First of all, you really shouldn't try a different phone's root toolkit on any other phone. Each phone has a different system and more importantly different kernel that interacts with the recovery and the hardware.
That being said, go to this link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2315529
Download .tar (not zip) file recovery according to your firmware (4.2.2 or 4.1.2)
Then follow this guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46395577&postcount=19
Or this guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2368819
Or this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jm1ssFkEaN0
All the methods are the same, and there are a couple more threads on this in General section.
I totally agree with icehotguy don't experiment

1. calm down
2. you didn't mess up anything, and even if you did mess up, everything is fixable, that's why we have these forums
3. its easier for the phone to detect internal memory that's why it was suggested but it will work even if it's in external SD card.
Now follow this all over again,

If even after flashing a new firmware your phone doesn't start then there's a good chance your efs partition might have been corrupted or deleted, at which point you will have to take it in at Samsung service
For firmware of your phone :
Find your region code (INU/INS- india, SER-russia and so on) and download the latest build (check build date)

Use a place that is near you, or in the general area. MID region code is close enough so should be almost same for your region

What are you trying to flash?
Are you doing it via SD or via PC? I would assume via PC since you got an error on your PC...
Can you try flashing via SD?
Did you unlock your phone? Did you try to load the stock rom?
You can probably just put the stock rom on the sd card, and load from there.

Root of SD card == no folders. 0 folders. Just put the file on the SD card. Not within a FOLDER.

Never said he wasn't.I said the physical location of the phone had no relevance to the locked or unlocked state of the phone.
That would like saying cars can only go fast if they are in France. Completely illogical.

If this is a Sprint RHOD. Then it should be a Rhod400.

You don't know what kind of phone you have for sure, you don't know what rom was on it for sure, you don't know what rom should be on it, you can't download roms, and you are about 5000 miles away. What do you want us to do?
Go find a repair shop. We can't help you.
i am using touch pro 2
it have sprint ROM Wm 6.5
i have recently downloaded ROM but it give BOOT LOADER ERROR
should i try other ROM also
what can be the cause of BOOT LOADER ERROR,is it due to wrong ROM VERSION ?
I HAVE CONSULTED 2 repair shop they keep my mobile for a week and then return it,
because in Pakistan we have shortage of electricity,so repair shop cant give time to my mobile.

You still have not told us what phone you have. There are at least 5 types of touch pro 2s + some knock off ones.
Sprint rom WM 6.5 does not tell us what rom you are running,
If you downloaded a rom amd it gave you boot loader error, then it must not work on your phone.
I suggest that you find another repair shop that will be able to fix your phone in less than a week, or just buy a new phone.
Good luck. You are going to need it.

This device is getting quite old now, so it will become infinitely more difficult to find the appropriate files, with valid links.

Hi all im having a problem with my factory unlocked n7100 i have downloaded the latest united kingdom 4.1.2 from the firmware section and flashed the 3 pda/csc/modem files with odin everything went fine but when the phone reboots i get two error messages (unfortunately process com.android.phone has stopped) & (unfortunately messaging has stopped) i have cleared cache and did a factory restore but the problem is still there the message app just crashes it is a fresh install no back ups and never been rooted also when i connect it to kies it says it is unable to update the version of firmware thats currently on my device i would like to use kies or OTA updates in the future any help would be much appreciated i have been searching for hours to no avail.
Try reading through Dr Kevin's threads again, just to be sure. Re-download the rom you want, from a different source and double check the MD5. Doesn't sound permanent, just a bad flash. Make sure you wipe everything again.
Thanks for the reply i re-downloaded the the same firmware again from sammobile incase somehow it became corrupted the first time with no luck same result could you point me to another sourse to download firmwares i have tried a similar firmware from another site but it on gave me the one file instead of the three which i flash with pda within odin but the problem was still there

Usually the product code is set when you Factory reset your phone in Recovery mode.. In your case it has not changed.
I checked in the Sammobile for Ireland based roms. But all seems to be carrier branded. So BTU rom should ideally work as it contains EIR CSC

Look my signature for N7100 toolbox, find PIT and download it
extract to .pit
Flash that PIT for PIT tab of odin (selecting pit will auto select re partition optiuon, keep it selected)
Again repeat but this time along with ROM file (single file ROM also enough). Rom file for PDA and pit file for PIT
Flash and report back.

