can anyone give me the link of ftf file for lt28i jelly bean
As far as I know only the branded Rogers lt28i and unbranded lt28h have jelly bean firmware. Haven't seen an unbranded generic lt28i. Been a while since I have ran the lt28i firmware though.
Correct me if I am wrong someone please

I haven't been able to find a generic lt28i jelly bean firmware download......the Roger's version seems to work fine, but I"m having issues trying to root the phone. Is there a known way to root the Roger's lt28i? I did find something that said it work specifically, but everything I've tried doesn't seem to work.
**Edit** Tried again this morning and was able to root device.

Didn't Rogers just say they would release ICS for the arc and arc s in early September?
This is actually really confusing. Rogers and Sony Canada have two different dates for ICS; idk who's right and who's wrong.
Then again, I just flashed the generic NA firmware when it came out.

ICS is out for Rogers, just updated and re-rooted mine.
Going to check out the stock experience before flashing something stock based without the bloatware.

Release for Rogers Xperia ARC is .587 (hearing that this seems to be the build they are using for all the xperia 2011 devices they offered). I successfully rooted mine using the method on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1683957, followed post 3.
The upgrade left me pretty short for internal storage (as in updates that attempted to go through upon reboot failed due to there being 5 mb of space left). Had to do some space shuffling with Titanium. After (re)ripping out the Rogers ware, pushing the unused sony aps onto SD and integrating Davlik and updates into ROM I had a wopping 83MB of internal space.
If I decide to flash something onto it on my days off next week I'll see about posting up a clean image.
Cheers,
Does anyone have an .ftf?

Changing the rom has nothing to do with unlocking the bootloader. You need to follow the steps posted here:
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
If after checking the service menu you get bootloader unlock allowed yes, then you can unlock, if the status is missing or says no that means you wont be able to...ever.
If your Ion is the AT&T version (like mine) you are out of luck. The lt28h and i variants can be unlocked though.
I have a unlocked c6506 from Claro and it is still running 4.1 with 10.1.1.A.1.253 baseband. Claro has still not provided 4.2. and 4.3 updates plus there is too much bloatware on the device. Can someone guide me to load a stock ROM (4.3) since my bootloader is locked.

Just flash any C6506 4.3 ftf using flashtool.

I can directly flash a 4.3 FTF without going to 4.2 ? If yes, can you share a link to the stock ROM for c6506.

I think you will need to flash 4.2.2 first
I'm on mobile so can't search for you

So many ZL's in Canada
So many Xperia's who's LTE capability are only unlocked using the ZL's baseband.
YET I cannot find a Canadian ZL FTF or thread.
Please contribute thx

I used NuT's 4.3 and crash338's 4.4 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2760199 - on my Rogers ZL and my LTE seems to be working fine (on Fido).
The generic 6506 ROM works fine on LTE here in Halifax, way less junk in it vs the Bell ROM, not sure why you want a specific Canadian one

I am currently using the Generic NA 4.3 .101 no issues.... its just nice to have the stock FTF in case there is a hardware issue
