Hello, I am currently running the Official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean (Build: JDQ39.I9082XXUBMI1) version on my Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos GT-I9082. But I just noted a few days ago that the STORAGE (Settings > More (Tab) > Storage) option is showing me totally wrong information. It's showing me that Used Space is more than 43 GB!!!! How is this possible where the actual capability of System Storage is only 8 GB where I still have a free memory of nearly about 1 GB!!!!
I am attaching screenshots of my problems. Please give me a solution. I've joined here with much hopes.

It's showing that Applications are engulfing that space. But, how is it possible? Internal Storage Capacity is only 8GB! Please tell me how to resolve it.

My opinion is to flash the 4.2.2 firmware again if the problem is still there I would suggest you to flash a custom ROM!

Do you mean, flashing/reinstalling the firmware with KIES for PC? But, is there any other ways to resolve the problem? How can such things happen? Any kind of Virus or Malware activity?
No I mean like you upgraded your phone to 4.2.2 right you could flash it again via Odin on pc
I really don't know anything else but I would have done the same thing if I were you

But I upgraded my phone through the FOTA update method. I didn't use Odin. I neither have PDA nor other files like MODEM, FIRMWARE etc. required for flashing through Odin. It's still is in a valid warranty period so I didn't use Odin with it at all.
Are you damn sure that it's a firmware issue and I must re-install firmware to have it back to normal once again?
Its storage bug.. So we will wait for next OTA update of 4.2.2 for fix the storage bug.. May be..

hello i think the solution to your problem might be to go to application data check under gallery and see the size. if its up to 43gb clear the data and you should be fine

Oh, it worked! There, I found it indicating Data size 42.09 GB! I just used the Clear Data option and Fussss!

Bro, simply just go to:
Settings > More (Tab) > Application manager > All (Tab) (Swipe your finger from right to left for 3 times) > Gallery (Scroll Down and you will get it)
There you'll see the huge amount of Fake Data size under Data row. Tap the Clear Data button. Press OK and you're done. :fingers-crossed:

go to: SETTINGS - APPLICATION MANAGER - ALL - GALLERY
Open Gallery and clear cache and clear data

I was looking for that file, but apparently, the ROM named DarkMIUI doesn't work with it

As title says, i am not able to use my Camera. i get error as indicated in the screenshot. Here's what happenned
Was using CM10 Beta 1 from dman (Kernel - LiteKernel CM10 - R2.0)
(As Camera was not yet fixed in CM10 kernel)
Later after few Days changed to LiteROM 0.6 (With LiteKernel)
I Noticed Camera had stopped working even after changing rom..
Here's what i have done after that
Re-flashed Lite-Kernel V1.0 - No camera
Flashed ICS stock kernel and also other versions of Lite Kernel,s.. still no camera
Re-Installed I927UCLG9_OneClick.exe
Also switched to gingerbread
Currently on Stock i927UCLJ3
Other Things Done

Did you wipe/format the system before you installed the ROM? I have a feeling you may have some old ghosted stuff breaking it...
That's the only thing I can think of that might help...
Please wait till the release v0.8 of liteROM (if your using liteROM) .... if you still have this issue.... then we'll see ... camera works perfectly for me ... and i've been on both... .... i'm not sure about other roms.....
Can you confirm that you flashed uclj3 with Odin? Wipe data cache and dalvik cache ? Repair permissions After installing cwm ?

I have already tried gingerbread (Osimood).. Same error ..
Maybe its a internal hardware issue. I had that o. My camera on my acer a100.

Had taken my phone to a local service center.. they mentioned that they are not able to figure the problem with camera..
and probably needs motherboard repalcement (Which cannot be done here in india)

Exactly. Permissions are in the unventd.n1.rc and should read
dev/m5mo 0660 media camera.
If these aren't correct you will get that error

Files in /dev are special. They're not real files, but interfaces to hardware. You can't copy a /dev file.

no it just has an x there. the wifi worked and all but i get a force close when i hit network it says something like com.android.phone fc something like that. this is my only phone so i flashed something else. Thank you ill see if i can fix it on my own.
