My stock earphone are brokken. I went to a shop but the person says that they are Rs.450. I wanted to know wheater there are any other head phones that work with g3 and have better sound quality.
I tried one skull candy headphones but they weren't as good as the Samsung ones.

EDIT - Thank You everyone for the suggestions. I bought a pair Skull Candy ears phones for Rs.1199. their is a significant increase in quality and the bass the really great. Never the less thanks for the suggestions....
PS. The skull candy headphones I mentioned above ,which weren't as good as the sammys, were for my iPod. It must be because of that I did not get good quality output.
My stock earphone also broke, so i got myself a pair of these
http://mp4nation.net/catalog/brainwavz-m2-iem-earphones-p-390.html
The build quality is very good and the sound quality is great.
As i use those and am satisfied, i can recommend.
I tried replacing my stock earphones with an iPhone one and also a DJ headphone (just testing), but I faced terrible sound quality with both, even compared to the stock. Is there some specialty to the G3 jack connections?

Beats by dre for £23.95 and u believe these are originals ? Originals cost over 100$ so please stop promoting knock-offs.
Did you notice that the price of headphones is higher than a new Galaxy 3?
Good earphones like headphones cost money, of course u can get new earphones for under 10$ but do you really want to use them ? I was just trying to help by saying what i have and that i'm satisfied with them.
If you want cheap and very great earphones, so take the wavemaster pure.. the sound is great..
I'm one of those people that love music, so I'd recommend some average priced Sonys or Senheisers. You could probably pick up a pair of either of these for $50CAN (I don't know how much RS) but the sound quality is good on them. NEVER GET BEATS. THEY'RE EXTREMELY OVERPRICED!
sorry i came into this thread late, but skullcandy and beats headphones are way over priced and hyped so exaggerate certain parts of the sound.
the poster above was right with recommendation of sennheiser, also audio-technica are very good headphones and lower priced models can out perform other headphones at twice the price.

Hey
For those not wanting to miss good music quality while they're not at home, I started this thread.
1. Use Poweramp or another music player from the Play Store. The standard Players often don't have a multi-channel equalizer, so these programms are worth their price.
2.Good in ear-earphones cost more than 150$. So don't have long pockets and short arms.
I made very good experiences with Shure Headphones. They start at around 100$
but you can also spend 500$ if you are audiophile.
I bought the Shure SE315 for around 160$ and im very contended.

Westone 1 Use with the Grey Memory foam, comfy, low profile, the best overall for me daily IEM and motorcycle IEM, great for all genres of music... Country to dubstep = ) or Yanni to Cradle of filth... so basically everything- Good seal = awesome sound some of the other inserts that came with it didn't seal as well and wasn't impressed at first.
Shure EC5 Most $$$ Awesome, Huge Size, Best Sounding IEM I have ever used!!!
Shure SE215 Not bad Bassy, lack of overall Mid and High CLARITY- Comfy
Senheiser Adidas MX 680 Great for running/exercising- Overall a flat EQ w/bass hint
Sony EX310 Great sound hated the overall fit to clunky...
Klipsch S4 HATED THESE? OMG why do they get good reviews??? AHH!!!
I saw the thread you started in the i9000 forum. Does Poweramp interact directly with the DAC? I believe Voodoo Sound skips the Android channel mixer, using the i9000's Wolfson DAC chip directly. The sound is amazing. I use it straight no equalizer (personal prefs), but you can salt+pepper to taste with DSP Manager. This seriously made the i9000 the best portable media player I've ever owned. Bonus that I don't need a headphone amp, too.
I used to have a bad headphone habit. I'm pared down to three now, and only two get regular use. $100-$150 is a good benchmark, but don't neglect the handful of great headphones under $50. There's other threads about that in Android and i9000 accessories, but my faves in that category are the Koss Porta Pros, Sennheiser PX200, and the discontinued Sennheiser MX500. They started a new line, and I'm using Senn's MX471s for daily beater headphones now, and they sound great after burn-in. In that in-between period, a lot of people seemed to switch over to the Yuin PK3.
In the upper end, I love the Sennheiser HD25-1. It's one of the standards for TV/radio news for its great clarity and noise-blocking. There's a great little company out of Brooklyn, too -- Grado, for open headphones. They did a collaboration with another 'boutique' hi-fi shop, Allessandro, and made some great headphones. I have the MS-1 and it doesn't get as much love as it should. Way more airy + super clear mids and highs, and you can hear amazing separation of instruments. The HD25-1 is good there too, with a stronger but clear bass.

looking for a good priced pair of headphones for use in a office environment. Need something that will block out noise from other conversations etc but provide a cd quality or better listening experience.
Really wanna go bluetooth but cant find much.
Also would prefer them to fit over the ear.

