[Q] Can I make a complete copy of a rooted Inc2 onto a stock Inc2?

Heres my situation...
My sister has a Inc2 that I rooted for her and flashed CM7 and tiamats 1.1.4 kernel. Her fiance just got the same exact phone. His is completely stock and unrooted but he loves my sisters set up. They live pretty far away now so I cant set up his new phone myself, and neither of them are very tech savvy so they cant do it themselves.
Heres my question..
If i had him clear his internal storage and his sd card, would it be possible copy EVERYTHING from my sisters phone onto his stock empty, stock phone? Or somehow restore a recent backup of my sisters phone onto his phone?

Really, the only way I can see this working would require his phone being rooted as well. Then it wouldn't be a very hard process. You could have your sister make a backup in Rom manager, or in recovery, then copy that backup and use dropbox (or some other means of cloud storage) and upload the backup, then have him download the backup, then restore it through Rom manager or recovery. This would give him the same setup as on her phone.

Well not really. Could just do a nandroid of his sisters, place the nandroid on the SD card if her fiance's using either a mini usb or an SD card reader, then just do a full wipe, restore, remove any apps from her install and remove her accounts and add his. Should take long. It's the same process I use when i get a phone replacement from insurance. I just load a nandroid from the old one.

I just rooted my gfs 2.3.4 inc2 today and it took about 30 minutes. Just tell them to follow the instructions to the T

Im thinking of going the nandroid backup/restore route... but his phone doesnt have clockwork recovery yet. Once my sisters nandroid backup is on his sd card, would I be able to restore the backup using the stock recovery?

Seriously though, if you have a question.. why wouldn't you ask it in the Q&A forum? Don't you want people to actually respond. The only one being a "douche" is the one cluttering up the forums and not following the simple guidelines.

This is why people are shying away from xda. It seems every other post on here, some mod or dev has to be a jerk. Would it be so hard to say "next time post this in q&a." I understand it happens often, but that is part of a large forum such as this. I used to frequent xda, for all my android needs but lately I can't stand the negativity all the devs on here have towards new comers.

So the Q and A subforum is for technical questions regarding rooting and in depth technical problems? Thats funny because Ive seen plenty of those in the dev subforum with no attitude from the mods. Im new to posting on xda so they would not let me post there, otherwise I would have. The last two honest questions Ive posted I have gotten a smart ass remark from the mods.
THATS why Im so upset, Im sure theres plenty of people that feel the same way.
There are other forums that arent modded by angry nerds on high horses. From now on Im just coming to xda for the downloads.

No. The Dev forum is for those posting threads that are mods or roms. Questions about said mod or Rom should be asked in that thread. All other questions belong in q&a.

This isn't being a jerk. It's the truth. Like i said you go to the dinc2 section and you see the q&a sub forum...now where do you think a QUESTION belongs? The only smart ass was the one who got smart because his thread was moved.
And short of rooting the other guys phone, your only hope is maybe giving him the same theme to make his phone like hers..but he won't have root features.
Oh and if all you want is the downloads..don't ever post a rude comment again. If you are only going to take away, don't expect anything given to you.

He was running 2.3.4 (0.98 bootloader) so it was a little more in depth than I expected. I ended up emailing him super noob step by step instructions for downgrading to 2.3.3 and the download links for the current CM7 nightly and tiamats 1.1.4 kernel. Worked the first time.

Help wanted|ADT|

Hello everyone its M&S from ADT and im here looking for developers and themers. Life is now catching up to us and we now admit that we need help. DEVELOPING isnt an easy task when you cant focus as much as you would like, neither is Theming which is my main department. We need a strong team and thats what we are trying to build. It's only Myself and Melvin in ADT and we now realize its not about beating the other team, or having the most downloaded ROM out there, its about the users and respect for other developers. We are starting a new light of sunshine and so far its been bright. Melvin was single handedly working on BeastMOD alone while I still had my Sensation. I came in to revive BeastMOD with him for the 4.0 release and I must say it has been a huge success. I run the BeastMOD thread over in the development section. Over the past few days I have been so angry with the questions, trolling and constant nagging from the users and I have responded in ways in which I shouldn't have. I apologize to everyone for that because as a Developer/Themer I partially represent this community and fully represent ADT. Sorry to go off topic a little, but im asking for help because we need it. If anyone thinks they can be of any help please contact me via email, it's in my description.