Hi, I recently hard bricked my phone into QHSUSB DLOAD and I am going to attempt repairing it through the SD Card boot method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/editpost.php?do=editpost&p=47431259
I need a debrick.img to flash to the SD card in a Linux OS.
I would have gotten it myself but my phone is obviously dead. I found one before on XDA, but it did not work on my device and it gave me an error in the Linux terminal when it should not have.
-snip-
The end of the 3rd boot-loader stage in mmcblk0 is at 77.3 megabytes. If you are going to help out using your device, try to refrain from uploading an image with a different ROM other than root.
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/backup.img bs=2m count=81054925
The count is the amount of bytes. I am not sure if it is meant to be 1000 bytes=kilobyte or 1024 bytes=kilobyte. The count above is for 1024.
I need someone to install the Galaxy S III unified toolkit, and pull the first 7 partitions from mmcblk0 ,which is where the third bootloader stage ends.(Don't upload a heavily modified device please) http://www.skipsoft.net/?page_id=213 Once you get the files, PM me.
If anyone has a link to a working one, please post that. If you want to get your own image to help me, go ahead.
Thanks guys.
Sorry for the bump... I just need the device running again since the state it's in, it CAN be unbricked.

I tried to unlock what I thought was a locked bootloader(I could only enter bootloader through ADB)
I found an article that says ezunlock works on all S III's.
It corrupted my bootloader,and my phone gives off no signs of life except "Device QHSUSB-DLOAD not recognized" when plugged in.
This means the motherboard/processor wasn't able to boot from the hard disk, so then it tries the SDcard if it matches the phone close enough.
I need someone to use their rooted i747 to dump the first 77.3 megabytes of "mmcblk0". That contains the firmware and bootloaders. With that, i can burn it to an sdcard in a linux operating system and plug it into my phone.

Thanks for that link! It looks very promising, and I can probably find a stock boot.IMG in there. I will work on tomorrow. If I succeed, I'll edit the OP and make a debrick guide for this drvice forum. A word of advice, try not to mess with your bootloader or you end up like me

Hi, the toolkit didn't fix my phone, but its defiantly a step up. Since I'm assuming you have the toolkit installed that you suggested it, could you do me a favor?
It will be a bit easier using the toolkit to extract the partition files. If you could pull the first 7 partitions from "mmcblk0" of your device through the toolkit, it will probably set the next step to fix my phone. (Assuming you have a 16g i747... I don't really know)
You don't have to do this of course.
Thanks man.
Bump. Can anyone help out? All I need is the first 7 partitions.

either try using this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27239761 am pretty sure it works for all S3 models, either way on the I747 forum it has been removed, the download link does not work........ so use this
it will work, it may not work but for the time being use this toolkit and also search forums or Google on how to fix this without, i think i found some answers after i had an emmc brick with my S2 but i did not have an SD card to re-write firmware to work again on my phone so i bought the S3 and its awesome

Did you use an i747 or a i747m device?
If a i747m image works on an i747, it will basically fix all of my problems.

What message appears on your computer when you plug it in?
If it says QHSUSB-DLOAD, you are in faint light.
It stands for Qualcomm High Speed USD Download Mode.
What is means that your processor(qualcomm), is trying to boot, but it cannot find proper drivers for the hardware.
It will then look for something to boot from in the SDcard.
Here is a thread on how some other people were able to do it : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439367
I have an I747M technically. I went for an actual I747M image just in case there was a slight difference. in the thread that one came from though there should be one for the actual att device if you look through it.
and just to confirm, yes the phone was blank and unresponsive. showing up as QHSUSB-DLOAD before i loaded that img onto my external SDcard. and I am using the same phone currently.

Unfortunately that's the download I found that didn't work.
Thanks for trying though
damn! the only other help I can offer then, is that there is a pretty good thread on this over in the d2tmo section. someone there wrote a little tool to easily download the relevant data. might help you on your quest. or at least make it so you could ask someone that doesnt know ADB. best of luck!

