snapchat video recording doesnt work. is anyone else have this issue?

Hello I am having an old issue that I cannot figure out.
I can see others they cannot see me, allow video calling is enabled!
I am running Liquid Smooth stable release, and the newest version of skype.
Anyone have ideas on why or know a work around

There has been a snapchat issue for a long time.
The rear camera gives the toast "Video Reording Failed" whenever I attempt to take a video.
The front camera records video perfectly fine though...
I tested this on Gingerbread and ICS, it works on both.
I tested on jellybean (AOSP and TW) and it doesn't work
So I thought this may be an issue for just my device.
When I got my replacement phone, I immediately installed snapchat and saw that video recording failed on my new device as well (it was running stock TW JB)
But when I downgrade to ICS and GB, it works perfectly fine....
Does anyone have a clue about wtheck is going on? Does jellybean not have a certain patch for our device?
I'm not the only one experiencing this. There's many other reviews on Google Play for this device that say the same thing.

Not sure if you guys have figured out the problem yet but I have. I have found an older version of snap chat that works perfectly for our t989 phones, video recording works like a charm. Download the older version of the app here http://www.mediafire.com/?7py7jfbf809avey

I read somewhere that was a JB problem and the only way to solve this was to get back on ICS or put a older version of Snapchat! Your best bet is probably @iTz KeeFy link

Yea I'm currently running Kit Kat and the video recording still doesn't work for me, having to use the older version.

Ever since one of the Snapchat updates I have been unable to use the rear camera for video as well, since flashing CM 11 the front camera will record but only after a 10 second pause!

Downloading the older version of snapchat worked flawlessly. I can finally record videos!
Can someone on ICS or gingerbread give me a logcat of them recording rear camera video on Snapchat?
i found a fix and it works for me with liquid smooth rom. u just have to change the video camera quality from 720p to 480p by going to camera, video , video settings...

I have recently updated to CM11 4.4.2 KitKat on my n7100. Everything is pretty much 100% apart from the snapchat and instagram video is not working.
This seems to be an issue that quite a few users are having and i was wondering would anyone know how to fix the issue??
The Video camera seems to be working fine in the camera app on the phone.
Any help would be appreciated...

I been having issue using Cyanogenmod 11 (KitKit 4.4.4) with Skype? The video chat doesn't work. It just simply crash when you load the camera, but talking is fine. Maybe it's the Cyanogenmod itself or Skype been the crapper, but is there a fix for this?

I have issues with CM11 and camera software. Google goggles doesn't work either. I had to go back to CM10.2.

I been searching everywhere, but there is no solution. It works fine on 4.1.2, but nothing works at 4.4.4, regardless what ROMs I used. I think it's just fundamentally a bug with either Skype and Android 4.4.4.
I'm trying to see if CM10.2 will work...

I'd like to know if the new official mm update still has snapchat video recording issues. I've tried many roms, so far it only works on cm13 based roms and I'm still getting video lag. In 5.0 stock the video is completely black. Do you guys know any rom that does not come with these issues? Thanks