In fact im using several of your build.prop tweaks on my phone right now. I cant possibly understand how much work you guys put into this stuff. Im not like Melvin, I was a themer before I even met the guy. If you can find one of my older threads on the vibrant you can see that im a generally nice guy, I just get pissed at the people who show disrespect to the people who work hard for them for no pay at all.

So it is my fault that you do not know how to ask your question. The question you asked was a simple question that was answered in M&S very first sentence. If you actually meant to ask a different question, that is not my or anybody else's duty to understand what you actually meant.

NO, I do not agree with telling anybody to "FU-- YOR MOTHER", but Master and Slave already apologized for that behavior. But I do not agree with people giving thanks to somebody that is wishing something bad to another person, specially to a Dev who is spending his time to develop something for a community free use. Yeah I think I was one of the first to post a good buy thread, but if you haven't noticed, all these threads labeled 'goodbye' are apparently being locked.
XDA is becoming big brother in censoring posts. First it's with goodbye threads, then it's with thanking our troops on Veterans day. What's next?
I wouldn't give this thread more then an hour or two before a moderator locks it as well. Apparently it appears to be a sign of the times.

I'm fine with the Goodbye threads being locked. A general welcome/goodbye thread is probably the best solution.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of goodbye threads. I think it's kind of a kick to the teeth to the people that still have the phone, even if that's not the intent. Plus, it clutters up the General forum.

Locking a thread supporting our troops shows that this moderater has no respect for his own family or friends that faught fornhis freedoms to be on XDA. Before anyone starts the nerd crap about the rules know that I dont care because the onley thing I care about right now is the men and woman who are in uniform or have been there that come to this site daily and make XDA a buck and I hope and really hope they delete my account I will not be back. It wasn't the mod's fault. Someone previously posted a comment that completely ruined any kind aspect the OP was trying to display towards veterans (Of all nations) to the extent that the moderated was forced to close the thread (He himself had posted thanks previously too)

Because Infamous is too boss for XDA.

I am not certain about what happened regarding all of the Infamous threads being locked, and under what circumstances this has occurred. All I do know is that there were thousands of xda members who have downloaded Infamous ROMs, and whom were very intune with many of the threads, as the over 10,000 posts and over 1,000,000 views indicate, and now all these members, including myself, are left in a lurch, so to speak, as there will not be anymore updates, ROM participation, communication amongst the members who had a vested interest in all of the Infamous ROMs, in addition to missing out on the camaraderie, which in my opinion, was the most important feature of Infamous Development, members helping members, and gladly doing so, which xda is all about.
Just my 4 cents, for what it's worth.
I for one, will surely miss the Camaraderie, of that there's no doubt....

Yall do know he left and ASKED to have his threads locked and to be banned because he acted like a child stomping his feet crying because he lost his dev tag. Which to be quite honest, he modded stock roms and added strings to the settings of aokp for app shortcuts and renamed aokp like it was all his work.

He literally asked for it kid. I saw the post. Literally word for word "lock my posts and ban me" after crying like a 2 year old and cussing at mods. For a Marine, he sure doesn't act like one.

And Because he is a Marine, and the way I've seen him handle himself in the threads and posts that I've been able to read, I'll give Jamison the benefit of the doubt.
Being a Marine and serving in the Armed Services goes a long way with me....
And being a Marine, amongst other reasons, most likely gave Jamison the fortitude to realize that all of this drama just ain't worth it, and wasn't going to sacrifice his morals and beliefs, and acquiesce to those whom he felt were not giving him a fair shake. I'm not speaking for Jamison, but this is how I feel, without knowing All the facts, but going on what I do know and have read....
I'm out too, as I'd like to see this thread stay open so that members have a little something to read regarding the closing of all these threads. Members at least deserve to know what occurred, where ever the cards may fall, but sadly that may never happen, and that's the most important issue as I see it regarding all of this.....
