Hi,
As we all know by now there are new developments in the custom rom scene. A few good developers have started OmniRom. One of those developers is @XpLoDWilD, the former CyanogenMod maintainer for the TF300T.
For more information about OmniRom, see their website www.omnirom.org.
Personally I think the start of OmniRom is a very interesting and am curious which way this is going. I do not know where this will go, but I will try to keep the TF300T updated with the new features of OmniRom.
So in this thread I will be posting my builds of OmniRom for the TF300T. These builds will be unofficial until there are official nightly builds put out by OmniRom.
Be aware that OmniRom has just started and a lot of features still need to be implemented.
So if you are willing to give this a try, then you can download OmniRom for the TF300T in de second post.
Offcourse you will need the Google apps. They can be downloaded here:
http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip
If you want to have root access, please flash the supersu CWM package. It can be downloaded from here: http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
As usual, flashing this rom is at your own risk.
Have fun.
Scanno.

scanno can answer this question personally, probably will with much more info, but the OmniRom kinda addresses what focus there is on the tf300 currently wouldn't you say?.

I don't think I know what you mean exactly. Xplodwild stated once that the TF300T wouldn't be abandoned. So I'm curious whether he will support it by himself or leave the field to other maintainers.
Anyway, I'm glad scanno is still developing for our Tablet :good:
I'm very happy that we have dedicated developers who can make some significant contributions too!
I am satisfied that without an official maintainer, we will still get updates from time to time.
At the moment there is no maintainer yet. The device tree has not yet been added to the repository. @XpLoDWilD is more busy with general Omni stuff at the moment. If my device tree is added and i am asked to maintain the TF300T then i will do my best to do so. The Omni project is just starting.
I must say again that i am not a technical developer and not skilled enough to do kernel stuff. So development for the TF300T has to be a joined effort.

As the original TF300T CM maintainer, I'll be glad to help you here Especially since it will be one of my only tablet test device
That's awesome news. Thank you, guys. You made my day
Is the ROM in Post #2 the one with fixed WiFi region selection?

If you install the zip in the second post you can see how multi-window works. Just remember that you cannot use wifi yet with channels above channel 11.

Could you, please, make it compatible with ME301T?
People, a new build is out. It has the wifi region commit added and multi-window.
And i added some screenshots to the first post.
Hi there. I did install this rom and it runs fine at this moment. Did a factory reset first. So i need to install my apps first to see if it is good enough to run as a daily driver.
Only thing i am intresting in at this moment is why cant i see the performance tab in settings same as the screenshot on page 1 ???
Is there TabletUI on this?

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

There are no Google Apps bundled with CM ROMs, because Google asked Cyanogen to remove copyrighted apps from his roms,

Maybe the thread starter should add a faq. The "how can i activate developer settings?" question will come again and and again. People will complain about it

Just out of curiousity, what makes it so difficult to develop for the TF300TG?
Are the RIL libraries that Asus uses so different from other Smartphones? Or are there no sources available for the hardware bits that provide the phone/3G capabilities?
Not trying to talk you down, just being curious!

Hi !
Nop is not difficult ....but where is "Transformer TF300TG Android Development" or General specific section ? - as you know also Asus has a separate section for TF300T , TF300TG and TF300TL !
- unfortunately I think any developer not had this device ... for me is not hard to work also for TG version , but is not the same source as TF300T , and I also started working on the new model Archos Gen10 ! - So, honestly - believe me, I would not have time
Good luck ! :good:
Is the youtube issue being looked at?
Its not listed on the bugs list.

SlimRoms is a custom android operating system. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam works together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and you can stop by the public Gerrit to submit patches of any type.
SlimLP is currently in alpha/beta stage, some settings are already in place, much is still missing and it will come with time.

Please go through the ROM build up process in your mind, if you know how a ROM is built.
With that in mind, don't Tell a Developer what they should and what they shouldn't do, because, what users see is the end result that's it. Debugging ROM's, when sources are buggy is time consuming. And these new ROM's bring new features, the features aren't just lying in AOSP.
Respect Development and Developer's and most importantly have patience.
Guys, if you think a ROM is not complete, but the dev is no longer maintaining it, you have only one choice left: complete it yourself. The developers have no obligation to you whatsoever. Remember, you're not paying them (and donations do not count as payment, it only shows that you value the dev's work).
That being said:
---> thread cleaned
Let's move on, please

Shawn... You should better focus in your other ROMs that you manage, and better dont make any promises like that you will upload another built today. You are a good developer. And hope to see more updates

Wait ... is this a new thread for the same rom?
Just installed 06192015 build over the weekend with opengapps (http://opengapps.github.io/opengapps/) stock set of apps. Worked great! And google play restore went flawlessly.

I don't think you will have much success on features request here.
This is a official ParanoidAndroid ROM, so the only features you will get are the ones added by ParanoidAndroid team for the ROM built for all devices they maintain.
Of course, I can't be 100% sure about that, it is a guess from my side. The only ones that can confirm are Thecrazyskull and DC07.

Yes your correct. There are two divisions of Paranoid Android...Legacy and Official. Legacy is all the non-Nexus devices. So titan is part of the Legacy category. In that category there are two sub-divisions: maintainers and "the core team". Maintainers mainly build for their specific device and maintain the device specific code such as the device tree, vendor tree, and kernel source. They also work to fix device specific bugs. Though maintainers have NO control over the AOSPA-L source. The source is coded by "the core-team". So features requests are useless unless u report directly to the AOSPA-L gerrit. I know this because I maintain AOSPA-L for bacon

Well with gerrit everyone can submit features and contribute to the code so its not only the core team.
And if you want a feature you will have to do it on your own and when all is fine you can submit to gerrit and then the core team can decide if they want that feature to be in their official builds by merging it
Is it a bug or a feature (and if so, is there a setting to turn it off? because I can't find it) that when the phone is locked and the screen locked, I can still change the volume of the ringer with the volume buttons? I keep accidentally silencing my phone....
