you try to revert any changes with twrp you have to flash kernel you were using during creation of backup, and then restore backup.
In other words: your current kernel is incompatible with rom.
Mwys
Yes i am S-ON. Can you tell me what the steps are to flash the kernel? I do not have a backup.
What is did was flash New Layout TWRP, did a complete wipe, then copied the ROM and G-Apps zips to the phone, installed them and then flashed boot.img.
Thanks for the help
Yup I also tried the same. but no luck. I tried to revert back to kitkat(by installing cwm, format the storage, sideloaded the ROM and gapps, flashed the boot.img) and still again in bootloop.
Sorry for the delay. I was a lot too busy with work.