I used to use the Senn PX200 and then the HD25-1 in an office to block out noise, sometimes not even plugged into anything. Both are great headphones. The HD25 is now called the HD25-1 II, and *should not* be confused with the cheaper HD-25SP. For a little more on the 25-1, you get a lot.
The stock earbuds that come with the Gnex aren't half bad. SHURE makes great earbuds.
Agree with Shure. I'm in love with my SE215.
I love my ibeats

Tough mission
I'm still waiting for a good mobile headphones. The problem is you can't try them before buying so it makes the searching efforts frustrating.
i was able to try those earbud beats and they are good. They're mainstream and sometimes an eyesore seeing everyone wearing them, but in the end of the day, you want some good sounds, the beats can help you with that.

I kind of disagree with this statement.
Good in ear-earphones can easily be bought for 80euros (or around 100$) and up. I am currently owning Sennheiser in-ears for around 60 Euros (don't ask me about the model)
Also Klipsch does high quality in-ears for a very reasonable price.
Secondly, it highly depends on your Hardware. My Desire doesn't serve as a decent MP3 player at all, as you can hear so much interference with the antenna.
Arrow Best high end earphones for mobile use
nokia earphones and samsung are of high quality
Skull crusher from Skull Candy. its very good earphones!!

Hello xda!
I'm getting a galaxy nexus next week and heard it has one of the best "soundcards" in it, and wanted to get an "higher end" earbuds than the ones that comes with it. I have beyerdynamic dt770 pro 32ohm already for home use, but im looking for earbuds that I can use on the bus/plane and when training/running. My friend has iBeats on his htc sensation and he is pleased, but sometimes he calls random people because its only meant for iphone I think? So this is what I want
- Good quality (durable)
- Good sound (Listen mostly to hiphop, dnb, metal)
- Good bass
- Volume control (dont REALLY need this)
- Compatible with android
- Price not above 200 usd
edit: Also they have to be noise cancelling. Does anyone know if the volume control thing support spotify? Thats the only music program I use and it would be really great to change song, pause and volume +/-
I'm currently using the Zagg Smartbuds. They sound great and are very durable. Its also designed to sit around your neck which I find works great for running and workouts.
It has a built in slider volume adjust which works with any phone and a single button/mic for answering calls and music control. I haven't tried spotify yet but when I use poweramp I can pause/change/play all my songs with the one button.
They are noise isolating earbuds and come with various bud sizes. They are about 50$.

Thanks, but dont seem to find Zagg here in Norway Ive heard good things about Klipsch image s4, they cost about half of the ibeats here in norway.
I'm using the Klipsch s4a model (designed for Android) and I love them. I've also swapped out the tips with Comply T-100 foam tips. They're much more comfortable, better noise cancelling and bass.
+1 for Klipsch S4's, been using them on my galaxy nexus and love the sound.
If you're looking for something instead of beats you should try ultimate ears triplefi out. I got them not to long ago and they've been working great so far.
http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Ears-TripleFi-Isolating-Earphones/dp/B0019RBJOE/
I use a jays one there nice but lately I have been switching to the stock headphones for the in line mic. But I think ima look into the s4a
If you want something cheap, but yet has damn good sound then I recommend the ZAGG Smartbuds. ZAGG always has 50% off coupons through their Twitter so I got it for 25 bucks. If you want something a little better and a little more expensive, then the Klipch (I think I spelled that wrong =/) is your best bet. I believe they're under 100. Good luck!
i have the Pure Pur-1000 and i've gone through many earbuds and these are the best sounding kind.
make sure you break them in correctly though-- i left mine playing on a playlist overnight-- takes around 20-30hrs though for a full break in.
I have used the Kilpsch Image s4's as well as others in here and agree they do sound great. The problem I ran into with them was getting them to fit comfortably. They are IEM's meaning the go into the ear canal. I have Sony MDR XB40EX model ear buds. They are great if you really like bass, and the overall sound quality is pretty good.
you wouldnt think this company would make great earbuds but you have to check them out best sound for the price $50. ifrogz timbre pro

