What I know, for Germany forum this veri praise , mainly due to perfect optimize battery , said up to 20 % longer battery life .
Also, I'd like to use , but unfortunately no one is brave finish - B118 to implement the option to switch storage ( SD as internal) , for example, from B116 which this has .
Discussion on B118 is here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2464286&page=5

This is a separate thread that did not interfere together with B117
My P6 already lives with B118 for 3 days. I see no bugs for now. Upgraded via local update from B117, all my settings were retained and not changed during upgrade Thus upgrade time minimized, as I didn't have to reconfigure phone from zero state.

This Is International Version This Includes Gapps. Wifi And GPS Both Are Fine.
I'm happy with B118 after a week on blueandroid v2.
battery is improved (i believe) gps is almost instant and less drop outs when I'm connected to wifi.

When i bought my P6 around 12 days ago, B118 was already installed on it, but dropouts with wifi is still something they have to work on...other than that, I really like the phone.

From what I have read on the Blue Android thread it is based on B116. Did you install the Blue Android update on B118?
after few days on clean b118 i dont see any difference compared to b114, WiFi still drops out , GPS takes ages to find signal, maybe the battery stand by time has improved slightly
Upgraded to b116 via phone official update, then manually flashed to b118,
Unzipped the b118 file using 7zipper to a 16gb external microsd, dload folder
mgmt -> system update -> local update
No problems here that i've noticed over the last 3 days phone seems slightly faster and power management seems better

Are you from the UK? An online/official upgrade via phone is not something everyone out here actually gets and hence most users out here did not get that official B116 version you had. But I did read on huawei UK Facebook page that a UK regional variant of rom B116 would be out.
i belive B118 is B116 with some B117 things
Yes in uk

I got my device on B107, then updated to B114. Then i went to BlueAndroid V2 (which is based on B116), then installed a fresh B118. And it is what i'm running on now.

Latest firmware should be B116 - as far as I understand the Huawei firmware numbers.

I guess B115SP04 is just an improvement of B115, like CM10.1.3 for CM10.1. And B116 is a higher version with maybe additional functions, like CM10.2 instead of CM10.1.

The second one is for the T model P6, not the U06 model, the two aren't interchangeable on firmware. You can flash the European/International or Chinese ROMs onto the U model but if you look at the firmware version they both start with the correct U branding.
e.g.
First link - P6-U00_EmotionUI_1.6_V100R001C17B116SP01.zip - OK
Second link P6-T00_EmotionUI_1.6_V100R001C01B115SP02.zip - won't work on U06 model.

B116 and B111 are both stable - Huawei have gone for really strange version numbering. B111 is the international ROM (comes with Google apps, no Chinese apps), B116 is the Chinese version (still English text but no Google apps unless you add them yourself and a few Chinese apps). They should have gone for I000 for international ROM numbering and C000 for Chinese or something else logical in my opinion.
For what it's worth, I'm running B116SP01 as my daily driver with no complaints. Rooted, Chinese apps removed, Google apps restored. I had some problems when I installed it by running the update from within Android but none when reflashed using the forced recovery method.

None of the Chinese version ROMs have the Google framework - my post here lists the different version numbers and whether they're a Chinese or international release.
As long as you're rooted, it's pretty easy to get them up and running - I just backed them up from the most recent international install and restored them onto the Chinese version. If you do an upgrade from within a running international version to the Chinese one then it seems to carry your apps over anyway. I did have a few problems when I upgraded like this though and ended up doing a recovery wipe/restore to get everything behaving.
Make sure you have an .apk version of your root app manager of choice on your SD card ready to sideload after flashing then you can just restore the necessary google apps as a system app and get the Play store up and running and install everything else.

Hello.
It's possible to install an international rom in a T?
Thanks.
Hi guys
i got a P6 with a chinese stock ROM on it
when the device boots - some "3G WO" logo pops up with a chinese voice saying something
Model: HUAWEI P6-U06
Android Version: 4.4.2
EmotionUI: 2.0
Baseband: IMC1202_PENTA
and under "system update" there is this version: P6-U06V100R001C17B507SP01
i googled alot and read alot here but i dont understand if/how i can get rid of the Chinese ROM, and install a international (EU?) one
There is alot of bloatware in chinese language and the Playstore isn´t working :/

I would try to flash a international-rom with the 3-buttutton methode, in my opinion it should work.
can i directly flash this one without doing other modifications?
recovery --> flash --> wipe ------> profit?

