lol ... yea, u can use the 3G network of the dhd, then create a WiFi Hotspot(aka Wifi tether) from your dhd, then, by using the WLAN of the tablet connect to the internet connection of the dhd
okay now i understand
thanks for your answer !!
Just make sure your phone provider allows tethering, many don't or charge extra for it.

Xperia play like router

( I have a modem wifi but problem is the poor signal)
I want to use my mobile to amplify the signal from my home wifi.
connect my phone to the wifi network and send the same signal.
for connect my other PC ( using my phone like a bridge)
barnacle no run on xperia play
are there any option but to be functional?
"I m root user"
thks and please
I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure you can only share 3G data, not wifi from a separate router
Can't do it, but you can buy a cheap wifi repeater for under $50 US that solves your problem.

This would only be possible if the Play had 2 Wifi Adapters inside it.

Is it possible to share wifi connection using Galaxy Nexus?

There is wifi network, but only 1 device can use it.
Suppose I connect my Galaxy Nexus to that wifi, is it possible to share that to other phones?
I know that I can share 3g connection to other phones via wifi, but is it possible to share wifi via wifi?
It is possible using pc though http://www.virtualwifirouter.com/
uhhh don't think that'd be possible. You can see that if you're on WiFi and try to turn on WiFi Hotspot, it disables your WiFi.
what kinda stupid network are you connecting to that only lets one device connect?
Are you able to allow more connections by changing settings in your router?
bow chicka wow wow.

I've just thought of this off the top of my head so don't blame me if it doesn't work but it would seem feasible if;
1) First phone set to share/tether via bluetooth to 2nd phone
2) 2nd phone turns on Wifi tether
3) other devices connect to 2nd phone.
Let us know if this works as I'm not about to collect all the phones in the house to test this out hahaha.

Q. Is it possible....

Sup guys is it possible to turn my fone into a WiFi adapter so I can connect to my home internet connection via pc my wifi adapter broke yesterday when I shut the door on it

Yes it is.
Menu> Settings> More> Portable hotspot & tethering
Here you can either choose to set your phone up as a WiFi hotspot so your PC can connect wirelessly to your phone and use it’s 3G for internet connection.
Or you can use USB tethering to achieve the same internet connection but using a cable instead of WiFi. Personally I’ve had more success with this one, as I have found the WiFi Hotspot function to be very hit-and-miss.
You may find that after prolonged inactivity on the connection, it stops working and you have to stop and then re-start USB tethering for it to work. Keep the data flowing though and it seems to work just fine. Obviously take into account your 3G data plan. If you are on a unlimited plan then you are laughing.
Don’t shut your phone in a door!
Lol not teathering via mobile network I'm talking about a pc WiFi dongle adapter which I use on my pc to connect to my home boardband so I can receive full speed connection I'l post a link when I get home with a screenshot so you understand a little better thanks anyway

ok this is what im trying to do but not sure if its possible see screenshot
Answer is No. Android does not allow ad-hoc connections.
HTC does allow you to use internet through usb connection but cant share that out over wifi.
Why not just connect ps3 directly to the router?

[Q] Tethering While Connected to Wifi

Hey all, I ran into this problem earlier today while in class and was wondering if anybody has a good fix. The wifi signal in some of the rooms in some buildings here at school is relatively weak, so much so that my wireless card on my laptop has difficulty picking it up, but my phone can connect.
On my old iPhone, I used to be able to create a hotspot using Pdanet while connected to wifi, so I was not using any of my data. Do any android apps provide this or similar functionality?
Quick answer is no. I wanna say back in the day I did it with a root app.
You could use USB or Bluetooth to share the Wi-Fi internet access to your laptop

Happen to remember the name of that app? I am coincidentally rooted.
Pdanet does work, however it disables wifi before creating the hotspot so I cannot broadcast new wifi from existing wifi.