OK , take out your battery and tell me your model number(Behind battery). And what phone company do you use?
Did you possibly save a NANDROID on a computer?
( if you have i747m, you can fix your phone, but its hard to do( I havnt done it yet)
Download this image http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46258374&postcount=172 (thanks to @Bradkirk )
Follow these directions using that image above^^^ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439367
You need to install a Linux operating system (Ubuntu works) to run the commands.
Edit:! According to the T-Mobile thread, you might need a debrick.IMG from a phone on 4.3
Once I know your phones model number, I can edit the main post and ask for you phone model's images.

I took it to a service to repair
My i9192 s4 mini got hard bricked while charging I don't know how or why it happened..
I found this somewhere in the forum.. can anyone make me a dump file for i9192 because I don't know anyone who has the same phone as me so I'm asking for help. I tried to bring it to a programmer but they said they have to j-tag it for 3days up to a week. but I don't want to leave my phone on other people's hand so I'd rather fix this myself.
help would be really really appreciated. TIA
initial situation:
- we have a brick with killed bootloader after unsuccessful flashing, not turning on, no reaction on buttons, no any mode available (recovery, download).
What is needed:
- any Linux, like Ubuntu, but more convinient is PartedMagic of any version;
- MicroSD card;
- working phone of the same model or dump of its first 139008 blocks (about 70MB).
How to make a dump:
- on rooted device download from Google Play app "TerminalEmulator" and run it;
- Enter su, appears "[email protected]:/ #", enter "dd if=dev/block/mmcblk0 of=sdcard/mmcblk0uptop7.img count=139008";
- after completion copy file "mmcblk0uptop7.img" from the phone to PC, for example to drive C:/.
How to revive the phone:
- insert MicroSD into PC and launch "PartedMagic";
- copy dump to MicroSD, for this open Terminal, we see "[email protected]:~#", enter "dd if=/media/WIN7/mmcblck0uptop7.img of=/dev/mmcblk0", where "/media/WIN7/" - it's your drive C:/, where stored a dump, and "/dev/mmcblk0mmcblk0" - your MicroSD in PartedMagic;
- wait for completion, remove MicroSD;
- put MicroSD to non-working phone, connect the phone to PC using USB;
- if all steps are done correctly, phone will boot by pressing the keys, using bootloader from external MicroSD;
- now it is possible to re-flash internal eMMC using Odin, to make a possibility to remove external card;
- that's all, phone completely revived.
Supported devices:
- tested on i9190, will work on i9192/i9195, should work on smartphones of other brands with new Qualcomm chips.
Technical details:
- details are too big to write. If you are interested - read about MSM8930 boot architecture and etc.
Some conclusions:
- Qualcomm has made a good modern chip, with a lot of feasibility, but not placing many information to open sources;
- Samsung - trying to complicate life of users by integrating of its own digital signature, what is leading to immediate bricking of devices when trying to modify bootloader. Be careful.

I don't know if there's another way tho. but thanks anyway. even my phone is not rooted. I'll bring it to a service center today but I doubt they can get it fixed because the warranty of my phone is in another country and I'm in the Philippines right now. probably I will have to pay for it if they try to fix it but it's gonna be expensive.. I just want to save some bucks and try to fix it myself but unfortunately I don't have another phone like this one to do that, neither my friends.
EDIT:
Unfortunately they keep refusing to J-TAG my unit.. they said that they don't have software to j-tag i9192.
I'll upload mine when I get to the office

its like this
BOOT RECOVERY MODE
CHECK BOOT PARTITIONS
COPY FROM T-FLASH
BOOT RECOVERY
WRITE 139008 SECTORS
FLASH WRITE FAILURE
ddi : mmc_read failed
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-I9192

same thing happened still on that root recovery mode.. the problem is I'm stuck at flashing my phone.. probably the problem is the version of the firmware @jburgos gave me.. I need to know what version is his firmware and where it came from so I can download the stock firmware for that version.
can you get into download mode ?? a quick glance a jburgos proflie shows he is most likely using a Latin American firmware , though i really doubt that it will make diffrence, if you can get into download mode you can try flashing it again with your stock firmware.
by mistake i had deleted my image file and right now i am on a really bad connection uploading another image will tale me 3 days

Man I'm stuck.. I thought I had it but its not flashing through root recovery mode
I wonder if I need the exact same phone as dump, or I need a longer address on dump, anymore opinion guys I'm kinda getting annoyed on my phone. idk what is root recovery mode either..
I'm currently stuck on Boot Recovery Mode that has no android logo.. can't go to download mode.