I'm not sure you can install B510 directly. First you must install B132 (http://huaweinews.com/2014/03/ascend-p6-b132-firmware/)
Download firmware -> Extract -> Put UPDATE.APP in dload folder on SD card -> Turn off device -> Reboot holding all three buttons and the update should start.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong
i tried both, but i´m getting a nice "FAIL" ASCII-Art instead of the ROM
...
Checking Module CURVER ... OK
Checking Module VERLIST ...
Huawei SD card update fail
i also tried to flash from internal memory - same result :/
someone has in idea?
OT:
on my P6 "backplate" there isn´t the "CE 0197..." (like this one --> aivanet .com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/huawei-ascend-p6-161.jpg )
but only some chinese letters (i made a [bad] pic with my sgs2 ^^ --> i60.tinypic .com/iok7jr.jpg )
i dont believe its a fake one, its build- and LCD-quality seems too good to be a fake...
is it some strange Carrier-Modded-Version??

If your device was on KitKat B507 , you cannot downgrade directly to JB B125 . You must apply an intermediate step here ( you must flash a small UPDATE.APP) in order to be able to flash again Android JB by /dload/UPDATE.APP method!
Please search for "how to downgrade" here on P6 XDA - I do not remember exactly where is the answer, but surely you will find .
Sorry, forgot about that "middle-step" for downgrading! Check this post by Alex_79 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53200192
it worked!
"middle step" -> B132 -> B510
thank you guys
Google services are now working perfectly and the chinese apps are gone
one last question, can i get rid of the bootlogo?

Hi, today I've received an OTA update for my IdeaPad A3000-H (3G+WiFi, 16GB).
Old version: A3000_A422_011_022_140127_WW_CALL_FUSE
New OTA version: A3000_A422_013_025_140624_WW_CALL_FUSE
For now, the only thing I noticed was the different boot animation.
I have attached the image of the updated version (The language is set to Italian).

Hi there,
I received the same update today, but after downloading and rebooting, nothing happened, the update simply not installed!
After some useless retries, I used the CWM to install the archive from the folder sdcard0/googleota/ and it did work, for no clear reasons..
The difference so far I notice is only the boot logo ? but I believe there should be other benefits

Hi, its very strange... but its important that you were able to install it!
However, my device isn't rooted and maybe, in your case, CWM has blocked update... (this happened to me on a rooted smartphone!)
With this OTA update, my A3000 seems more stable, with fewer reboots than before (old version: once a day; new version: once a week!)

This new update is only OTA!
To get this OTA update, you must have the "old" version, dated 2014-01-27!
Then search new version, from Android settings (see attached image)!

Strange, this is never happened with my Sony Xperia tipo.. Anyway, you are missing a lot with your mobile not being rooted ?
I noticed the battery life got somewhat longer, there still no way to move apps to the sdcard.
And the Android version still the same ???? #I_want_Kitkat (Heh, don't be silly.. The update was just 3.5Mb or so)
I forget to tell you that it you use my method of CWM upgrade and tried to check for other system updates you will be greeted with the same update install screen! Don't panic, Your system has already been updated.
Fix: just remove/rename the Googleota folder and retry update check, You should be refreshed with calming screen that tells you how you already have the latest version..

You're right! On smartphone I have TWRP, not CWM!
However, for now, I'm fine with the stock firmware (In the future I will evaluate to flash an unofficial ROM)
The battery works two days (over 24 hours, tablet is turned off at night) of normal use (wifi on, 3g on, bluetooth on, several phone calls every day, several app with push notifications).
In addition, 16 GB are so many, while having numerous apps installed (more than smartphone).
In the MicroSD card (the other 16 GB) I'll put my music, pictures and videos made with the camera!
I think it's unlikely that we'll see KitKat on A3000... All I want is find a solution to the problem of BT headset that does not detect anything when I use voice commands or voice recorder!!
The stock rom is just too good to be replaced ? the only feature I really miss is CM theme chooser because I don't like the default white on black theme of the settings' screens.. Sigh, you can't have everything, this device is by far the best I ever had.