Brainwavz M1
http://www.amazon.com/Brainwavz-BWAVZ-M1-M1-In-Ear-Headphones/dp/B004IK2EAW
I've been using the Yamaha EPH-100. I would say its one of the best under $200. Do dig into head-fi and check reviews
These won't win any awards for looks, but they sound DAMN good for the price. Give all those higher end buds a run for their money.
Monoprice 8320
No noise cancellation, but they do isolation pretty good.
If you really like bass, but want clarity and natural sound and don't mind paying a little bit more I would totally recommend the Hippo VB (Variable Bass). They have the deepest bass of the bunch, or at least appear that way because they lack a distracting midbass hump. Their bass is also quite controlled and rich in texture, more like a good full-sized phone, and clearly performing way above its price range. You can read some reviews of people who had them (and know what they are talking about) here and get them from ebay.
Have a good one
It depends on what sort of sound you're looking for. I, for instance, appreciate the lush midrange (vocals, many instruments) of my Thinksound Rain headphones. They're durable, too. I accidentally put them through the washer and they came out just fine.
Thinksound's TS-02 would be a good model for a cell phone. I'd buy them myself if I wasn't already happy with my Rockboxed Sansa Fuze.
The guy who owns Thinksound, Aaron, is amazing. I sent him an email complaining that none of the included eartips were a good fit for my ears, and he contacted the factories in China to see if any others could be special ordered for me. The answer was no, but it's the thought that counts.
I don't know about the Klipsch. But I had the Zagg ones and decided to use my stock ones from my old xv6700 instead, just wasn't a fan.
I use skull candy 50/50. Great sound and bass. Just wish the in line mic would work.

I've been using Meelectronics as of the last year or two. They have lots of great low priced ones (my current pair is $10 and are on par with $40 pairs I've owned). They also have some higher priced ones in the $50-$80 mark, and from looking at the reviews, they're worth that much as well.
The company is all over Amazon. Check out a few pairs of their headphones and some of the reviews, and if you go with them, enjoy!

Sorry that will not help in any case to find some good Inears
Don't get me wrong your advice is just crap. Especially Bose sells overpriced models which are not worth it.
If you can catch up an Ultimate Ears Triple fi 10 I would recommend that. They are sometimes around 120Dollars at eBay or Amazon. The Beats are around 150 and look better, but the sound of Triple fi is just outstanding for that price. The other upside, I haven't seen any fake of them. UE announced a new replacement for them so try to get them. (Review: http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones/ultimate-ears-triple-fi/4505-7877_7-32492509.html)
But as someone wrote before if you just need some Inears, the S4i from Klipsch is also no bad choice. The difference to the UE's is huge. But everyone has to decide how much sound and price matters. The S4i has a lot of bass, but is not as clear and sharp sounding.
Best regards from India,
Rotesmofa

yepp, be aware they are not as hip as the beats. They are big, but the sound is for me better than any 300 to 400 Dollar In Ear.
I have à pair of Shure SE215 and think they're great. They cost around 100 dollars, but I see them on sale allot (I bought them for 50 bucks).
It's not the absolute best, but reasonably priced and great for use on the go.
PS. the Note does not have great audio output anyways, so buying top quality JUST for the Note seems pointless to me.

Beats? Please no. Go over to head-fi.org and ask your question there. Tell them you're about to buy into the beats hype but decided to go do the sensible thing by asking people around you first. There's a lot more to the world of headphones than what gets advertised. And with that, go listen to a pair of beats (doesn't matter what kind, all of them sound muddy anyway) THEN listen to, say, a Beyerdynamic DT1350 (which is in roughly the same price bracket), then report back.

Aiaiai track headphones are great. That's my daily commute headphones. Retro, not for everyone but sound is great ~80us. I have the ATH-50M which are awesome studio level headphones. ~120us these are for work when need to drown out the office noise. Just order Sony xba-bt75. Suppose to be one of the best bluetooth earphones. Kinda expensive. But amazon has them on sale now. Should be getting them this week.

