Can we increase call band to high definition? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

We can increase the music quality during a phone call if we expand the frequencies to high definition and enjoy Bluetooth and headphone output.

I think you're blowed. Apt x for music over Bluetooth. Higher bitrates such as flac for music and music player that can play them. Audience chip for noise cancelation and HD calls need your carrier to support and I think it needs to enabled.

No, you have to adjust the frequencies to get high definition audio during a phone call, you don't know what I talking about anyways I'm talking to the developers.

Video recording improvement?

Just a query, now we have the camera libraries, is it possible that they could be edited to reduce the compression in video recording? Could the bitrate be upped to give better video?

With libralies you cant do NOTHING.
It just to make easy for devs to port it in their rom.

Ah ok. In that case, is there anything possible to improve bitrate?

How do you mean?

One of the main issues with the video recording on the arc etc is it records in low bitrate. If we can increase the bitrate we can improve the video.

Try igCamera or igCameraPro - you can set the video quality - i use 8 mbit (1280x720) on Arc S
Just had a look, I got the free one, limited to 640*480, but the paid version doesn't show in the market. Might be because of the rom I'm using
Ill try another rom and have a look, thanks!

Yeah, the pay version is called igCameraPro - had to search for it manually.
But I'm not sure if 1280x720 requires Arc S hardware. Not sure the Free version has limitation in that regard.
Found it. Got 1280*720 30fps at 20Mb working fine! Have to drop the sound quality for it to work though. Setting sound to stereo causes the framerate to go crazy.

Cool. Stereo shouldn't matter since Arc/S doesn't have stereo mic anyway.

The Arc has the capabilities to record in stereo.

[Q] Video recording Audio with weird "scritch" sounds

I was recording a live band and every now and then there's a slight "scritch" sound.
*can't post urls yet

please replace the [dot] thanks
Does anyone have the same problem?
Same here. Recording high frequencies causes same screeching type sound in videos.

ahhh, I guess there are limitations to this device. their music was a bit loud anyway. I did several recordings and the audio seemed fine albeit not crystal clear as it's only a smartphone.
Ive noticed similar problems with all of the galaxy s/note phones ive owned. Its improved alot from the galaxy s1 though where to much high or low noise would sound distorted. I noticed that using a pair of headphones with the built in mic helped me a bit on older phones but I have yet to try it on my note 2. Maybe if there was a audio tweaking mod like voodoo that we could try?

Sound Hiss

Does anyone else find when listening to music through headphones especially at low volume, when ever a sound begins to play you get a Hiss. Is there any mod to fix this.
It's the Android sound engine.
This video explains it well.

Quiet speaker volume

The volume from the speakers is pretty quiet. I have to turn the volume up to 100 just to hear dialog. Some reviews I have read mentioned the speakers were plenty loud, however that is not what I am experiencing. It happens with music and video. Any one else having this issue?
I have tried speaker booster from the play store and it helps a little.
Return it. I have zero problems with my speakers. They are very loud. When playing games I only have the volume up about 2 clicks from off.

You've tried different apps for video? Or games? Everything is quiet? Mine is quite loud unless the video itself is quite quiet.

I believe mine is on the quiet side also....my note 2 is much louder...

What vidoes or music did you play? It is mostly loud for me. Some youtube is louder then streaming from a tv app. Voices in the streaming apps are quiet.
Loudness is relative. I think its plenty loud. However I think all mobile devices suck, clip and distort at relative low volumes.... so...

I'm experiencing a similar situation with both games and videos. With the volume midway I can barely hear a thing with my ear pressed to the speaker. Using headphones I still have it set to full and find it lacking. One of the main reasons I bought the tablet was screen resolution and supposed sound quality...my kindle HD makes this sound like a joke. With the other comments here I'm wondering if I do in fact have a malfunctioning unit. Just five minutes ago I had my first random reboot too...

I returned my nexus and the new one is much louder. It was definitely a problem with the speakers.
is there a loudness BEATS audio or any mods apk file that improves the sound? i find it too low
Really? Looks like I'll be doing that today.

I too definitely find the speakers to be lacking. Videos on YouTube are very low and music is not anywhere near what I thought it would be! They made a big deal about the Fraunhofer audio but I am pretty disappointed.

I agree that the audio is quite low especially when compared to my S4. BUT the sound quality is better. I guess its give and take.

How can you tell the sound quality is better if you can't even hear it???

Many apps, videos and music files are quiet on mine too. It's the file not the tablet. For a song I just download from somewhere else. For apps you can edit the apk or just live with it. not much you can do unless you are quite familiar with computers.

Resolution to Bluetooth headset volume?

I was just wondering if there ever was a fix for the Bluetooth headset volume problem. During my time using my M7 I used my PS3 Bluetooth headset and never had volume issues, but with the M8 I can barely hear out of the headset with all of the volumes maxed.
The idea of hands-free it defeated if one has to hold their headset in to hear anything.
Sent from my 831C using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Going to guess from the silence that it's a no on a resolution and the M8 is just flawed when it comes to Bluetooth audio. Strange though, because you'd figure there'd be some sort of fix for it somewhere out there.