Should be like a breaking news. P6 is the first device to get update to international version of Emui3.0 ( minus the new devices likes Mate 7 or G7).
Happy that p6 users have it quite early than expected, and i have been blown away for past two months using it on my honor 6 (with 1080p display it gets more gorgeous). I feel it needs more attention among international users as the work Huawei has done here is so underrated and unknown of the great many unique design and feature implementations as well as lots and lots of subtle aspects you will come to notice with time.
Updated From B512 International
This update works quite well, but there are many apps and strings in Chinese.
A problem encountered, does not set the default launcher other than stock
It should be reset after the update?

edit:
I rebooted and installed Android apus launcher.

Very likely to be a bug to fix

I propose you to wait for the international EMUI 3.0 release, because this one has too many features, that stays in Chinese even when you choose English or other language. For example - automatic country recognition for incoming phone calls for known and unknown numbers. It recognizes the country, but displays the name of the country in Chinese. Another one is automatic location recognition in weather widget and application, which when locates you, shows the name of the location in Chinese, no mater what language you're using. I think that's because you cannot choose which server to use for weather information and the default server for this chinese ROM is weather.co.cn ... but you decide. There are many chinese applications as well !!!
So.
This is NOT official international?
Is like to know... I've been looking around and Ie no mention of it except here.
Is wonderful to have people working on this - if just rather not go anywhere near the B706

How can I go back to the B512 official?

That's right! There is NO international official B706 yet. And also I think, that the international release will be with different number, not the same as Chinese B706!

I don't think this is an european update since the build number goes C17B706, since all chinese firmwares are C17 and its the same B706 as the chinese one.

Let's have a good talk about everything EMUI 5 beta just to keep the other thread's clean
Latest beta build: B320
First of all I m really amazed from the multitasking performance of the beasty I launched every app that I have so far around 50 and the RAM is still only 1.76GB out of 3GB on the other hand 20% battery for 6 hours of use with constant 4g GPS what sorcery is this ???!!!??? Dark magic ! Huawei magic? Or just Nova!?!
What are the noticed differences between mm and nougat rom?
Please tell the benefits + some screenshots of these great...
Here's some screenshots from geek bench etc it runs great so far
It says Image cant be loaded
btw...title is not right... it should be Nougat /Emui5 on nova discussion hihihi (i think)
Here is a clip from the Nova screen it's laggy at places but shall do the job

You need SD card not your internal storage to do the dload method there is a b320 for the L01
@piko1bg
Could the colors of the tiles in notification pull down changed in color? Or do they belong to the themes?
Thanks for this great review. Split screen seems to be a success with knock sense...
I'm thinking of abandoning the xposed till @rovo gets the nougat version to work - i like the network speed meter module on the left side of screen not in the middle (that's all i need from xposed for this time)
(... away and secretly downloading update files...?)

It's strange xD We are not forced to have an SD card ^^ i hope a other method will out :/ I could install it but suddenly I can not :'(
I never try'd to do it from the internal storage but it works try it let me see if I can find the L01 update link
Merlin21 About the notification icon color they are just that blue I'm not able to find if you can change it so far about the split screen it works like google pixel without the knock sense hehe there are a lot of hidden secrets In to the Nova's EMUI 5
Hi guys, i've CAN-L01 eu and i've updated to nougat. Notification led is not working. Someone else has same problem?
i have good news everyone the CAN-L01C02 received B306 i assume its Nougat?
Just go and check your phone settings ?
Android 7.0
we need the boys from Huawei to give us an downgrade update for the nova (i dont know if the P9 one would work )
To downgrade the following should work?!
- easily flash twrp recovery via fastboot
- wipe and restore full backup from emui 4.1 with twrp
I believe this should work...? What do you think?
I still didn't flash emui 5 because i like the design of 4.1
Huawei haz some kind of an update method so we just need to wait for a bit they would release one for Nova too i assume
i really like EMUI 5 its stilll not fully optimized but looks great feels snappy with occasional lag but its beta thats normal