I recommend you read this article first.
First, Beats is just an over priced brand with so-so sound characteristics.
If you are really looking for best sound you should always pair your phone with a DAC & External Amplifier (DAC only if the phone is compatible, at this moment iphone and samsing galaxy S3; I am waiting for Note 2 to show up so I can test if it works with my FiiO E17)
If you listen OUTSIDE / OFFICE look for CLOSED headphones. If you listen in your HOME look for OPEN headphones.
Most of top end headphones require an amplifier. Check FiiO (they are very good and a good bang for your money)
If you just want a great pair of cans with GREAT sound and very good value look for Audio Technica ATH-M50 ($159) video here
WAY WAY BETTER THAN Beats. And cheaper.
For In Ear Monitors I prefer the Westone 4R. The sound is simply amazing without the need for an amplifier.
Hope it helped. Best

I've bought HTC One X three weeks ago and im very happy with it. Now I'm looking for a good headset to improve music quality. I've been thinking about getting a Beats Audio Solo HD, because I thought they would give me the best experience considering HTC One X comes with Beats Audio chipset and they look very stylish and smaller/lighter comparing to other Beats Audio models. Is there anyone confirm that my choice is correct, considering price/performance ratio? I've read many reviews but im confused now as everyone have different expectations (some say sound is muddy, bass is overpowered which causes mid's and hi's to be lost, some say they're not comfortable after 10 minutes of wearing and of course overpriced for such a headset and there are better alternatives in the market). What I look forward in a good headset after good audio quality and looks is noise isolation. I take a lot of bus rides so don't want to make everyone listen to my music Thanks in advance!
Beats = way too much bass and overpriced
Warning ! The Beats solo HD is totally overpriced !
I am quite an audiophile, play some instruments and listen to a LOT of different styles of music (electro, hip-hop, rock, etc.)
The only and unique reason you would like to buy a Beats solo HD is for the look (if you like shiny and cheap plastic)
If you're looking to improve music quality, forget about Beats headphones and try some sony, sennheiser, akg, beyerdynamic, audio technica..
My actual headphones headphones are AIAIAI TMA-1 and they are just AWESOME, a lot of bass with crispy end clear high and decent mid, removable jack cable, great design (personal) for around 200$ here in Switzerland. They were hard to find, but I love the fact that nobody wears the same in the streets (people all have iPhone 4s + Beats studio here )
Anyway if you want to keep it simple just grab a 70-100$ Sony bass headset and you will have a much better headset as the solo HD for half the price. :good:
I have Solo HD and they are just awsome ! And with music MOD's are even louder and have more bass ! I know the price is big but I highly recommendate them !
I also have the Beats Solo HD. They´re sounds excellent! Not so expensive I think.....in Germany 159€ only.
I wouldn't go anywhere near Beats products. Bass is overpowering to the point that the mids and highs are distorted (in my experience with a few of them), so if you're looking for clean audio or even discernible mids or highs, stay far far away from Beats.
in what genre of music Beats Audio fails to at? this "distortion" seems to be changing from person to person... everyone has different taste of music after all
lol at the hypes over the beats headphones. From most music professionals point of view, beats is clearly overpriced for its price range, as there are plenty of better ones available. You should shop around and see what your ear is most comfortable with, not following the sheep. And no, the beats audio on HOX is merely just another marketing hype. Having a pair of beats headphone around will not make your headphone sound better.
I bought the Beats Solo HD (for three days). what a bad sound.
Now I have the Beyerdynamic DT 501 p
If you looking for a headset see "Beyerdynamic, AKG, Senheiser, Bowers & Wilkins, ...."
there are many good manufactories .. for a less price then the beats and a better quality
I prefer in-ear headphones, they sound more natural. Anyway, I have a Beats Tour and a Sennheiser IE60. The second is much better! I know it is more expensive but it is just another level of quality. If you like in-ear and wanna spend 250 bucks, just get it, you won't be disappointed.

Yeah, I really don't get why people buy Beats earphones when £30 Sennys or Ajays... or even Sonys sound better! If you really want to spend £150 on headphones, try a brand who depend on the quality of their product rather than hype and a celebrity endorsement... Shure or Etymotics, or something like that... everybody has different taste and perceptions, but the fact remains that Beats are a terrible value proposition. There's a world of choice out there
