My wife and I both purchase apps from amazon for the kids (usually the free app of the day) but she does it through her account and I do it through mine, then we dl it onto the kids tablets at a later date.
So the issue is that if my account is entered into amazon on the tablet, her purchased apps don't work and vise versa.
The way I used to get around this was using TWRP to backup the app, but that no longer seems to work as the amazon apps check whos account is entered in the amazon app before launching.
Does anyone have ideas on how to make this work? possible having two instances of amazon market on one tablet?

Not exactly sure, but maybe try the switch profiles function in titanium backup? That might work for u...

Any ideas? I purchased the 8.4 for my mom. I restored her apps from her nexus 7 the standard way through google when i first started the tablet and registered it with the option to restore the google data and settings option. Many apps stay just fine but a couple games and the kindle app disappear after a reboot. Is there something i am missing or can do or should i just exchange it?

Don't install/move the apps to as card. That is probably the issue. If that doesn't work report back.

Has anyone been able to get apps from multiple regions working on their Fire TV? I have been able to change locations and download apps but when I switch between regions (by deactivating my account and activating a new one), all apps fail saying 'App Not Owned' and they quit.
If I leave the 'App Not Owned' dialog up long enough, it changes to 'Authorization Expired - The time to authorize the user has expired' so I'm assuming Amazon is checking the titles against the logged-in user account.
I tried to install the app as one user, then pull the APK from the device using adb and then sideload the APK once I changed regions and was logged in as a different user. That didn't help.
Currently, I have it working so that I just deactivate and reactivate my accounts and the apps stay in place without losing my settings. Just a bit of a pain in the butt when I want to switch from ESPN (US) to Zattoo (Germany) or similar.

I have just one account (US account) but I'm in Ireland. I'm using a Smart DNS. I have downloaded Apss to the cloud on amazon.com by changing my device country settings which I think you've done and works fine.
e.g. US account, downloaded TVplayer (UK App), works fine and US Netflix account etc also work. I am not switching my accounts on the Fire TV. Maybe it's the smart DNS is the difference.

The apps get your location from the IP address. You didn't mention anything about changing that, so that is why it's not working for you.
No, I have a Smart DNS provider and have no problems getting apps from any region to work. It's just that in order to use apps from multiple regions (WatchESPN from the Amazon US store and BBC iPlayer from the UK store), I have to log out of my Amazon account and into a different account.
Was just hoping to find some way to have these apps on the same homescreen and be able to use them without changing accounts. My Fire TV is rooted if that helps.

I wanted to get Classic TV on there so that I can install ILama so I can be able to see my sideloaded apps on the home screen. I bought my Amazon FTV from a guide that roots them for you. His account's name is under his name but if I change it to my account, it being under his account, would that mess up everything??? I need help with this asap! Thanks!

You can change the login to your name. However if he has any of his purchased app from amazon such as AirDLNA. those will have to be repurchased and re-installed on your firetv. You can surely still access the amazon app store.
That means also I'm able to still access my 3rd party apps like xbmx/kodi?
Yea! I was able to deregister from another account to mine and still had all my apps! Now I'm able to get more apps and still see my side loaded apps still on there + was able to use llama to get xbmc to show up on the hone screen using Classic TV! That's so cool! I wonder can you use another TV app to open xbmc in?

Even purchased apps stay, however when you change your login, the purchased app will send you a popup that you are not licensed to use the app. That's what happened with the Airplan DLNA app when I changed the login. The Sideloaded apps stay just fine, regardless of the Amazon message stating that you will loose your settings.
I cannot find the answer to this anywhere. So, I have set up Amazon fire TV stick, registered with my Amazon account, downloaded apps, and sideloaded apps from computer, including adding some things to kodi, and added icons. But now someone who has Amazon prime (I don't) has said I can log into their account so I can watch free prime video. My question is, if I deregister from my Amazon account on the AFT, and log into the other one, will I lose everything on the tv? I'm not worried about the apps, but the sideloading I found very complicated? I won't do it until I hear, as I'm not sure I can go through all of that again right away!!!
You shouldn't lose the apps you sideloaded. They are invisible to your Amazon account anyway.

But you will lose the apps you downloaded from Amazon via your account.
I think he was only interested in the stuff he sideloaded.
By the way, not sure if deregistering your account effectively resets your unit. If it does, you may need to reinstall/sideload your apps. But if the apk are on the unit already, that should not be hard. You just need to install a file manager from the Amazon app store like es file Explorer.

I bought a firestick already rooted and now it is asking me to register with Amazon. It will not let me go to the home page anymore. When I try to register it, it will not allow me...how do i get my firestick working again?? Help!!!!!!
Easy. If you already have an Amazon account. Then log in thru that. If you don't or wish to create one anyway. Create an Amazon account thru a PC/Mac. Just use a web browser. Once you have created & possibly confirmed your account. Log in using that U/P. Nothing major.
You will have to purchase any free apps that where included/installed. For example Netflix, Youtube, Es File Explorer, Hulu, Downloader, etc. These are all Free apps for FireTV's. But the new account you are going to be using will need to have purchased what ever Free apps your FTVS/device had installed before. Those apps have not been deleted. But you need to add those apps to your "new" Amazon account if that account does not already have them as purchased (Even the Free ones must be purchased thru that account) for you to be able to access them. Any sideloaded apps like Kodi, SPMC, AppStarter, etc. Will not be affected by the change of accounts.
Once you are done purchasing your free apps. You might need to run "Settings/My Account/Sync Amazon Content" for all you Apps to show up correctly. It should do it by itself. But doing this manually is an option too.
