I haven't seen this posted yet but the S4 sensor apps work fine on the Note 3. Here are a couple that seem very nice.

This one is just for humidity and temperature:

I didn't think the note 3 had a temp sensor outside

It sure does, try one of the apps out.
I have the S4 and just got the N3, i notice while the temp readout is nearly matched, the humidity is out by up to 8%.

Just received my flip - cover.
The design is good, controlling the thickness well by removing the original back cover.
May I know is there any way to quickly sleep the note 2 by flip-covering it, just like a netbook.
Thanks a lot

Yes, try Smart Screen Off in the Play Store

It doesn't actually lock the device though does it? Just uses the proximity sensor to shut the screen off.
Did anyone here with a 6502 manage to see their pressure sensor working? White papers said it was to have this.
I've tried several apps and none see this sensor.
Is it really there??!!

what app did you test it with?
I don't think that any pressure sensor is placed inside the ZL c6502 because sony service menu *#*#7378423#*#* which contains service tests also does not tests the pressure sensor test.
I think Sony forgot to put the sensor.....

I don't quite get whether the pressure sensor you guys are talking about is the same as barometer or not. About barometer read this. I have C6502 (black) and it must have the barometer sensor as it shows the altitude of present landscape correctly (screenshot below). U can use the app altitude from playstore or service test (for GPS). Although, it seems likely that pressure sensor is a different sensor coz service menu shows it as a separate test, which states that this phone doesn't have it. But it fails to test IrDA too (which we all have working), so I can't say much about it.
Pressure Sensor = Barometer.
The two are the same.
You're getting the altitude lock from GPS.
Try turning GPS OFF and getting an altitude reading. If you can do that, then it has the barometer functioning. Not otherwise.

Ok. The app (altitude) requires GPS to work, hence no altitude info without it. So, it seems either we don't have the pressure sensor or the apps are unable to access it.

I know that the S4 was advertised as having an actual ambient temperature thermometer sensor on it...
How do I actually see the readout of this sensor? not seeing anything other than the network weather data.
Any Thoughts?
On my phone, it is grossly inaccurate.

This app does not make hovering work. It just uses the proximity sensor at the top to fake it. There are other apps that do this better. I mainly use the sensor to turn off the screen when I close the cover.

Proximity Screen Off Pro by SHAILESH is the one I use - I tuned it up with the Dev and it works really great if you have the Samsung integrated cover case. But there is one secret to get it to work - the cover does not trigger the the sensor - in fact you can touch the cover and activate things on the screen if the screen is on. So to fix this problem I double sided taped (you can spot glue as well) a card made of paper stock on the inside of the cover and bingo works perfect. My wife had some cool card designs so it actually looks really nice a customized when I open the cover.
There are some tweaks to the timing you need to make as well:
Preferences:
Screen On/Off Modes
Flip/Cover Mode: ON
Timeout 1.5 sec
Enable Screen On using Gest - This lets you wave your hand over the sensor to turn on the screen - nice.
All Settings:
Enable device admin - this is a really nice feature- it allows you to have it unlock your phone when the app is active. It has a widget that I use to turn the service on and off. At home I use the cover, away I do not and the phone locks.
Flip cover fix - No Recognize Delay - ON Delay is 3 secs.
Disable call handling - On
Enable Schedule Start Stop
These are what I found works great for me.
